lol I am only seeing now that I didn’t mark as completed. Overall I sort of enjoyed and some of the scenes came very naturally which is new from gmmtv so yeah
I ain’t gonna defend Boston because yes he’s crazy manipulative and cares about no one however i am still very much invested on him and Nick, I am sorry, it’s just their insane chemistry for me. I also wanna see Boston taste his own poison and I believe Nick will eventually do that.
It’s crazy how people can actually fall in love with another at first glance and I guess that was what happened with Nick… it’s obvious that in order to stay with Boston he will have to suppress his feelings. I am very into then being fuck buddies but I will scream once Boston is in Nick shoes (I just know he will). Also their chemistry is fire. I’m always looking forward for their scenes more.
hate to say it but gmm delivered it. i'm especially looking forward to nick and boston storyline because i am just a sucker for the one who just doesnt care and the other who cares too much until this eventually changes (i can sense angst moments incoming) but also obviously my beloveds san and ray (aka firstkhao) who alwas deliver chemistry.
As expected I adore this show and it’s characters. Little character grow but I’ve learned that just like the name of the show they will do better in their next life.
Not your average body swap drama. I feel like this was more than body swap, bromance/bl or whatever genre they fit in. These are real teenagers having feel feelings, going through phases, getting to know each other while also having a God sort of controlling it but it wasn't corny. Great pacing and it was also very funny, the actors also fit their characters. I also think they were all bissexuals so here it goes my representation lmao
a bit inconsistent with who did it at the end and i ended up not caring it lmao i enjoyed it however and there was budget not the usual yellow lighting of jdramas gotta appreciate this one.
Is this drama about cheating? marriage problems? slice of life? character grow? I guess you can say all of them but at the same time none of them. What i can praise for sure is how the acting was great, also at times frustrating but strangely entertaining, great songs and aesthetic as well, however i wanna get deep in the four main characters and their flaws. First of all Yochan, was the most unlikeable one for me. At the first you would think he actually had some disease and that would be fine for some extent (if he actually had it, he could talk to Michi and they would solve this together) but he never had it, and could cheat on Michi just fine, because (on his words) the love that he feels for her, is not related to see her naked. It's pretty clear that he may love her but he was not in love with her at all, what he felt for her was the sense of comfort, almost like you have with a friend (on this case they spend their last two years of marriage actually being friends) and he was not whiling to give up on this comfortable life, because it was perfect for him, and he has always disregared her feelings and thoughts. Up until now i wonder how the author would explain this character because i honestly just think about him as a selfish jerk.
Michi, i think she's the character who grew the most through the whole series (if you ignore her extremely questionable choices on the last episode) She was never wrong but also never right. I would put her in the grey area. My ending for her would be something like Nagi from Nagi no Oitoma.
Niina, a very but very frustrating character with a puppy annoying face. This dude was never able to actually proper convey his issues with his wife and would always think he was the only one suffering. I also think his love for Michi stupid, it was like, hm, very messy like he just started it because they had something similar going on, but the way he conveyed it's feelings was somewhat rushed and it was clear that she never felt 1% of the same way he did. I wish they would fuck though, just to release their stress and give a proper ending to whatever happened lmao.
Kaede, was annoying but she had a point about her career, lost points on the feminist cause when she went to look for Michi, instead of speaking with her husband. I have no idea how they stayed together for 7 years, it's clear that she's that kind of girl made for so much more than marriage.
Agree about the lead actress (she was very good in Dali and the Cocky Prince though, or that role just suited…
Yeah. I guess they justified she becoming big for her fashion sense (and nothing to do with her personality or lack of it) about the romance it’s like hm we did see how it started and also the ending but the middle part? that’s what they got it wrong. he was a walking red flag for her until that kabedon scene at the lobby and for some reason she liked it and it implies they started their relationship after the kiss (also rather underwhelming) but what about first date? random texts, meeting families and stuff? I get it’s not a romance centered show but where we supposed to believe that they cared about each other so much? lol.
one of my favorite shows ever is Gossip Girl so i think i developed a taste for the genre 'rich people being rich people' overall i think this show was fun because was faithful to it, they were rich, stupid and very futile (and i loved it) aside from that my negative take on this would be the main actress. ive know her from Its Okay Not To Be Okay and she has this stoned face for literally everything, so yeah, having one expression during the entire show when it was demanding more got me very meh. (shes very pretty tho) also the romance was hm i wouldnt say unnecesary but rather poorly developed and they had no connection or great interactions.
Not really a fan of the actor who plays Kazehaya but I guess it was cute overall. They fast paced some stuff or totally cut it which for me was a good thing, the anime was just too slow.
Which would you say has the better romance? I have yet to watch them- I didn't know til right now that this is…
if you are looking for somehow physical touch that would be the korean one but if you like a romance more subtle that would be this version. regardless, the story is not romance centered so don't expect to much about it.
if i were to criticize something it would be the filter change depending on the scene. it may be intentional as the colours change in the opening but if it has a deeper meaning i didn't pay attention. aside from that though it is slow paced i enjoyed how raw and subtle everything was. like i cant remember word to word but when the young says that he feels crazy while looking for the elder one's face, literally the whole speech feels so desperate yet so real. so was the intimate scenes. also literally crazy how the songs just worked on the scenes like the Conan Gray one was peak television (or lets just say peak web series) not very crazy for korean bls but this one was great.
kiyoi's character development got me. of course hes still him but was fully able to receive advice, convey his feelings while hurt, bothered and stuff. while hira sadly is still traped on his little fantasy and i honestly hope that this will change on the movie because while i do get that they 'charm' is on them being weird at some point this has to stop. look at kiyoi changing!!!! hira go see a therapist now we need to move on.
Part 1 was okay i did expect more given the comments i saw online but i refrained to comment as i believed that part 2 would deliver. Overall the series is just slow and the last episode was just dragging. At first i didn't think this show was makjang (nothing against makjang shows, i love me some of the penthouse and the world of married) but i didn't expect this one to turn out the way it did. Some parts especially the nudity ones (specifically the ones with HyeJong and Sarah sort of masturbing herself at the church) + the excessive swearing came out as rather forced. Also i think the writers wanted DongEun to find happiness after the whole thing was done but if they did in a more subtle way or the romance just ending up in a future promise (that we wouldn't see it) it would be so much better, because it did get a little 'errr i really don't wanna see this' also i think that they had little too no close chemistry. Overall i enjoyed a few parts but i think it could be so much better.
