See, my problem with second seasons is that they always feel they need to break everyone up and start from scratch. Or they will end things on season one so everyone is broken up so that they can do it all again in s2.
I would be more into it if we were dealing with established couples, but I doubt we'll get that because the audience doesn't like it (or so they think). So I think that I will stop at S1.
Or maybe I'll just watch Friendzone since people say it's very similar.

I think Ray will try, Sand will stop him (and later do it himself, probably in a way that cuts into Boeing way more than Ray would), and then Boeing will slime on over to Boston and probably get laughed at (or we will finally get a threesome and then he'll get summarily told to gtfo).
That's a little optimistic for me, I know. I'm sure it won't last, haha.

I will say I do like that love hasn't transformed these dudes into someone else. They're demonstrably incredibly happy with each other, but Sand is still too passive and patient with people who do not deserve it and Ray is still reactive with a bit of a temper. Good. Being in love doesn't magically make you a different person. Boeing is annoying but if they can't get through this blip after getting through all the other shit maybe they need to accept they shouldn't be together.
I hope they do get through it because I actually quite like them together now that they're on the same page about what they want and where they stand.
I do feel like I get Sand a lot here, He really loved Boeing, the show goes out of its way to showcase that, it must be rough having him suddenly pop up and bring back a lot of feelings that Sand hasn't really dealt with. I'm not surprised he floundered, or that he put up with Boeing pushing him in spite of very obviously not wanting him around (seriously, he rolled his eyes at that man at least once in every scene, and not fondly. His jaw was also constantly ticking in that way it does when he is annoyed by something). Do I think that he needs to brain Boeing with his guitar? Yes. Am I surprised he didn't? Nope, because that's Sand all over.
The only time I got irritated with Ray was at the very end. I get what he's going for but the problem is that Boeing ain't gonna say no, and Sand clearly doesn't like it but Boeing isn't a one night stand that he has no issue getting rid of. It's someone he was planning a life with who he is (stupidly, I admit) trying to keep as a friend (not that I think you can't be friends with your exes - I am friends with several lol - but Boeing doesn't want to be Sand's friend and he's pushy af). Completely different from every situation that they've been in before. I'm not surprised it's biting both Sand and Ray in the ass. I get why Ray is upset but he also said he'd let Sand handle it. He's not. Sand might be going too slowly for Ray but I have full confidence that he'll get there. He's not going to pick Boeing, lol. Come on. There was more danger of RayMew being a real couple and we all know what a farce that was.
As for Boston...I am furious. Utterly furious. The way that Atom was let off the hook for what he did by nearly everyone makes me want to throw things. He accused Boston of raping him! HOW is everyone just like "oh well, you know. Kids do shitty things on their way to finding themselves."??? If this were any other character NO ONE would be taking it this lightly. And I bet they will have Cheum apologizing next ep but half of it will be victim blamey - "if you weren't such a slut then maybe it wouldn't have worked so well." I would bet money on it. I mean I'll defend and support Sand even if he is wrong, and I'll even go further and say that part of the reason I've been as hard on Ray as I have been is because he's been so regularly not great with Sand. I can admit my own biases.
But I also feel like all these guys are painfully human. That's what makes them so damn frustrating so often - because they make very very human mistakes. Like Sand here. He loved Boeing. Like really loved Boeing. It's clear. It's also clear he never dealt with Boeing leaving - he just pushed it down and called it good. And now he's back, and he *has* to deal with it. Him floundering is actually the least worst thing he could be doing here.
He's already moved on. He just needs to catch up with that now that he's being actively confronted with the past that he's been ignoring. I don't know if we really have the time for that in one ep, so I guess we might get a sequel after all. Joy (I say sarcastically, because boo sequels the only sequel I want is to Midnight Museum).
