I want Sand's ex back too. Not because I think Ray will be jealous (I don't) but because I want to see Sand *really* lose it and I think the ex is the key.

Why would Ray go so scorched earth and then run off drunk and angry, then?

If you like and can handle a lot of mess and the fact that these couples will probably split up and stay that way...highly recommended.

If not, better to find something you will enjoy.

To me he's doing it like someone whose virginity has been a contentious topic for a long time and who now feels humiliated and played, more a conquest than a boyfriend.

While I still think that it's the Boston of it all more than the sex itself, Mew considers himself cheated on here, and being cheated on can really fuck you up. It feels degrading, humiliating, can make you feel dirty and used. It's proof that your partner does not care about you emotionally or physically or mentally, because all those things are at risk when you're cheated on.

Add that on to the fact that Mew clearly saw his first time as something special to do with someone he loved rather than a ticket to punch, he's gotta be feeling extra worked up because he gave this special thing to Top and Top never deserved it at all.

It's *because* he grew up with a loving family that I think he reacted like this, and it's also why I think he'll be the only one emerging from all this relatively whole.

I thought they were very good this ep. My guess is Mew's gonna cheat back though so we'll see if they come out of this being able to even look at each other.

Oh I haven't seen any yet but I have a feeling he's about to get in the mud with the rest of them after this.

It's not just here, but 100% agree. I do NOT like Ray and it's because I have dealt with people like him before. He's self destructive and he WILL take other people down with him.

Everyone has been going on about how meeeean everyone is to Ray but this dude has not lifted one finger to help with the hostel, gets drunk at any and every opportunity which forces his friends to then find a way to get him home (and this is a regular occurrence), was awful to a dude he didn't even know from moment one simply because his crush liked him, and used another dude over and over and over despite dude asking him repeatedly not to (and he's gonna keep on next ep too).

Like has anyone stopped to think his friends are just fed up with trying? He's been doing this for at least two years with all of them, maybe more. And Sand ain't gonna save him either - he might have his own complexes around wanting to play hero but it's not gonna work and he's gonna wind up damaged and disillusioned but hopefully still mostly together. And Ray will just go back to Mew or move on to the next one because until he helps himself he can only be a user.

All of these people are 22, but Ray is the only one who gets any leeway from people and it is tiring.

1. YES he was and I loved it. I have no clue why he likes Ray tbh, the show hasn't done a decent job establishing that for me. My guess is you're right - he's primed to need to take care of people because that's how he knows to love. I'm starting to wonder if the ex was a drinker, too.

Hard disagree. It was to hurt Sand. He is the one continually reducing their relationship to money, whether it be the friendship or...anything else. It's even more hurtful when the one thing Sand *has* been clear about with him is that he doesn't want to be bought.

Lol I was never a shipper. I've been saying it's all gonna end in disaster and probably RayMew since like, day 1.

ETA Not that I like RayMew either, mind. Hate that dynamic, sorry! I am a total weirdo and ship SandTop and SandMew more than anything else, with little sprinklings of the others in between.
