I think that her decision in the drama makes perfect sense as well. I don't even see she being in love with ZXW…
I agree that she has the right to choose who she wants to be with or what kind of life she wants to live. I'm trying to explain why she's rejecting him, because in the drama they took away those reasons so everyone is feeling sorry for him and not understanding from her POV.
I do think she likes him because in the novel, she said it. But she loves herself and her family above all so that's how she made her decisions.
Ok, ZXW fans need to calm down and stop wishing death on HQ.
In the novel, ZXW was a king and all those women you see in the drama were his concubines. HQ was a modern woman who travelled back in time. If you were her, would you marry a guy like that? I wouldn't. If I were HQ, I would make the same decision. I would not marry someone with three thousand concubines and who could not, would not put me first. Also, HQ had a lot of doubts about whether his feelings will change in the future when he had so many women at his beck and call. HQ couldn't even accept ZYL with MY, so what makes you think she would accept ZXW like that?
The problem with this drama is that he's no longer a king BUT it is still following the novel to the T. So you just see a devoted SINGLE guy and a girl who's refusing to accept him. I don't know why they're doing this, probably because they want to put give a happy ending to HQ and ZXW but HQ's decision in the novel made perfect sense to me.
Should the other FL scare the FL’s face too based on this logic (since she ruined her family)?
i mean, she could but she chose to bring down the entire Hua family instead. that's what HQ wanted to do to Meng but since she couldn't, she scarred her face. which do you think is a worser punishment?
she'll prob end up with the lord, since all of the obstacles they had in the novel is removed in the drama. 1) he's not a king, he doesn't have any concubines so he is allowed to leave and live the free life that HQ wanted 2) HQ doesn't have anyone else--no HRZ, no TQ, no family
fyi, there are minor differences between novel & drama but not anything that is significant. the only major differences are that this is the real HQ and appears to be a dream so don't blame YZ for ZXW's actions in ep24, he's just following the novel to the T. in the novel, after HQ left, he also sent someone else to spy on/protect her until HRZ came. the spy would send a letter detailing her life every month to him for 2 years. so yeah, this is just how ZXW rolls.
You are very well informed concerning what goes on with those two in China. Amazing!
yang mi doesn't have good scripts either. compared with zhao liying, her picks have been really questionable. dilraba was the only supporting who became popular from 3l3w. but yes, jaywalk is seriously crap, all they wanna do is force their actors, namely yang mi and dilraba, to promote their own produced dramas rather than letting them go out to get good scripts from other companies. dilraba only started taking non-jaywalk dramas after backlash from golden eagle.
it's important because although it is a fictional story, there are real historical events and people as the background.
it is. that's one of the extreme examples, where time traveling was banned from there on. parents do have the responsibility, but govt also takes on the responsibility as well, doesn't have to be one or the other. anyways, it was a nice convo!
