I love the drama soooooo much! The things I like about it:
1. I got to see another power couple (after General and I). Both are very intelligent and scheming even though they pretended that they are not in the early episodes. They are a perfect couple. Just like what Grand Madam Gu said, while one defends, one attacks.
2. The chemistry is on point. (I didn't even know that William and Zanilia were married when I first started watching it. Discovered it around 30+ episodes). They also sang the ending song. It was also a great coincidence that they had a son in this drama and Zanilia has just given birth to a son in real life.
3. The guy exerts great effort just to get the girl. He fought battles. He schemed a lot. Nevertheless, he revealed it all to Ming Lan before their marriage, allowing them to have a clean start. He also always comes to her rescue even during their childhood days.
4. How the love of the leads developed. It isn't like other dramas where the leads fell in love at first sight. In fact, Ming Lan called him Second Uncle(eventually, Husband and Second darling. So funny whenever he asks Ming Lan to change the way she calls him) and Tingye also witnessed the affection between Ming Lan and Yuan Rou. I love how there were no major conflicts between the couple and how they slowly built trust and love over time.
5. The comedy. There were a lot of funny parts like when Changbai tells his parents that Second Gu wanted to marry a daughter from their household, Tingye ruining his wife's makeup, Tingye laughing hard when his wife started feeling jealous.
6. Everybody got the ending that they deserve. I like how the 3rd Sheng brother turned over a new leaf and how the 3rd Gu brother didn't become evil like his mother. I also love the interaction between the Sheng siblings - Changbai as a good brother of Ming Lan and good friend of Tingye as well as the love between Ming Lan, Rulan and Hualan. The relationship between Ming Lan amd her father also got better. I'm happy that Yuan Rou met a decent wife at last. Shitou and Xiaotao also ended up together. It's also the first time for me to watch a drama where the Emperor is actually a good one. Yay! On the other hand, maybe I'm just greedy but I was hoping to see the Gu family of 4 together - Tingye, Ming Lan, Rong'er and Tuan'er.
Everyone did a very good job in acting their roles. While others are saying that the first part was a bit slow paced, I didn't feel that way.
This is also the longest drama that I have watched with 73 episodes but I never once felt that it was too long. In fact, I highly anticipated it to the point where I watched it raw while waiting for its episodes to be subbed. It was also the first time that I followed a forum dedicated to a drama.
P. S. How come Zanilia's character always loves to eat(Shan Shan loves to eat). She's lucky to end up with someone who feeds her well and loves seeing her eat well. In here, Tingye even said that he would guard outside holding a sword and that even if the sky collapses, he will let his wife eat a meal safe and quietly. XD
"Where's the kiss?" *in Samaru's voice* Nevertheless, the ending was cute. On the other hand, no matter how many jmovies/dramas I watched, sometimes, I still can't get used to the female lead's exaggerated acting. I just wish they tone it down a little but but I guess, can't help it if they're really meant to be that way. Also, the female lead here looks so pretty with that short hair and funny how I see Kim Bok Joo in her friend.
This was actually a good drama but I wanted to see more in the end. I wanted to see what Yoo Seul's reaction would be after knowing that her partner was Jin Mok and after knowing that her mother was there. I also wanted to see her and Cha Sik's performance even if it was not at that stage. After all, it was mentioned many times that he wanted to perform together with her. Also, what happened to Cha Sik? Did he still pursue playing the piano? I think Jin Mok's ending was the most complete.
On the other hand, I was so happy to see some full body shots of them playing the piano. I watched so many dramas where they show either only the face or the hand. I also watched dramas where their hands look awkward and uncomfortable. For me, it affects how I see them in their role and in this one, I think the actors did a pretty good job. Also, I love seeing people banging the piano and playing all those wonderful notes.
Thumbs up to both actors especially Joon for their great acting.
I laughed like crazy in the beginning, cried a river towards then end and had a smile on my face when it ended. I thought that it would just be comedy. Didn't expect that I'll have tears in my eyes while watching it. Good thing, I watched this when everyone else in the house were already sleeping.
It had gotten my interest from the first minute down to the last..not a single boring moment for me. I wish to see more drama specials like this one.
This drama has the right amount of comedy, romance and drama. The parodies were funny and cringy at the same time. Tears formed in my eyes towards the end but not because it was sad....it was bittersweet. I actually think that the ending fits the drama perfectly.
p.s. I read an article about the main actor before but didn't care much since I'm not actually a fan(don't know him much) but I can say that after watching this, he has so much potential as an actor. Sadly, we cannot erase the fact that he did such a thing. I just hope he repents and come back as a better person.
Came across this movie on YT and decided to gave it a try. I watched the first 15 minutes but it didn't make me feel anything. I skipped to the middle and then the end. I don't know if its just me but I thought it was bland. Maybe its just not my cup of tea cause there are many people who enjoyed it
Haru is such an adorable character. Who wouldn't fall for him? I would like to commend Suda Masaki for playing the role well.
P.S. I don't read novels/manga prior to watching any movie/drama and I think it is the reason why I get to enjoy watching them more but I do remember watching the anime version during my childhood days.
What a funny crazy ride. The casting is perfect from the mainn leads to the side characters. I actually started to watch this drama cause I'm a fan of Yoo Ri since Jang Bori is here and I also found Jong Hyuk in the cast. I love how Yoo Ri can potray both villain and funny roles. I haven't watched any drama of Ji Won but in here, I became her fan.
What I like about this drama is that you won't have an idea on what craziness the two Boms will do in the upcoming episodes and so, you can just simply enjoy the ride.
On the other hand, how I wish Hyung Seok confessed his feelings for Bo Mi. I mean, it was very obvious that he has fallen for her, especially when he tried to stop Bo Mi's kissing scene in Bom's body. Haha. I also wish that Jong Hyuk and Yoo Ri will work again on a romcom. They look good together. Also, Yoo Ri always have a good chemistry with whomever she is paired up with.
What's the other drama? Are they the main leads as well?
But Chris Wu is the main lead there, right? Or did Ben Wu end up with Ivy Shao in the drama? I'm asking cause I want to see them as leads together in a drama.
This drama is so cute, sweet and youthful. Guo Fiction fit the idol role(don't know it he's an idol in real life. Haha) By the way, what's with 1997? So many handsome/cute actors were born in 1997. Considering that he has not been in many dramas, I think he did a good job acting here.
Si Tu Feng is really such a sweet boyfriend. I also like the side stories and the fact that it actually doesn't have really hateable characters.
That scene in the end with the baby was really unexpectedly cute. I thought it was real until they revealed that it was only a scene in her comics. Anyways, they are still too young to have their own child. XD
This drama has so many scenes where you can relate - finding our purpose in life, finding a job, the pressure of entering the workforce, misunderstandings between friends and falling in love and that's why I like it.
I do think that they made a great choice with the cast. They fit perfectly with their role and I can't imagine other actors/actresses playing them.
Ben Wu and Ivy Shao really look great together. They seem like a real couple. How I just wish that they show us more of their time being a couple like how they become more mature over time. I really like Wuxian's attitude in the end when he was pursuing YuanYuan again. He was like "let's see how long you can pretend that you only see me as your brother" and his strategy was a succcess. On the other hand, it has been quite a while since I encountered a very pitiful character like Zi Cheng that I wish he wouldn't die in the end but nevertheless, his death helped his friends have more courage to pursue their happiness before its too late.
I also love how they wrapped up everything in the end. It didn't feel rushed. Also, I love it very much when Ben Wu's song plays in the background. To be honest, I downloaded the first 2 episodes of this drama months back but decided to watch it once the subs are complete. Then over time, I forgot about it until I browsed my computer to look for dramas that I can delete so I'll have space for new ones. I was about to delete it since I haven't watched it yet and I already forgot what it's all about when I played the first episode and Ben Wu's song started playing. So, it was actually the song that led me to watching it but I don't regret watching it.
I really love this drama. I tend to drop taiwanese dramas halfway because it becomes boring and draggy but in this drama, I didn't feel that way. However, there was I time when I felt irritated because it took Li Zheng a very very long time to confess his feelings. At first, he didn't realize that he already loves her then he considers the promise he made to her dad to be together only after entering college but when they are already college students, he still didn't confess to her because he is afraid of losing her. Also, whenever someone gets close to her, he always takes put the best friend card. Nevertheless, I am glad that there were subtle sweet scenes in between and I can still see how he cares for her. He loves her a lot(I know that she feels the same way) and is very protective of her to the point that he sometimes look quite scary(I'm talking about how he dealt with Da Mao).
I also love everyone here. I was happy that Ru Ping didn't became bad cause at first, she looked like someone who would stab her bestfriend's back and try to steal her man at least to me. Haha. Of course, I can't forget Jin Li and Angelina. I really love both characters a lot. They are both such good friends who loves others without expecting others to love them back. I really think that their characters match a lot.
As for the OST, I actually think it was one of the reasons why I loved this drama more. I really like the song Close To You even from before and I think it suits the scenes here very well. I also like the version of the song here(already downloaded it on my phone).
The ending for me was also satisfying. How I wish it was their child instead of her little sister. Haha. I laughed so hard at the Do Re Mi Fa So La scene of Yu Bin, Jin Li and Li Zheng. They have become close brothers. I also love the evolution of Li Zheng's hair. XD I was wondering why the male lead looks familiar and then later got to know that he is An Nuo from They Kiss Again.
Am I the only one who wants this drama to have a Season 2? I will really miss the 3 couples of this drama. I hope that Prince Chiu and Joanne Tseng work on a drama again cause they look good together.
After watching this drama, I suddenly miss my school friends. It definitely brings back the feels.
This is the kind of drama that could either be a yay or a meh for you. If you like simple dramas with not much complications, then give it a go. However, if you are looking for something intense, then you might just skip this one. I do admit that this have episodes especially in the 2nd half that I find bland. I did fastforwarded some or many scenes. Nevertheless, it gave me enough entertainment while I was waiting for the new episodes of that dramas that I was watching. I do hope that the writers gave Ha In a happy ending too. I mean, after he left, they didn't show us how he was doing. Also, am I the only one who wanted to see more of O Dol and O Sol's bestfriend? I find them cute and I would like to see them together again as a couple in a drama. Overall, it was a fluffy and cute drama.
I don't care what other people say cause I love this drama. I enjoyed watching it from start to finish.
Surely, there were some disappointing things like people grieving over Wang Shik's death like they could have shown at least flashbacks but he still died a hero and I think it was a good ending for his character instead of him dying because of the bullet in his brain. As soon as news of CJH's conflicting schedule was released, I already knew that they would kill his character so it was not a surprise to me anymore. Also, honestly, I felt more attachment to the Emperor(probably because he has more story than NWS).
I also sensed in the early episodes(when the Emperor started to somehow change himself) that there is a possibility that his character would die but I still hoped that the writer would just sentence him to prison where he would be given a chance to change himself completely and as NWS's character was already dead, I had hoped that he and Sunny would have another chance at love. After all, I felt that Sunny still loves Hyuk, especially when she cried over his death. Who knows, he may be a better husband if he lives like a normal person and after serving in prison to atone for his sins. Nevertheless, his death was worth it. There is nothing worse than a mother killing her son with her own hands. I was also glad that both Hyuk and Yura were given the chance to redeem themselves. More importantly, the Empress Dowager will rot in prison and get executed in the end.
On the other hand, I hope Jang Nara and Shin Sung Rok will play as a couple again in a drama and I hope SSR's character is no longer a psycho. They really have a great chemistry.
This was aired on tv soooooo many years ago but wasn't able to watch it since as far as I can remember, it was aired late at night. It was so popular then that everyone has been talking about it, especially its ending. This means that I already know the ending prior to watching it. Now, in 2019, I don't know why but this drama came across to my mind.
Well, it was surely a crazy ride that I enjoyed a lot. However, am I the only one who feels frustrated with the characters going back and forth to the point that even when Soo Jung said that she loves Jae Min just when she was about to take her last breath, I didn't believe her much. Maybe its because I feel that they showed us that Jae Min loves her more than she loves him. I mean, he was willing to give up everything for her while she, despite claiming that she loves him, still slept with In Wook.
As for the acting, I'll give everyone a 10, especially Jo In Sung. I feel the pain he feels when he asks Soo Jung to not leave him and whenever he sees her with In Wook.
As for the ending, I couldn't imagine a more fitting ending than what it has shown us. Their relationship is just so messed that it would be really difficult to untangle them. As they all say, too much love will kill you.
While others are saying that Young Joo should have died too, I'm just glad that at least one of them remains alive and still has a chance for happiness. Surely, you can't help but hate her character but somehow, I pity her too although it was her choice to be in that miserable state. On the other hand, I pity In Wook's mom a lot. She loves his son so much. It would surely be difficult for her to accept what happened to her son and now, she's left all alone.
It's intro song still lingers in my ears. It's the drama that introduced me to Ethan and Leon Jay. I remember…
I remember watching it when I was still in middle school and now, as I have run out of good dramas to watch, I have decided to rewatch some old dramas and this one was one of my choice. I enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed watching it years before. I admit that I have skipped some scenes this time(maybe because I have already watched it, so I didn't mind missing some things this time).
What I like about this drama apart from the cute, funny and sweet scenes and the chemistry between the two leads is that the villains are not that bad. They still do have a conscience(compared to the villains that I watched in other dramas). Also, Owen is just the best friend ever. He is the kind of friend that everyone wishes to have.
To sum it up, it would be safe to say that everyone is a fool in love in this drama and I was a fool to fall in love with this drama despite its flaws.
I was kinda hesitant to watch this at first due to comments saying that they hated the female lead but I think that she is not really that hateable(maybe its because I have watched many dramas with more hateable characters. Haha). Unlike other web dramas I have watched, I somehow liked it.
At first, I thought that she broke up with him because of his looks and the fact that he keeps feeding her expired foods but I'm glad that its not the case. On the other hand, although In Sung is a kind boyfriend, I can't help but think that Gong Mu can be an ideal boyfriend(maybe its just for me. Haha). I was looking for dramas where he played as main lead but why does it all have to be 100+ episodes?
I also like that they didn't let In Sung take the exam before taking the pill. That way, him.passing the exam in the future will all be due to his efforts and hardwork...he'll be more proud of himself. I'm also glad that at the end, they are all happy with their life.
Yay! This is also the longest drama that I have watched with 73 episodes but I never once felt that it was too long. In fact, I highly anticipated it to the point where I watched it raw while waiting for its episodes to be subbed. It was also the first time that I followed a forum dedicated to a drama.

I also love the OST and the chemistry. How I wish the ending was longer. I wanted to see more of them as a couple.
Anyways, can anyone suggest other dramas/mini dramas/drama specials like this one? I'd like to watch more friendship to love stories.
P.S. I don't read novels/manga prior to watching any movie/drama and I think it is the reason why I get to enjoy watching them more but I do remember watching the anime version during my childhood days.
