I watched this drama last year and it's still one of my favorites. I love how positive this show is. Emotionally mature main couple, supportive friendships, a romantic relationship that brought out the couple's best version of themselves especially in terms of career, an FL who knew how to deal with toxic, jealous colleagues in the workplace and rose the corporate ladder without sacrificing her working relationships, etc. Sure Gu Won fell in love with Sa Rang because of her pretty smile. But he fell harder and stayed loyal to her because of her great character. In fact, he changed himself for the better too. He became a much better boss and head of the company, fair and compassionate, because of her influence. I just love it so much.
He's a VERY green flag. He's just like that in the beginning due to his mommy issues but he's a very supportive partner to Sa Rang especially when she decided to pursue a career path on her own. King the Land has one of the most emotionally mature couples I've seen in a Kdrama.
I couldn't have agreed more with what you wrote. I started this while it was airing but put it on hold. Thought…
The miscarriage issue was completely forgotten in the end. I didn't like how 'makjang' it got that the realistic journey towards marital healing and reconciliation (e.g. open discussion about their issues especially pertaining to Hong family's interference and control over the main couple, couple's therapy, processing of grief, etc) was swept under the rug in favor of outrageous yet overused plot devices to move the story along. The only things I loved were Soo Cheol and Da Hye's arc and the relationship between the in-laws in the latter half. You should still finish QoT though and decide for yourself. This is just my opinion. The writing could have been better and more developed.

Yeah, the drama lost its focus and became a hodge podge of recycled Kdrama tropes. I really disliked that the writer went with the obsessed stalker ex (sort of) bf of Hae In, and the takeover of the Queens Group by the Chairman's scheming domestic partner. We have had enough of those. Ex's are ex's for a reason. So in order for two ex's to get back together and succeed in their second try, crucial issues need to be worked through between them to prevent a repeat of their past. The miscarriage was a very crucial issue they needed to overcome because it created the initial crack in their marriage. The show didn't seem to get around that idea despite marketing this drama as such in their premise. It was a waste of potentially great writing, which makes me a bit sad because I loved CLOY so much. Sigh.
The writer twisted Eunsung's love story and mummy issues, so the main focus was sidelined which annoyed most watchers…
Yes. The villains had too unnecessary screentime. I disliked that the main catalyst for the couple's reconciliation was due to the ridiculousness of the antagonists and not the sincere effort of the main couple to work out their deep-seated issues to heal and salvage their marriage.
Finally completed Queen of Tears. It was an okay drama, just enough to watch once. I looked forward to watching it because I was curious about how the main leads will deal with their underlying issues that made their marriage crumble in the first place but these were just glossed over. The plot revolved around the stalker guy and his greedy psycho mother. I was disappointed that it went to that usual route. Like, really? Crash Landing On You is and always will be superior and more endearing to me. I can rewatch it multiple times. Once is enough for Queen of Tears. It was dragging and I had to push through to the end. I honestly wanted to see Hae In and Hyun Woo discuss their deep-seated grief from the loss of their first child, their resentment towards each other which was a consequence of the influence and toxicity of Hae In's family, their lack of communication, etc., I wanted the drama to be REAL in a sense when it came to marital problems and reconciliation. Their problems are so far-fetched and I grew tired of watching recycled Kdrama formulas e.g. obsessed second lead, amnesia, power struggle among members of a chaebol family, childhood encounters, etc. Like, CAN YOU PLEASE FOCUS ON THE COUPLE AND THEIR MARITAL WOUNDS. Ji Won's acting was also very wooden and she didn't have much chemistry with Soo Hyun. They appeared stiff together. My favorite story, however, was Hae In's younger brother's arc and his deep love for his wife and her child. He was such an amazing and memorable character.
This Kdrama totally deserves the Baeksang awards especially Daesang! Another gem from South Korea. I love the superhero genre (Avengers Endgame is my most favorite), and Moving lived up to my high expectations. I also loved Uncanny Counter Season 1, but Moving is SO MUCH BETTER.
I absolutely love love LOVE this drama. 9.5/10! š„ I would have wanted Kim Doo Sikās time and departure from the prison in North Korea to be elaborated more. And what is up with that bullied girl? Was she the NISā directorās boss?? I loved the parentsā backstories and the story about the teenagers. My only gripe was that the narrative should have pursued the route of the gifted fighting with the CIA and the SKās NIS. Why did it suddenly shift to the North Koreanās? I want the gifted fighting against and ultimately destroying the NIS and CIA.
I am super duper excited for Season 2 ā¤ļøšš»š
This drama seem to be very popular. I watched like 5 or 6ep, but dropped it. I didn't feel the storyline or the…
You should finish it, itās truly beautiful and heart warming. The aspect of the story which I loved as much as the romance was the friendship between Se Ri and the North Korean soldiers and old ladies. Pretty much made me so emotional. Itās worth the hype. One of my top 5 Kdramas of all time.
Actually if Ha na and do hwi get together it's not good because now she focus her attention to saving him and…
Between Mun and Do Hwi, I prefer the latter with Ha Na because he genuinely loves her and is willing to put himself in danger to protect her. They have some history there and heās a pure soul. Nevertheless I donāt have a problem with her being single either. I never considered Uncanny Counter as a romance centric Kdrama. Iām totally okay with the Counters treating each other like family. Thatās what I loved about them in Season 1.
I love this series, but seriously the encounters are no match to evil ones, Su Mun is always carrying the fight,…
I agree. I love this drama but sometimes I wished that Mun wouldnāt be too powerful that other counters would be pretty useless without him. It reminds me of Superman in Justice League.
