The husband planned todivorce without the wife knowing. And the reason for the divorce is the same as his; Differences in personality(성격 자). The wife status is really established and has more to lose. Didn’t he feel familiar during script reading? One of his lines was “People will immediately think she has a terrible personality, no?” Oh, I see so much similarities. I wouldn’t have the audacity
The start is very promising but I feel like the screen-writing kinda get all over the place at some point. I couldn’t focus on the romance part because of the mystery about the past lol Still a good drama, though.
I’ll start by stating that I’m a huge fan of Bong-soon(rewatched it countless of times) I’d say keep in mind that this is a spin-off, not a sequel. The two ladies are just distant relative. That’s how I justify the difference in the power they have in this drama. And let’s be real, if Nam-soon power is the exact same as Bong-soon, it’d be boring as hell! They made it clear that Nam-soon’s superpower is over-exaggerated. And that’s a smart choice because when I see the CGI I was like oh it looks fake, but got reminded, of course it’s fake! and was able to enjoy it further. While Bong-soon’s story is more of a romance-with-a-bit-of-hero-stuff, Nam-soon’s is a hero-stuff-with-a-bit-of-romance, well, except the grandma storyline… For me, a romcom lover, I wish we could see the main couple a bit more. I’m pretty sure we got more romcom scene of the grandma than the main couple LOL So their scene in the last ep. was kinda awkward to me, but it was cute, nontheless. The ending kinda indicates part two?? I’m pretty sure it’s Netflix’s doing again. Why don’t end it properly and don’t keep us waiting????
I’m currently on ep3 and I think ep1-2 of ss2 should have been included in the ss1 and end like that. Or consider the two eps as special eps and end… Idk what’s gonna happen next but my gut feeling is telling me I’m not gonna like what’s coming The princess and the royal physician thing is unnecessary. It just make this drama just like many others. Not gonna drop it, though. I’m stubborn I have to finish it
The Gyesu family dynamic is precious. The “crazy” grandma, the boy with, seemingly, ASD. Everyone has their own specialty and when they unite, they’re strong.
I like that it’s light-hearted and easy to watch. Unlike most Saeguk it doesn’t has so much politics aspect, which I DO enjoy, but sometimes I just want a period drama that’s easy to watch
you can check this thread if you don't want to spend 24 hours watching season 1.https://twitter.com/ParkMinGyeong/status/1696205473521807524?t=HPX8dCxaQiMVIS8Xaa4Lpw&s=19
Guys, do I need to watch the previous seasons? I saw snippets of LJG’s acting from his agency’s vid and his acting is amazing. I wanna watch it for LJG but I don’t feel like spending that much time on the ones he’s not starred in. Will summary in Youtube suffice?
I didn’t expect much before watching, so I’m not disappointed. It’s average rom-com with superpower and crime stuff sprinkled through out.
I have to say this, tho, there’re excessive amount of annoying characters… Hwang Min Hyun is perfect for his role. I know I’m stereotyping people’s appearance, but he looks like those who sucks at lying and is quite straight-forward and pure idk why lol. All in all, I like his character and wish there really were people like this irl And my man Seo Ji Hoon is second ML AGAIN *face palms* WHY!! Yun Ji On’s acting is superb as always. I just noticed that this is the second time he’s playing a gay character, right?
Still pissed at Netflix for cutting it down to 9 eps. It doesn’t do any good for the drama-ending it with a cliffhanger and then the hype dies down during each season. They need to stop with this stupid business plan
I think his acting is great for a newcomer and find him attractive(his side profile is unreal). I wondered why he doesn’t star in a new project, and after snooping about, it seems like he’s got into a scandal in which he dumped his trash in front of his house causing trouble to the neighbours… And he hasn’t been active both as a singer and an actor ever since. What a waste of talent.
I cried a river watching the original. I kinda have a high hope for this, especially because I like Bae Hyun Sung since his debut and also Hwang In Yeop
We watched this in my film study class. I didn’t cried(because I hardly do& I had to focus on the details lol) but those heart-breaking scences sure made me emotional. It’s so sad seeing characters apologize because of the survivor’s guilt. No one wants this to happen after all. And if you know anything about Chinese culture, it’s even more heart-breaking.
It hits home when I realize this was based on real event(the earthquake) and SO MANY lives were lost. I’m kinda meh with CCP propaganda, so I agree with the previous comment. But, tbh, I can’t deny that the existence of the CCP itself saved many lives, so props for that.
