Someone lower in the comments who read the book said he is starting to have real feelings for Nubsib and now he is seeing this lying manipulating side of Nubsib (that we as the views know exist, but Gene doesnt)and he's starting to second guess whether Nubsib ACTUALLY has feelings for him or if it was just all a trick/lie. We knew Gene is already so insecure and inside his head and finds it hard to believe Nubsib actually likes him in the first place. I guess it didnt feel that out of character for me... although that is NOT how I would react lol

I'm so confused about the subtitles. I didnt find them that bad?? Typos, but I didnt notice any missing.. AM I MISSING SOMETHING!? lol

Titles like Auntie and Uncle are common in a LOT of country and have nothing to do with blood relation. I didnt have an issue with the subs? There were typos, but I completely understood everything???

I loved it! So you just have to make up your own mind about it I guess.

I'm getting confused why people aren't picking up on that too. I get everyone sees things differently, but I even though I wouldn't have reacted that why.. I feel like it wasn't so weird and overreaching.

Also a LOT of countries use those types of titles and it never read as related at all to me!

I think there is more to Gene's background.. it felt like he's been tricked/manipulated in the past and it's completely coloring this situation. I also didnt have an issue with the silence.. Nubsib not that confident anymore and seeing that Gene is SO inside of his head and he wouldn't hear what Nubsib has to say anyways (it felt like Nubsib also knew that right now it wouldn't really matter what he said b/c gene wouldn't listen)

I think they will talk once they both breathe and calm down. I actually love the pacing of this show, but obviously just my opinion.

I agree above with Nubsib starting to feel not so confident anymore. And in that silence Gene seemed so inside of his head and I don't think he would listen to anything Nubsib had to say anyways and I think Nubsib felt that too... I think they will talk once they both calm down. That's my take at least.

I actually really like the pacing of this show (some people find it too slow) and I liked this episode too. I felt like Nubsib didnt trying to explain right away b/c he knew Gene was too upset and wouldn't really listen... Gene was almost so inside of his own head at the point. That's just how I see it though.

Yeah I saw it was pan/bi too.. since she said I just want to be with someone who makes me feel good... seems like gender isn't the driving force for her. I was kinda excited when she said that though.. there aren't a lot of pan/bi characters (well I mean that are more or less stated) in bls.

At first I was like Why are you reacting like this?! But then it started to feel like he was tricked/manipulated in the past and this situation is reminding him of that. The fear and insecurity that it was all a trick for some reason.

It almost feels like Gene has been tricked/manipulated in the past and it's bubbling up with Nubsib. Because I would want to know what Nubsib had to say personally.. but maybe he was taken advantage before and it's coloring this situation and he doesn't know how to get out of the fear that he is being used in some way.

I should probably say I wasn't saying he had social anxiety.. I do personally, but he does seem to have some type of anxiety (not specifically social) at least to me. Yeah I agree.. he isnt very abrasive with others.. it seems mostly focused on Nubsib.

Yeah I wouldn't react the way he did this episode.. he was almost heartbroken.. but in a way that it feels like he's been lied to/tricked and manipulated in the past.

I find Gene and Nubsib both likable characters, but for sure not perfect.

But they didnt mention him being rude.. they said girlish and weak which is what I was responding to.

I don't really find him that rude.. I find him more blunt (and insecure), which of course can be taken as rude depending on the person. I think that trait comes from being uncomfortable which everyone responds completely different to.

There are many people who live in tolerant urban area who STILL have internalized homophobia b/c in society generally speaking still has "Man should do/be this".. which as the story progresses seems like he is slowly coming to terms with his feelings and confusion. I see it as his character development since its all internalized.

He wrote ONE bl story and that was because he was pressured to.. and he's being pressured to write another. So I don't think it's super weird for him to not come to terms with his own feelings and thoughts.

I do that same thing. VPN and then (I'm a big rewatcher in general) I rewatch on the official YouTube.

I think the ch3plus airs at 22:58 (which is 10:58pm Thai time) and then wetv airs at 00:15 (12:15am Thai time).

Ohhh that would be interesting!! I thought he just really wanted his ship to be successful so that he could make money to live his dream of culinary school.
