It's so crazy because I read a comment saying that the international fans and the Taiwanese and Chinese fans are reacting completely different! The Taiwanese and Chinese fans think it was hot and aren't bothered and the international fans are like what?! are you kidding... So that's interesting..

yeah I agree with this.. Shi De is just not connecting it in his brain. I think they might talk about his half brother and then realize that the girl (whom he is like wtf.. what girl.. I'm so confused) that everyone keeps mentioning is actually his step sister and be like whoa whoa whoa wait.

As someone who was really enjoying it.. that was a major issue for me too. I know I can personally overlook things in fiction that I would NEVER overlook in real life. My worry is if consent keeps getting treated this way... it will condition people more and more to think that type of behavior is okay or excusable...

I don't think people are upset there is someone who enjoys bls as a character.. it's "who's the top and who's the bottom" (which I actually find annoying with people obsess about who's the top and bottom in fiction.. because what? it's always stereotypes and the bottom is always the weak feminine character.. hate that), let me take weird invasive photos and keep them on my phone.. it just too extreme for someone to do to real life people. So it just pushes the negative stereotype that women who like bl are out of touch with reality and fetishize gay relationships.

And I'm saying this as someone who is enjoying the show.

The consent issue really kinda made me conflicted. I was really enjoying this show (and I won't drop it, but I mean I'm not gonna blame people who do). Because it's fiction we get to actually see into people's minds (we can analyze that Xing Si never seemed to push Yong Jie away until he realizes he's relishing the touch too much etc) , but in real life what happened would be completely 100 percent wrong... we dont have that ability in real life to see into people's minds. It just worries me because if the media keeps portraying consent that way it will continue to condition people to think this type of behavior isn't that bad and apply that to real world situations.

I'm in two minds now. I've been really enjoying it, but the major consent issue kinda killed my enjoyment. I know I personally can separate something happening in fiction and getting past some issues and reality where it would be COMPLETELY insanely unforgivable. But at the same time if people only see consent treated this way it can slightly condition them to see it that way in real life... which kinda worries me (not just in bls but in straight media too).

We might get lucky and Copy A Bangkok might put it on their YouTube like they did with Never Eat Alone.

I mostly wanted to watch this for Goto Yutaro (loved him in Cherry Magic). It actually pretty cute and funny. I watched it with a vpn on wetv.

He didnt really think Shu Yi would like him in the first season too. He spent those years trying to get and hold his attention never believing Shu Yi would ever look at him that way. So it wasn't some sudden him not seeing himself as worthy... there was a bit of that feeling in the first season. So his feeling of not truly believing that they would be in a relationship was happening in season 1. You have to apply tv drama logic here.. not real world logic. Those feelings of insecurity though are very realistic to me. Well I guess we just completely disagree and that's fine.

He said that it took him 10 years to realize who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and Shu Yi knew from the beginning.. and that it felt like it was Shu Yi getting swept away by emotion and atmosphere. Shi De didnt think he was good enough for Shu Yi at the end of the day. Shu Yi father also played up his fears about him not being good enough by mentioning Shu Yi's relative/shareholders...

He agreed because he thought they were over (he said Shu Yi 's father conversation mentioned all the reasons he himself imagined Shu Yi breaking up with him)and that he hoped in that time he would be able to make himself someone who could stand beside Shu Yi. His insecurities play a role again when he said and maybe Shu Yi would find someone in that time that was better than him.

I'm loving it. I mean yeah I see this more as Part 1 and Part 2. But I'm loving both parts so I'm up for another season.

I like to watch a few Thai YouTube channels that react to shows. And they all laughed at those moments and went OoooOO and the Eat Me.. they all laughed and said "Eat Me" in English. So Yeah I think Nubsib is using his words very smartly lol

Well I mean he pretty much explained why he agreed.. and it had a lot to do with his own insecurities. Was it stupid... I mean yeah, but I don't think he truly TRULY realized or believed how much Shu Yi actually loved him.

My guess is he think Yu Zhen Xuan is only attached to him (I mean come in the dude is obviously not attached, but in love) and also Pei Shou Yi has some emotional issues too... I don't think he likes how these type of strong emotions feel and it trying to push them away with all of his might.

I don't think so. It got to the point where they were both manipulated which was a big reason for the separation (and their own insecurities). They both are still completely in love with each other.. it was at the point "Do I hold on to this anger or move on together". It's only 6 episodes... unless you want them to only resolve in the very last episode. I'd rather they decide to fight together and we get to see them as a couple again then to see them drag out the anger and hatred.

She isn't literally Gene's Aunt... it's like a title that is given.. similar to P' Gene etc but Phi doesn't actually mean they are blood related brothers/sisters, but a title they give. It's the same thing. There are many countries that do that. They are family friends so he calls her Aunt.

I was wondering about that too.. I wasn't sure if I was just being stupid and not fully understanding the hashtag or if it translated differently from Thai.
