I'm actually pretty intrigued by him and his story. I don't hate him or really find him annoying. I'm glad the "villain" isn't just some one dimensional character solely created to separate the main couple. It feels like they are taking that trope and will maybe surprise us with how it turns out. I'm kinda here for it myself.

I think Mork is like a family or childhood friend of the siblings.. there is that scene when they are acting and Nubsib is like "Ohhh you're secretly in love with him" or something to Mork (during the scene within a scene haha) I think that's not just Mork's character in Bad Engineer.. I think he does actually have a secret crush on Aoey in the story.

Childhood/family friends and he already had a thing for Gene, but I guess Nubsib goes abroad or something so Gene isn't remembering him yet. I actually like this! At first Nubsib was kinda worrying me.... that he was being very suspicious, but this explanation makes it feel less sinister haha

I do have to say the step sibling thing is a huge trope in straight stuff too. I do think they should have cast a teenager instead of using the same actor since the step brother thing is already iffy with some people... I didnt find the scene sexual or romantic but I do think if they used a teenager the age gap wouldn't have look so massive.

But they didn't actually grow up together. He didn't live with them until later because he lived with his mom and not his father and step mother. And he also refused to take his fathers last name because he isn't that close to this father and step mother and never saw him as a brother. Age gap is another trope... 10 years is only HUGE when you are young, but the older you get 10 years isn't that big and as long as EVERYONE is a legal adult.

well personally I only find it problematic if they are blood related or if there is a power issue dynamic (like step parents and step children... that is different because one is in a position of power that can be exploited and abused). I guess I dont see as big of an issue if two adults get married and then their individual children become romantic. I understand you think this is very problematic, but I dont see a huge difference between family friends or childhood friends becoming romantic and stepbrothers who didn't grow up together since birth.
