OffGun have been a solid pair for many years and they have many shows with happy endings, i think at least at this point of their career, gmmtv should be brave enough to have stories where they do not end up together. Simply making the characters end up together just because the actors are a fixed pair is a disservice to the story they have been telling up to that point

why? prejudice means an opinion that is not based on actual experience. if people who watched the jpn version watch this are making comparison they are not prejudiced since they have the experience of watching both of the versions. if they only watched one (or none) and then make comparisons then u could call prejudice

dating in korea seems fun (the honeymoon phase at least)

i would say the basic story remains the same but there is a lot of changes in their environment and situations

khol took everything that jira is a spat on it. even if we ignore the fact that he didn't ask for consent, he took jira's work-his creativity and time, fed it to a machine, made a machine learn his facial expressions and thoughts essentially feeding jira into a system to create a version of him that creates something he loves to do, art. jira might not love/respect himself but he surely respects and loves art and we have seen it throughout the series. he loves art, whether its paintings, modeling or statues. he will not suddenly be okay with khol's system and ai and be forgiving. and khol is not going to change so quickly either. he had money troubles when he was younger so it turned him into a money hungry capitalist who pretends to not care abt who he cares. both of them can't drastically change in the last episode so there is no way we get a good ending where both of them end up together

they have to end this without a happy ending (at least relationship wise)

the uncle and nephew relationship feels so......distanced?? if thats the right word. they don't seem to be emotional connected. he literally raised him since he was a baby but i don't feel the love, especially from hangyeol's side

Han Gyeol needs to realize that Se Jin is not in the headspace to date and is not looking at things in a romantic way rn. She is focused on getting that number 1 and whatever he does will be viewed through that lens. Him doing badly on the test just so that she can get marks will not make her happy, infact it will crush her once she realizes that she was first because he gave it up. Even if he says openly that he likes her, she can view it as a tactic for him to distract her (not saying that he is someone who does that, but this is an assumption one can make while they are in a competitive field)

there are some youtube videos which do deep dives on each of the episodes, u should definitely watch them cause they point out so many more symbolisms from this show. especially that episode named tulip mania

i love viewmim, don't get me wrong, but i really like it when stories stay in the same universe and have characters from connected stories appear..... so i wish this was pipoly+someone and have milk do the cameos etc..yk keeping it in the same universe and then give enemies with benefits to viewmim or something. but hey no big deal, i will still be seated for this

he does kinda. her brother is a successful lawyer and in a scene before that the recent ep where the parents look down on her because she is not first. it seems like they moved here specifically to be no 1 and that might be an invisible pressure on her. he is not outright with his feelings for her, kind of skirting around it which is easily confusing for a teenager. in her pov he could be doing all this cause he is confident that no matter how much he helps her she still isn't good enough. he presents his help not as him showing that he likes her but in another way and that is not a clear message. i don't blame him though, its difficult to have all these feelings and be bold about it. both of them just don't know what to do at that age.

i just feel like i see it everywhere, even in no comedy shows. plus i think this has more comedy than romance so i would have liked a bit of hesitancy on both sides
