which asshole? one of the directors/writers/actors did something wrong?
But it seems that he now isn't under that woman's influence any longer and he has wisened up. Of course we should see his next work as proof, to be convinced.
As you may have seen near the end of the trailer: This content is provided by Kocowa, also on Kocowa+ blog website:…
It is coming to Viki, they have made a page and are looking for a channel manager. I didn't volunteer because it's very probable that it will require Vikipass plus and I'm in Europe.

"Justice and hidden truth trampled by great power, to regain lost life A desperate yet elegant journey of revenge between a man and a woman." (What's an elegant journey of revenge? LOL! )
Until it comes, you cannot know for sure. But since it's kocowa, it may require Viki pass Plus. Doesn't say that. And I usually cannot access Vikipass Plus content, even if I'm gold QC, because I'm in Europe.
Overreact much? "Now the only idea koreans will have of a muslim man is someone who goes to bar and drinks with…
The laws are the laws, the numbers are the numbers. Wherever the website is situated. You can do your own research if you wish, but of course there are some websites who would rather conceal the facts that don't put them in good light. It's your choice to not want to know, really.
"What he brought to the character"? You mean apart from the script? His acting, his expressions, his tone of voice?…
Ah, no, this is the director's decision, totally. And it is in line with other parts of the series, because it's a comedy, and Korean comedies sometimes go overboard with the caricature (at least too much for my taste). For example, the character of secretary Noh is much more a caricature than the prince. Even the ML, at the beginning, was a caricature. (Remember at the photoshoot, when he couldn't smile and did a smirk? Or how he cut the onions? All this was for belly laughs). The reaction of the actors when they caught FL and ML lead making out: the shrieks of horror, wasn't that caricature? I mean it's a decision of the creators of the series, not a single actor. If a single actor had decided on his own to do caricature in his acting when all the rest of the cast was serious, then surely the director would have two words with him!
On Da-eul and her useless, ungrateful, lazy husband...
We've been shown in countless dramas that a divorcée, especially with children, is damaged goods in Korea. Remember "A Gentleman's Dignity"? It made my blood boil. And in some other dramas, where the mother leaves her child in order to re-marry, because the husband says "I don't feel confident to raise somebody else's child"? And it's treated as normal by the writers (most probably also by the viewers). These infuriating stories. So many plots where the mother leaves the husband and also leaves the child behind, to be raised by a grandma or even taken to an orphanage, and often even hides the fact that she ever had him (the origin of so much mom trauma in male leads!)
The point is, after watching the actual episodes, that he was portrayed as a very decent fellow, good-natured…
I don't think all of us who like k-dramas are deaf and blind. I am a European, so a great part of Korean mentality, for instance regarding women, is extremely grating to me. For instance, the whole "divorce is shameful and considered a dirty past, which may hinder your career or your ability to have an other marriage", of which we saw two instances in episode 12. The pilot referred to her "dirty past" and I was thinking that maybe she was a bar hostess or something to pay for her sibling's surgery, or something like that. But no, he referred to the fact that she's divorced, and that's the "dirty secret" for which she also cannot be promoted and must "know her place", as her senior said. And then even Ms. Gu, the evil sister, who desperately wants to avoid getting a divorce from her husband until she secures the place of successor of the group, because apparently this would be a dark spot on her CV. So no, we are not condoning everything Korean, we find lots of things distasteful, and if you follow conversations here you must have seen it too.
Yes, but was it realistic that there wasn't a roster of the people who would be invited to speak? That the sister…
We heard she would invite her own people, but being invited is different from being a speaker. Normally there is an event written program, no? Which everyone gets to see and sometimes is even put on the wall.
