As a Muslim viewer, I feel compelled to express my deep concern over the portrayal of the Arab prince character.…
I get that, it has been said dozens of times. But my point was that he wasn't shown to be an alcoholic, on the contrary, a person who thought a full glass of wine was an exaggeration.

The point is, after watching the actual episodes, that he was portrayed as a very decent fellow, good-natured…
The prince usually wore his nation's attire, but we also saw him in a burgundy suit. We don't know how religious he is or is not, it wasn't addressed in the drama - because it wasn't relevant. But we can safely infer that he probably wasn't very religious, if he drank and partied with women, right?

kinda upset the sister hasn't been run over by a truck yet ugh
If that had happened, there would be no material for the next 4-5 episodes. I mean, the lovebirds would get married, he would get the hotel and the whole King group, and then...?

its not that deep ๐Ÿ˜…
Let's say I like my comedies to be a tad more subtle than that.

I don't think they're screaming of disgust but of exhalted surprise? (like me when I ship two characters and they…
Do people in Asia really scream like that all the time? Especially women? Those three always scream when they are together. I'm not young now, but I do remember myself at 30, at 20, even at 15. I never screamed like that, unless I was really scared! Never because of excitement or joy or surprise.

Plot does not need to equal angst and misunderstandings! Who said that?
Well, there IS conflict, with the sister. And it's bound to get worse.

It seems she has a "dirty past"?
Having been married is not exactly dirty...

You do agree that it's grossly exaggerated, don't you? I mean, I understand being surprised, even shocked, whatever (they all knew those two had something going on). But... screaming that way? Come on!

I like it but at the same time thereโ€™s definitely no plot for now . itโ€™s just watching them and their life…
Yes, the Thailand episode could have been a bit shorter. We didn't need to be shown ALL of Bangkok's tourist places.

some people want more plot, and some people like this kind of plot. but whinning about "it has no plot" until…
We do enjoy it, though. It's just that it lacks something to be just perfect, and we wish it were perfect so that we would enjoy it even more. Is that a bit more clear now?

also y'all still complaining about the lack of plot????? lol the plot here is gu won and sarang being adorable…
Usually, in good k-dramas, there's a balance between the romantic plot and the internal politics plot. Here, the "internal politics" is Gu Won changing the direction of the hotel management to one more idealistic. Oh yes, also the mother thingie, which I suppose they will remember in the last episodes. It has been sidelined completely so far. But it's too thin of a plot. Yes, granted, "What's wrong with Secretary Kim" hadn't much plot either, but it was so well-written that you didn't realize it.

Just wanted to say how I hate how little Gu Won actually works and yet his father is ready to give him the hotel…
Yes, I believe that the writers neglected this part, showing his capabilities in management. We know he got an MBA, but that's about it. We also know that he was indifferent to business but - also because of getting to know Sa Rang and other employees - he started having a purpose and a dream for the hotel. However, we haven't actually seen him take decisions, beneficial measures, solving crises etc. I can only hope that they fill this gap in the next episodes.

During the 100th Anniversary speech the son of the employee that planted the tree gave, I got teary ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Gu Won…
Yes, but was it realistic that there wasn't a roster of the people who would be invited to speak? That the sister had invited that politician behind Gu Won's back and didn't even tell him or that Gu Won didn't bother to cancel with the politician, let him know he wouldn't speak after all? How was this organized? It bothered me a bit, because it wasn't explained in a way that would make sense.

For the last few episodes it's getting TOO romantic and honestly it's boring now... I miss the earlier episodes…
I think that it was the respite, and now the sister will start her attack. Of course she will learn about the romance and she will attack Sa Rang viciously.

I wish we would see Gu Won work more ๐Ÿ˜… He's doing absolutely noyhing all day. And now end of episode 9 what…
Yes, we are supposed to understand that what we see is what he does before work, after work and in the weekends and assume that the rest of the time, when he's not courting Sa Rang, he actually does work. But I agree with you that it would have been nice of the screenwriters also show him, albeit briefly, ehm... managing the hotel.

What's with the friends' screaming in horror as if they saw a giant cockroach? This is something I've seen in many Korean dramas, they treat intimate relationships as if it were something terrible and unconceivable. The hypocrisy of it is sometimes disgusting, although this one is of course a comedy.

everything smells fishy here lately
Yes, I know it wasn't expected to and it was okay (the watching point was a cool feature while it lasted), but today, if we had to leave MDL, I don't know where we could find something that would offer the same features.
