Review Why Her?

I wasn't focusing on the drama right now, mine was a more general view. And yes, of course it's not only about the posture. They learn to dry themselves up and to think like men, but not any man, professional successful men in the corporate ladder, who are pretty ruthless. It's something they start in order to survive and climb up, and then becomes second nature. Together with the outward femininity, they also bury down inside their soft side generally. Just as men do when they are ambitious and want to succeed. It's a sad thing to see.

Review Why Her?

I agree with you, k-dramas make me very angry when they do this, and they do it much too often. And sometimes it's just too much. However, speaking of real life. I have spoken with women professionals who have men under them (it doesn't have to be a super-high position), and they all told me that they have to behave differently than their real character in order to be respected by the men. They have to somehow erase their femininity to survive. I am a bellydance teacher, and I routinely see those women whose body is so stiff because of that, and it's heartbreaking to see how much they struggle to find again the natural, flowing feminine movement, because they have conditioned themselves, not only in their behaviour but also in their body language, to act like men to be able to compete. I can spot them immediately nowadays. I ask them if they have a corporate job and, always, bingo! Sad, but true. A lawyer who goes to a court hearing in a flowery, flowing dress with ruffles would not know her job less, wouldn't be less competent, but they would never dare, they must wear suits, don't they? It's the same in every high "office" job. Professional = more man-like in clothing, attitude etc. Only secretaries and other lower positions are allowed - not only allowed but supposed even! - to be sexy because ... you know why.

On Kim Hyang Gi Nov 25, 2021
Definitely less than impressed with her acting (I saw her in both Reveng and Moments of Eighteen). Wooden, expressionless. Made Cha Eun Woo seem like Laurence Olivier (and at least he's eye candy, which is not the case here). Maybe she got better in the past two years? I hope so, but I was shocked to read that she'll be cast with Min Jae who, after Dali and the Cocky Prince, has proved himself a real star.

Title Yumi's Cells
I read the first ten chapters. Do really adults read this sort of thing?
Sorry, I don't think it's my cup of tea. I was bored to death. And if those cells are somehow acceptable in a webtoon, they look totally childish and unnecessary in the drama. If I weren't part of the editing team I would have dropped it after episode 1.

Title On the Verge of Insanity Spoiler
I loved it from beginning to end!
I would have liked those two to end up together as man and woman as well. But that thread was dropped early on (after the kiss) and never picked up again. The jokingly called "proposal" of the end is too faint a clue to be taken as a hint for something more coming between them.

@tsutsuloo: Frankly, sometimes I get vibes that Se Gwon still has feelings for his ex wife. (And I'm not saying this because he is jealous of her relationship with Mr. Choi - being jealous is not a sign of being interested, it might just be possessiveness)

In Ep 11, She flat out tells her friend It doesn't matter if I like it or not I have to convince him to resign…
No, you don't remember well. She initially did him the favor he asked and removed him from the list. The director asked "Why isn't he on the list?", she somehow convinced him and all was good. But he had to open his big mouth and reveal to his buddies how he got spared, so his buddies all wanted the same treatment now, because each one of them had his reasons. Seeing this, she had no choice but back off.

Yes but remember, when she took him off the list, the director immediately spotted it and asked "Why isn't he on the list?" This means the criteria for the list had been pre-decided.

He genuinely deserves the award for most narcissistic scumbag of the year!
Definitely the most narcissistic scumbag! On the other hand, because of the actor playing him, he is also adorable at the same time.

He had a secondary role there, and it was mostly goofball comedy. He was meant to be awkward. Let's say the writer/director made use of what he is everywhere, to make it suit the role. Very clever of them. (The drama was awesome, though).
Yes, he was also okay in Oh My Venus. Interesting role. Nowadays he tends to play only cool chaebols.

he's a terrible actor. i guess i'll be skipping this one and i'm sad
Yes. I wonder how on earth he keeps getting leading roles. The only time he was decent was in Five Children, playing the arrogant and narcissistic golfer. But every single role in that drama was so well-written, and the director was very good too, so everyone was able to give their best.
