No it's not the same ending. It's a subdued happy ending, implied, not really shown, but you know that they will end up together. Remember "Faith", where they just meet and look at each other? That sort of thing. Very frustrating, but still better than the Japanese version.
I wasn't overly impressed with episode 1, let's hope it gets more interesting. For now it's as bland as Hwarang or Joseon Marriage Agency and the likes. Nothing that hasn't been done dozens of times already.

It's also sure that she will end with Kang San, the one she bickers with and there's an unpleasant start of relationship, which in k-drama is an indication that the two will become a couple. We were lucky to have the film to watch while listening, but when I think of the audience sitting on a chair and just listening to it for five hours... it would be torture!
