I'm loving this drama so far, but oh god, how Gao Han was a mistake for me in this drama. Completely can not see him in the role of powerful general and boy in love. I saw him in other dramas where he played a soft character and somewhere else where he played a demon or something, and he did it quite well but here. I can not like him. I don't think he was ready. It just looks weird. His mimics and body movement they do not look natural to me. Shame, I wish they casted a more experienced actor.
yeah i'm also not a big fan of her character, let me know if it get better and you change your mind on her
They are funny together, trying to outwit each other. Thought she's going to get worse, but they are okay. Considering that she's gonna also support him in the future. But I'm only speaking having finished episode 2, but I think I'm gonna continue definitely 👀 Also, this has good opinions, and I did not see anyone complaining about her so it's a good sign.
When it comes to chinese historical dramas , I sometimes have problems with understanding the situation. I just finished episode 1, and can someone tell me if the FL supports Li Ni becoming the Emperor? Or does she do it later on? She kinda came off to me as pretentious and not likable even though I like powerful FLs, so idk why do I feel like that 🤔
I recommend you all to skip from episode 25 to 30. I really liked it after all the drama. Overall, it was a nice show when it came to romance. I dont know why, but it kinda gave me a turkish romcom. I also rarely like second couples, but here Yu You and Niece stole my heart. It is not heavy. Just act like there is no business part (it was boring), and you'll have a good time relaxing from all the heavy dramas that aired this year. Also, for 36 episode drama, in my opinion, it should have at least 8.2 rating. It is not as bad as some people are writing.
Im not watching this rn, but is the romance here like reverse harem or something? Does she give affection to second leads? I really hate love triangles or quadruples or whatever is it called. Also, does the novel end with a happy ending? Maybe someone knows.
Y'all, it's not that bad as you claim to be. It's a modern romance drama with 36 episodes, not 30 or 26. For me, the slow pacing is a lot better than them being together early and having misunderstandings. It's a chill drama with a predictable script. I also skip a few topics I'm not interested in (Shan Shan is what's going on with you, girl). It's a very enjoyable drama. I don't know what some of you expected 😕 the script itself is not bad, I've seen a lot worse 🤔 it's not a masterpiece but good for relaxation. Nothing too deep.
Y'all, I just finished ep 1, but I feel like this drama looks like it has 50 episodes. The way it is directed and the coloring is weird. It feels kinda low budget? It's not what I'm used to see.
I would rather watch slowburn than having them early together and have a breakup for 5 episodes. I think they are going fine seeing that it's not 30 episode drama but 36. I've always had problem with completing modern romance dramas with 36-40 episodes because of constant breakups and misunderstandings/communicating 😎 I'm triving.
I really thought at the beginning that the niece was gonna be an annoying character. I'm happy that they made her nice and independent (not interfering with the leads relationship). Her crush on the professor is also cute. I'm curious how their relationship is going to develop because I think they have an age gap that a few can mind. One question.. it's my another drama that there is a second female lead that often goes to bars alone and just drinks there and waits for a man to approach her. Like, is it entertaining to go alone and just waiting for a man? Is she like some kind of socialite or smth.
Episode 9 and 10 were a complete letdown for me. I admire Shen Xi that she did not leave that company and left with Shao Qian. Enjoyed this drama more at the beginning, now the topics in the drama are not appealing for me. Also, i'm not sure but why the racing cars do not use system halo, it literally saves the drivers life.. is it the budget? But its quite bugging me.
I would completely love this drama if FL did not misunderstood ML relationship with his niece. I had enough of that trope in dramas. Overall a very nice watch.
I haven't started watching this but what is the dynamic between Jiang Hu, Xu Si, and Gao Yi (and maybe another second lead) I'm kinda confused seeing comments that she kissed another. Is the relationship very complicated and is she liking Gao Yi or something? Seeing that the drama is 40 episodes I see different scenarios...
Episodes 7 and 8 were the best (except the ex part). I laughed my ass off when she was hiding behind the bush. I love her sassiness, and for the male lead, I love that every time he sees her, he just smiles so much, like... such a fresh chemistry ⚗️ no wonder they dated, such a match, and to think I almost dropped this drama at episode 1 cause I wasn't fond of ML looks and the dubbed voice. Now I love them both.
ok but if it's only a game and assuming that he is the creator of the game when it ends and they will go back to reality, I don't want a few scenes with them only reuniting and a hug or something. I feel like we should get their normal life also, how would we know how they are behaving with each other in true life? I would love to see them interacting except for the game also. I'm not a fan of where the ending is squished and left for our imagination. I'm not caught up with episodes right now, but I just wanted to share the feelings maybe someone else also feels like this.
The drama was so good. Kinda sits together with Alice in Borderland and Squid Game. I really hope that they are going to do season 2 because I feel like they tried to end it well so that people won't complain about the cliffhanger but also that they could open the way to season 2. I'm really curious why Heesoo and Beongseok couldn't meet at the end.. also the guy who stopped time... they wouldn't imply those things if they didn't consider s2.
Also, for 36 episode drama, in my opinion, it should have at least 8.2 rating. It is not as bad as some people are writing.
