I wouldn't have replied if this person was just expressing discontent about too many tropes. Its just that I've seen them do this for multiple shows, in a rather hateful manner. It seems like they are just looking to for things to hate on. Its kindof weird and funny. Lol
1st week bleh. As usual overhyped korean drama soup presented. Writing and direction all over the place n music…
I've seen your comments on multiple shows simply hating on shows. You never provide proper criticism on what was lacking, since you don't seem to be looking for a show to entertain you instead you're looking for something to hate on. Very strange hobby you have there.
This drama is visually stunning but really lacks character depth and chemistry. The ML's stiff portrayal of the dragon is not something I'm enjoying. I love his hair though. Beautiful. The 2nd couple is much more engaging. I really love QQ! Also her love interest who is a much more interesting stiff character.
Is it okay to support the emotional cheating when the characters are the leads ? The dude is in love with another girl and kissed her after being married to someone else. I understand that he was forced to get married but its not his wife's fault.
Overall quite disappointed with this one.... I've watched 10 episodes. I think I'm dropping this.
I really couldn't feel the chemistry between the leads.... Lin Yi is too much of a baby for this role. LuLu Xu's voice dubbing or acting is too "forced cute" sounding which just becomes annoying.
Asking as a curious viewer. Do people watch this for the plot or the shipping? Goes to show that the kdrama fans…
A good plot is very important to any story.... but a romance tied in makes things much more emotionally charged and makes me care about the characters. In Vincenzo romance is hardly the focus of the story but having the two leads develop their relationship over time makes it a much nicer experience.
Shows which focus only on the romance are usually disappointing and stale. There are some good ones though. But at the same time I find it hard to care about the people in shows where there's no romance at all.
Was I the only one that was slightly discomforted by the joke made about the overweight girl in ep 5? I get it…
It makes me uncomfortable every time but fat shaming is socially accepted in East Asian countries. So while you watch these dramas you just have to learn to ignore them.
I' quite enjoying this drama and definitely following it to the end. But I have a few problems with it that I'd like to rant about.
Romance: I know this story is not particularly a romance and that's why its not the focus, however there has been a lot of focus upon Ashile Sun's story and him being Changge's love interest so I'd expect a little more from the romance.
1. Leads don't have enough time together. They haven't had interacted enough to make me feel like they belong together and should stay together no matter what. Even when the story becomes integrated in the grasslands the leads do not interact much and its just Sun trying to save a person who repeatedly jumps into the fire herself. At this point I just wish Sun would find someone else who could be appropriate for him.
2. Second leads are a little more entertaining but like the main couple, do not have enough time together. However they are making me root for them to be together and I quite like the chemistry, even in the small doses.
Animations: As others have mentioned, it is distracting and takes you out of the story and makes it feel like a cost cutting measure when it is in fact a very expensive drama.
Styling: I can't help but be annoyed with the two strands on hair across CG's face taking away her beauty in every shot. I get so happy whenever the wind blows it away and I can properly see her face.
Plot synchronicity: The leads all have very different directions to go in which makes it hard to build a cohesive story.
