hey @peachblossomgoddess I just wanted to say that I'm a big fan of your beautifully written reviews. They are so expressive and articulate you're very talented. Sometimes I look at them and feel bad about not writing enough reviews and not being articulate or creative enough.
Gong Jun is doing such a fantastic job out of this character. I'm fangirling so hard and can't stop. He is so animated and expressive as he chases Ah Xu, so delightfully scary and evil with his fellow ghosts, and so pitiful when he breaks down with guilt over his questionable choices.
I absolutely love this whole show. Being giddy like a 14 year old is well deserved for a grown ass woman sometimes. Thank you so much producers, directors, cast and crew <3
HS is such a pushover I cannot even like him anymore. FL is dry and selfish as ever. This is the first time in my drama watching history that I don't want the leads to end up together. HS deserved better.

The first episode is a little bit intense and serious. You should try upto ep3 and then decide if you like the vibes of the drama. Don't get discourages by ep1. Also, I absolutely LOVE this. It is a lot of fun. Great chemistry between the leads, good plot with proper pacing, interesting and fun characters.

Yes it really brings to light the double standards women have with how they expect to be treated by a male partner and what they give back into a relationship. If CHS was doing the same thing as SA he'd be despised. If SA is doing it, its "Yay you go girl chase yo dreams!"
Its great that she is encouraged to chase her dreams. But it was clearly a disregard for her relationship and it would be fair for her to lose that. We can cheer for CHS to find a new life and a person who loves him back to the same degree.

I completely agree with you practically. As I said above, this is what is practical and what people often do. Logically she should have just broken up with him and left to never look back to let him live his own life. I'm not saying someone should give up their career and dreams for a person they've known for only a while.
My point is, this undermines her as a lover in that particular relationship and she isn't considerate of HS at all. She even decides on the long distance dragging him along for more time
Dear feminists supporting Song Ah in the comments, the issue here is not whether its okay to choose career or love, its about the complete disregard for the literally perfect love she was presented with and a man who gave her so much emotionally. Its okay that she picks her career, good for her, but it does convince me that she doesn't love HS enough. For different people this may be okay or not okay depending upon how you value relationships and career.
Choosing career over love isn't all that uncommon. It is a practical decision a lot of people make and often serves as a proof of love not being strong enough. But it definitely undermines a romantic storyline where I'm supposed to believe that the characters love each other.
In my opinion if this was real life SA should have gone abroad and broke up with HS so he could move on and live his life.
Guys get on this train! This show brought me back to cdramaland. I haven't been watching cdrama for a while because nothing was holding my attention. I remember the lockdown days when I watched like a million dramas. I'm so excited to find a new drama I'm excited about.
