lol ofc, this drama is FAR from perfect and some really smart ppl left good critiques. it’s also FAR from the worst drama I’ve watched. I like to think of it as a rollercoaster ride w/really great performances.

Yeah, he’s been praising her up and down these interviews. I was like oh he def knew she ate this up and matched energy. I find it hilarious how he addresses her vs how he is with his other female sunbaes. He also mentioned that they just met and talked, very recently. I hope they run it back with a proper melo like he mentioned.

Def a brain at work and a face that MOVES! lol I have to rewatch EK, then I’ll know. I just recently watched Bali and screamed at the ending lmaooo

Indeed. Honestly, when was the last time we saw Jiwon absolutely crush it like this? Empress Ki? I’m glad she popped out and reminded everyone she’s still the baddest. I’m still debating whether this, Empress Ki, or Bali is my favorite performance of hers. This is definitely my favorite Juji performance. Also ppl have been complaining about the makings but seems like everyone was just locked tf in.

There was a lot of chirping after the early eps dropped about why these A-list actors chose this project. Turns out, this was an acting showcase. I mean Cha Joo-young was doing her damn best to steal this drama away from the leads. She put on a phenomenal performance. Ju Ji-hoon, my god. I think this maybe my fave performance of his (kdrama wise). It was very bold and risky for Ha Ji-won to say yes to this. This being her comeback drama after 4 yrs in which she not only has undeniable chemistry with Ju Ji-hoon but also electrifying our screens with her scences w/Nana. She tore this shit tf up. May she be gainfully employed from here on out. This is my first time seeing Nana in anything. She ate and left no crumbs. I hope since this is a joint production w/Studio Genie and it aired simultaneously OTT on Disney+ KR and GenieTV that the actors are eligible for a Blue Dragon Series Award. It would be shame if these performances go unrewarded.

I’m watching it as well and enjoying it. She seems so sweet, bubbly and quirky irl that’s how I forsure knew miss mamas was acting down this series.

If you’re talking about the channel ratings, I think you’re spot on. When it became increasingly clear there wouldn’t be any real love scenes bw Jiwon and Juji and that FL was in fact gay viewers dipped. However, like you mentioned the drama has dominated the online chatter in SK. It’s been no.1 on Disney+ in SK for 23 days straight. When it comes to it, this is one where you really have to split the hairs. Considering the subject matter, I don’t think production could’ve asked for a better turn out, imo. all that to say - I agree with you lol or if you’re talking about the MDL ratings, you’re still absolutely correct.

it would’ve been absolutely bat shxt crazy lmao I totally understand where you’re coming from bc them k-netz something serious. I would argue that her performance in eps 4 and 6 alone was just MASTERFUL. And really the whole cast has been doing GREAT work, so I feel you

after reading Ju Ji-hoon’s exit interview, he mentioned that where ppl watch kinda dictates their reactions (basically) and that this was meant to be OTT 19+ and I couldn’t agree more. like if I turn HBO on a Sunday night, I know what I signed up for fr. So, airing this on national tv might not going over well, but I imagine the folks will be chatting bc mind you, it’s THE Ha Ji-won.
