yeah, that was my first impression. I think the later half of the episodes got better in editing but the earlier ones made me think the story's going nowhere.

In every series, there will always be side characters I'm glad to have in the show and this time it's Xing Jia and Ding Zhou

I guess for Ding Zhou's case as to how he got a soft spot for Cai Zhao, he's the type of guy like Yuzhi who's easily impressed by women who either matches him or surpasses in skill. And Cai Zhao is exactly the woman he admires (not in a romantic way).. He sees her as a proud and dependable junior and that's why he's protective of her.

In the case of Xing Jia, he sees Cai Zhao as a sworn sister (maybe they already are sworn atp), but I'm glad he's in Cai Zhao's life. He takes good care of her. Worries about food and delivers food to her when he thinks she could be hungry. Though he has silly antics (both him and Ding Zhou), he truly cares.

These 2 men aside from Yuzhi (and maybe Lingbo at this point too), cares for Cai Zhao and they're my two favourite side characters.. They're the, "you'll commit a crime? Okay, we got you" 😂😂❤️❤️

Anyway, why are the men in Pingshu's generation so freaking in love with her??? Aside from her "lover" we probably had at least 3 who romantically likes her? 😩😭😭 Everyone takes care of Cai Zhao because they've loved Pingshu (if not in a sibling way, then In a really one sided love kinda way). I mean, sure, the girl is amazing af but oh my gosh.. their generation is pissing me off. 😂😂

Also, why is Krystian (?) from Now United acting here? 😂😂😭😭 I was so surprised and even thought that Li disciple wasn't him. Turns out, it really was him.. Is he still in That Now United group?

okay, so I'm done with EP2 and I'm not sure where the story is headed so far, for those who read the main source material for this, what's the story all about???? I'm guessing Yiran's character is using Shang En's character for something and then he ended up loving her. And he's somehow from an evil sect (?)... Is he pretending to be someone he isn't??? I'm a little confused right now..hahahah. was caught off guard with all the aura framing that's happening.

I haven't started it yet so my questions were really based of the trailers I've seen and some spoiler clips and wanted to get some context into those because it definitely felt like they were starting to fall in love as early as maybe 6 episodes in. so I was confused as to whether or not this show will be exploring more storylines later on..

1. is the story going to be exploring more side characters or something? for a 32 episode show, I think the characters fell in love way too early??? (not sure. just basing of some clips I saw)

2. saw a clip that shows male lead and female lead both transmigrated just 2 hours so they both came to that world almost together.. but in another clip I saw male lead saying he waited for 16 years? I'm so confused..

and the worse thing here is, he's a minor who will have to "OBEY" his mother's words because she still has her claws in him... so even if he misses his newfound family, as long as his mother's against it, he'll not have the chance for a quick meet up in the future (of this storyline)... He loved the man whom he thought was his father.. even accepted and befriended the woman his "father" loved.. how cruel can you be as a woman to let someone take responsibility for a child that wasn't even his to begin with? I'm seriously pissed off.. much worse because she stripped his son's only known identity.. and all of it feels like a game to her. one moment, she's telling the ML he's the father, after a few years, she's straight up blocking these people who came to love her son just because of the truth which she hid herself. ughhh. selfish bitch. she doesn't deserve a single piece of happiness

In the end, Yun Ju was a worse mother than a bad woman I'd say.. How can you as a mother do that to your son? Lying about his whole identity.. making him question who he is.. That's worse than just being a bad/crazy woman... And I honestly feel bad about the son the most.. He deserved happiness and now, it feels like he can no longer even be close to the people he cherished in such a short time.. There's a huge hole to fill in his heart.

awww, you go girl!! I had a wonderful relationship previously but we had to break up after dating for 4 years because he wanted to settle down and I don't.. I didn't want to tie him up for something I genuinely don't know if I'll ever change my mind into... He was lovely but not this kind of level like Zhiyu.. I honestly pray love finds me and grant me a partner who'll be the greenest green flag I could ever have..

definitely one of the few modern dramas I truly truly loved.

I was worried back in EP 18 because I discovered it was only 28 episodes and I keep wondering how they'll even wrap up the story plus the whole 27 kisses discussion.. well, they really wrapped it up and still had more room for sweetness at the end.. which is incredibly perfect for me.

ohhhhhh be prepared to be annoyed (really really feel the butterflies) by their obsession towards each other after they confirmed their own feelings towards each other.. they KISS... like a LOTTTTTT.

I have loved this series so much despite me not really being into modern dramas (I'm more of a costume drama fan)..

As a frustrated architect (you know, never got the chance to pursue this course back then), I love how it shows me things I could've also done if I just had been an architect.. I know it's kinda funny to comment on that when everyone else here is gushing over the romance between the leads but here I am appreciating truly the work they all are doing.. Hu Xiu inspires me in a sense that I too want to become an architect someday. When I already have the time for it.

Anyway, as a woman, I'm most impressed of The BFF.. She is someone I admire so much. She's a woman who gets hurt but she knows when to walk away. She doesn't give second chances because she believes and protects her peace.. I wish more women would think like that too.. Most importantly, I was touched when she said she didn't want to ruin the memories they've had (with her husband) in the past.. She's someone who still appreciates the time she had spent with people and always cherished it. She has a big heart and I really am rooting for her in this..
