okay, I'm so glad I watched this drama even when I didn't like the 1st few episodes..
THE STORY? PHENOMENAL? MENG ZIYI??? INCREDIBLY GOOD (especially when she cried so much).. The villains in this story??? also well done..
and most importantly, for me, I loved the sisterhood between Xihe and Bu Shu lin..
next to that is the love I have for Bu Shu Lin and Cui Jin Bai as a couple..
I just think it's funny that Jin Bai is so incredibly healthy that he has such good swimmers. imagine having accidental sex and getting Shulin pregnant right away.. with not only 1 kid but TWINS!!! he has swimmers. damn. 😂😂 I do think it's a shame that he didn't enjoy his sexual desires that much because Shulin got pregnant immediately but I know the guy's just down bad for her so, it's a win for him anyway.. I do think Shulin being a mom and imposing that she wants the twins to be 1 scholar and 1 warrior is too much. like at least let the kids live longer and ask what they want to do in life..
I haven't seen EP 27,28,29 and from what I've gathered, we don't get to see Cui Jin Bai and Bu Shu Lin at all in those episodes.. man.. their last scene was such a cliffhanger and I have been waiting to see them. I wanna know how clingy CJB is now knowing the love of his life is currently pregnant.. I want a glimpse of their life together currently.
I AM ONE OF THOSE BITCHES WHO STRONGLY DIDN'T WANT THIS SERIES TO HAPPEN (I know, Because I badly wanna make sure at least that the industry knows we don't want minors being paired up with people who are pushing 30s)
I am a huggeeee HMH fan and as one of the kiwis, we wanna make sure he doesn't get blamed on for something he has no control of..
this series has managed to deliver a good story, good characters (and I honestly do understand casting Aimi now. she was great in her role).. and most importantly, THEY MANAGED TO MAKE THIS ROMANTIC WHILE THERE WERE NO KISSING SCENES!! it's one of the rarest dramas that I prayed so hard to not have one just so both Aimi and Neo can get off the clutches of people.
I'm glad it's also only 28 EPISODES..

I kinda wanted Li Mao off the throne too but putting Wu yi in the throne meant, his consort would become the empress. and that also means that it's going to be a new struggle for Wuyi between having his wife choose whether to become an empress or not.
knowing His wife's character, she would rather put up a business and explore the world. by having Li Mao as an emperor, they can live normal lives as nobles travelling
currently at EP 28 1st few parts.... I kinda hate characters like Li Mao.. like what are you really? a good guy? a bad guy? If you want to be a villain, just please be a villain..
also, Xiao Wu Yi is the same but on the last fewer EPs... it's making me annoyed..
loved the ending for Li Lenjun because that bitch deserves to be offed..
Anyway, I didn't think the final villain of this series would be the eagle king but I guess I'll have to accept it as is. hahaha. I feel like it's kinda underwhelming considering the flow the story has gone to.
I mean, if I were CJB I too would look so inlove seeing the woman (well, a man before) I love dressed as a noble lady.. She was already incredibly beautiful before, but seeing her in that dress? I wouldn't be able to survive a day without kissing her. ughhhhh. my favourites!!
loving Xihe and BSL's friendship too!! Xihe will do anything for her friend including protecting her family while she'll be away for months.
I'm kinda scared because I'm currently watching EP21 and it's going wayyyy too well. also, Li Lenjun being in the northern qin territory now scares me because I'm afraid there's no saving in her character.. once a bitch, always a bitch..
now with about 7 episodes left (for me), I wonder how will they actually finish this series and who will become the actual MAIN villain in this story? I'm having doubts that Li Mao will become a purely antagonist character who's still "jealous" even after 2 years have passed because in EP21, people seemed to have acknowledged his reign..that he had lead well for the country so far..
If I had a father in law like Wang Genfa, we'd be throwing fashion shows and having parties every single day. 😂😂😂 And even do monthly father and daughter in law trips..
