This was one of the first K dramas I watched, and I remember it to this day, it's still one of the best I've seen. Jung Kyung Ho is a gem and went on to steal the show in so many amazing dramas. It's so worth a watch

Blaming scripts lol. Other than Rebel and 6FD YKS has been forgettable in every other drama, and even in 6FD he couldn't hold a candle to a truly great actor Yoo Ah In who has never turned in less than a spectacular performance despite the script or the director he was working with. So if we're doing comparisons, I wish YAI was the male lead of this drama because he would blow YKS out of the water. See how dumb it is?

It's not a shame, Ahn bo hyun is a great actor who deserves to be a ML and if they thought YKS was right for the ML he would have been cast, but he wasn't.

yasss directors have a HUGE impact on a drama, they can make just an ok script work so well, bring out the best in bad or even already great actors, while bad directors do the opposite

The director is also super solid his last few projects have been killer

You're lazy for not even looking up his filmography, he only does a a handful of projects every few years and was a big thing even before train to busan/goblin, every time he does a new project he makes a splash there is no reason for him to burn himself out for your amusement

No. It's common for serious historicals (not the fun fusion ones) like this have long episode counts because they're covering a detailed story told over decades

I've never seen the appeal of Nam JI Hyun, she plays the same airhead character in every show I've seen her in, she doesn't seem to have much range. But willing to give her a chance cause this story seems fun. The ML was a standout for me in Under the Queen's Umbrella, he was really charismatic in that, but I haven't seen him in anything since and others are saying he hasn't really improved.

It said they met during gong shim, not that they dated. They didn't start dating till 2021

I have a theory that the sister's bumbling assistant won't be able to get evidence but then the ex BF of Darim will come back into play and tell her about the two in Jeju, and maybe she'll get some pics from the event there to use.

Ugh, I could see this happening and I hate it. I really hope instead he finds out before they get exposed and keeps up the charade, and then comes up with a plan when sis exposes them , but Darim ends up telling the truth to protect him.

This is the laziest writing it's just so cliche. I have a very close male friend I've known for FOREVER and we have both been single for so long, I've seen him date people, he's seen me date people, but for whatever reason we just have zero romantic chemistry. It's 100% possible.

This would make sense if dude hadn't married someone else. If he was so in love with Darim that seeing her with another man made him turn into jealousy monster jekyll and hyde why didn't this scenario play out when she dated that other coder dude? Why did he get married and have a kid w a woman if he had been in love with her all his life and even after divorcing said woman didn't take his chance with her? Honeslty it's just kinda shitty writing, the character isn't super realistic

I kinda hate their interactions right now because it's not like there is some underlying tension or feelings, the 2FL is blackmailing the 2ML to get him to spend time with her while he clearly doesn't even wanna be there and is obsessively thinking about FL instead. They were cute at first but I've lost interest in their romance cause it's not even a romance it's just uncomfortable and sad

I don't think he will either--but I can totally understand why he is acting how he's been acting when he's getting crazy mixed signals from darim and thinks her husband is a cheating liar and that she's in the hospital from the stress of her marriage falling apart.

It's nice that the 2FL is honest, but she ignored him saying he wasn't interested and is still aggressively chasing him and is BLACKMAILING him, threatening to reveal his secret if he doesn't spend time with her. Her character arc went from an ambitious young woman who has zero support but still was trying to create her own art gallery, to her entire personality being her delusional love for the 2ML. It's so cliche and not refreshing to me at all
