It ended exactly as I predicted in episode 1!!Fun, intriguing story...the cooking scenes are beautiful, of course.…
WAIT. Terrible -directing-?? bruh , he is one of the best in the biz, look at his past dramas. He is a great director, and chae min wouldn't have done as well under a terrible director, this director specifically worked with chae min and brought out the absolute best in him (no shade on chae min, he worked super hard and clearly has the talent), but like that's just a crazy take. The writing was sometimes shit tho, agreed.

I give this a fair rate 7/10 because I kind of getting bored 8-10 eps (I did enjoyed the cooking, but it was just…
I agree that the last 2 eps also made me like the show again when it had started to seem kinda bleh. I'm happy with it overall, glad I watched

yeah! I would love to see this in season 2, in modern world hihi (he jealous of her)
I actually think a season 2 could work really well? Like show him struggling hilariously in the future and then they get tranpsorted back again or something. Cause like WTF happened to gong gil, I need to see the rest of his story.

Am I missing something…she started with noting that she shouldn’t change history, but she ofc did by putting…
She tried to tell him she was from the future and he kept acting like she was insane, and at that point he was bein an ass and threatening to execute her and she was cooking to survive so she kinda just gave up even trying to warn him, and I don't blame her

After alchemy of souls and dear hongrang, jin mu finally decided to be a better man 😆 I thought he was bad…
It was actually so refreshing to see him play a chill good guy, I've only ever seen him as the evil guy

Person Lee Joo Ahn
honestly chae min really did well or this man would have totally stolen the show, I really want him to get a lead role.

A very lame version of Mr Queen.
Mr Queen was just a lame version of Tree With Deep Roots following your logic

This was really good and I am glad so many others agree BUT I feel like my girl YoonA is not getting the credit…
I have never seen her before and was shocked people complain about her, I thought she was perfect start to finish.

right?! lmao i don't get why everybody's behind that one line😭 like i thought it was pretty obvious the torn…
This is what I wanted too, like coulnd't he come a little earlier and some hilarious "man from the 1500s" shenanigans happen as she's trying to get that Michelin star? We coulda taken out like one long slow mo shot of another person getting stabbed and fit it in.

Can we just appreciate how much Chaemin has improved? 😭 His acting was amazing he totally deserves an award!
I was super duper impressed with him esp that long scene where the truth about his mother was revealed, like the way he reacted to all of that was just so subtle and well done I was like wow, this man can act. There was one moment where just his eye twitched but I could feel it in my bones

I loved the ending idc
I love how they were not even trying to hide that the huge plot hole of how he got to the future, they're just like "we know what the people want" lolll.

Can someone think of Gong gil T.T he was so defeated at the end like he lost purpose T.T
OMG I forgot about him! And he didn't even appear in the future. They gave his character arc so much screentime only for him to end like that. Loved the actor, hope he gets a lead role next!

it was interesting, for the first two episodes or so.... then turned out meh.
I was really engaged up till about 6, the ming competition dragged so long. I did like the last couple eps tho

Boring and cringe. Acting was terrible. Plot is nothing. I love romance shows exclusively but there is like no…
Whaaat I actually thought that was something the drama got right--it wasn't some superficial love, they fell in love not just cause they were both hawt or whatever like other dramas, they shared a deep passion and understood eachother on a level others couldn't, and her steadiness changed him as a person and he inspired her to be the best version of herself too. There were issues w the drama but the romance wasn't one of them.

This type of role is not as easy as it may seem--playing a larger than life character who has high arrogance and intensity/violence, but is also often absurd can be disastrous if not done with skill and care. I can see areas he can improve, which is normal for an actor of his age, but he really put his whole soul into nailing this and it shows. The success is very deserved and I really enjoyed watching him in this role.

I do have to say Lee Chae Min has proved to me he's got the chops to be a great romantic lead, being a King is not an easy role and requires a lot of charisma and presence, and he is really nailing the romance as well. The way his lips were quivering during the kiss scene in the side room had me feeling all sorts of things.

Also I really hope the popularity of this show gets Kang Ha Na a really big FL role because something about her is really engaging and I feel she is wasted in this show and I wanna see her be a saucy badass lead opposite some dreamy K drama man.

The writer doesn't do a good enough job of weaving the fun cooking/time travel premise in with the overall plot--it was so tied in at the beginning through the first competition, but the ming competition had nothing to do with the overall plot and now the cooking/time travel part of the show and the treachery plot aren't even really connected. She's not using her knowledge of the future to help him, she doesn't need to cook to save her life anymore and her cooking isn't central to uncovering the uncle and consort kang (her making the meal for the prince was just a random tacked on thing at this point). This happens SO SO often with shows that have a fun premise like this and it's frustrating.

I'm gonna finish and I am still enjoying it but the last couple weeks my excitement for this show has really gone down

Title Last Summer
'death of a twin' tag 💀💀
Earlier news from this show said straight out the twin died and Do Ha pretended to be him to fool the FL, so I think it's something that comes up very early on.
