Not just some weed. He did hard drugs like ketamine too. Need to see how he would perform acting without the drugs…
The drugs were in response to the stress from fame, to imply he needs them to act is judgmental and toxic

She also has a lot of charisma and is a good actor, let's give her credit for more than just having masculine features

My prediction of the Drama in short:1) ML, FL are childhood sweethearts, have been each others one and only for…
I could see this being the outcome, but man I hope it's not. Because then it just becomes a cliche romance drama with a bit of a spicy premise.

I would really love it if the FL, who wanted to be the one to open the relationship in the first place, ends up realizing she really loves the ML and took him for granted, only for the ML to realize he actually wants to be with the 2FL and to end up leaving her in the end. That would be a fascinating plot twist.

It's obvious that the average age on MDL is very low and most are teens.Just look at the kdramas they love over…
Saying that a show having young characters or a high school setting automatically makes it an immature drama is an ignorant/immature view itself. While I agree that it's frustrating that more mature dramas like this don't get as much love, your argument is lazy and no better than what you're trying to argue against.

WHC1 was a well written drama that was nothing like Lovely Runner in theme or execution. Twinking Watermelon, 25-21, All of us are dead, School 2013, Moving, Solomon's Perjury, Extracurricular, Save Me, just to list a couple off the top of my head -- all high quality dramas exploring high school and young adult life.

I feel like the writing will actually not take it far enough and that will be the nail in the coffin. Like they have this bold, complicated premise but then will just use it as window dressing for a safe romance.

also funny how BL fans talk about queerbaiting etc, when they are totally fine with straight (or even gay) actors…
Hon... you made SO many assumptions about others in this one comment alone and still with your full chest complained of others doing the same? You are contradicting yourself every other sentence, doing the exact things you criticize others for, or justifying doing the same thing you say makes others wrong or bad. You really can't see it at all. You need to pull back and look at your own biases and issues before popping off all over this comment section telling everyone else how awful and wrong they are. Your lack of self awareness is WILD.

bromance itself is a very toxic concept to queerbait audience what do u expect 😭
You need to slow allll the way down cause you have no idea what bromance actually means. It's a portmanteau that borrows from "romance" but doesn't actually imply any romance. IT is LITERALLY ACTUALLY defined as non-romantic: "a deep platonic bond between men that features high emotional intimacy", "a very close, affectionate, and non-sexual relationship between two or more men," choose whatever dictionary you want, you'll find the same definition. You don't just get to chose whatever meaning for "bromance" you decide lets you make the argument you want to make, that is called a straw man and/or equivocation since you seem fond of throwing around fallacy language, aka a super weak argument. So if you claim it's queerbating you need to come up with a better argument than "it has bro and romance it it so it's in between therefore queerbating"

I feel so torn about this drama. The overall plot arc and story were actually so good, but it felt so disjointed scene to scene. I can't tell if it was the writer or the director/editor who screwed it up. There wasn't too much story like some people are claiming, they just spent too much time on unimportant scenes (like the entire filler episode of the ex boyfriend jealousy storyline). Some of the scenes had me feeling so emotional and really stuck with me, but others didn't land at all. I feel like I really liked it and also didn't like it at all. Idek man.

I think the chemistry and all was fine..the plot development itself was weak.. the premise was good: 2 ex lovers…
Yeah it's frustrating because all the plot beats were great but the execution was just so off.

Yeah nobody wants to talk about this and some crazies even think this is some feminist drama, BUT the way he barged…
Yeah I'm pretty annoyed with how he had ZERO character arc. Like he needed to spend a couple episodes figuring out what he actually wants in life besides just being with Yi Jae, but he just spent the time being mopey. I don't get the point of the story tbh

The second lead's story was so good that I ended up hating it.
I was so annoyed with how quickly they wrapped it up and then gave us a couple lazy scenes. I would have watched an entire drama about just the two of them.

So true, he needs to cement his place. The webtoon is really popular so lots of potential, but he's also the 2ML so he needs to give us some serious second lead syndrome (which is even more possible since the webcomic readers don't seem happy with the ML casting).

Tbh I can't believe HIY chose a project where the male lead is written so poorly. He is toxic and selfish, childhood…
Being imperfect isn't being poorly written, it's actually the opposite, this fits perfectly in with his character as shown the entire drama. He needs to grow, that's what this story is about. Him asking her to stay once isn't toxic, he has a right to ask her to stay. She has a right to say no and to leave. He isn't going to stop her if that's what she really wants.

I find characters who are perfectly good and have ZERO self interest and only ever sacrifice for the other person super boring and unrealistic, but I guess that's what you all want?

Title Dream to You
Soo Bin has been like this from the beginning so it's no surprise he reacted this way, it's actually very consistent for his character. He's clung on his romanticized idea of this dream and lost her and himself in it. I'm glad she snapped him back to reality. No one else should ever be the main focus of your life, he would have completely smothered them both within a few years, and she has the wisdom to see that.

Idk why everyone acts like he's satan reincarnate just cause he's short-sighted and self focused, people are allowed to be human without being bad people. He's just been holding onto this as his one lifeline for so long he doesn't know who he is without it at this point which makes him desperate to hold onto it. Which is exactly why he ALSO needs to figure out what his dream is besides her.

This is one time where I think them going their own way for a while is the right move. They can come together again when it feels like a choice, not like some destiny they're both tied to from their childhood.

RED FLAG Why is abuse so normalized in dramas?!?! Why isn't a healthy stance taken—so that people watching who…
A lot of abuse victims just want to move on. It's understandable that Soo Bin's mom doesn't want to spend years going to court and in the constant media spotlight, and having to continue to deal with a dangerous, sociopathic man who may try and twist the narrative or do something even more unhinged, and a man who has a lot more money and power than her to pay for lawyers. His reputation is ruined, and will be even moreso when he gets divorced. It took her a lot of courage just to get to that point to leave, so demanding that she try and completely take him down is not being particularly empathetic to people in her situations.

I think you need to do some research on abuse in real life before getting upset because you seem to be demanding a different sort of cliche narrative where the victim is unrealistically strong-willed and the typical story hero who takes down their abuser no matter the cost to their own well being and mental health.

Honestly I know guys like this who see women as possessions, it's not about love at all. He just wants to be the one to have her.

I really do not like the Nobel Idiocy trope. In this case it’s like full grown independent adults are treated…
Traviata is a classic opera where a man and woman fall in love and the man's family pressures her to leave him because they don't think she's good enough for their son and will ruin his life/reputation if they stay together, and she does thinking it's some great sacrifice for him.

You really have to get to episode 6 to appreciate where this story is going. This is an old drama that has 28 eps so they really take time to set things up, but even tho its good at the start ep 6 is life changing, you will never look back. Still one of my favs even after a decade.
