I don't mind Japanese comedy. This just wasn't very funny. Just finished watching Love Shuffle. Everything there was over the top, but it was 100x funnier than this show.
Kyou Kara/ Aoi Honoo/ Mr. nietzsche were also over the top for me, but after a few episodes I got used to it and eventually like the dramas. For some reason, that is not happening for me with this drama. I'm surprised because I think the screenwriter worked on Kyou Kara as well.
She been playing robotic characters lately. I hope she breaks this stereotype, she's a lot better than this.
She's probably getting type casted into these roles. She did well in Kahogo no Kahoko. Now all the roles that are probably offered to her are eccentric.
This drama doesn't deserve so much hate. The ML is a really exaggerated nerd and the FL is a total Mary Sue. The romance is mediocre. What really makes this drama special is the relationship between the ML and the internet board.
This is probably one of the best Shonen live action movies I have ever watched. My only critique was that they made Kaoru way too weak. I think in the manga and anime, Kaoru is moderately strong.
I'm at week 4, and this Asadora is surprising good. It probably doesn't get as much attention because Takimoto Miori is not as famous as some of the other Asadora heroines. Tsubasa, Wel-kame, Gegege came before it and Ohisama, Carnation, and Umechan-sensei came after. All of other lead actresses became relatively famous, but I'd still recommend this show over Tsubasa and Wel-kame.
Thanks. I didn't realize Avallac'h had started subbing it. I remember when it the subbing project was dropped ep 54, and I had given up hope. I thought the series would be another dropped Asadora subbing project.
