"It only recently changed to 18 years old in 2022"oh cmon..... did you hear yourself ?
Did you misunderstand my comment? I said that this relationship should not have been condoned, and it is even worse considering that the ML was 5 years legal adulthood in Japan at the time of the shows airing.
Underrated drama. The middle episodes felt a little disorganized and possibly unnecessary. What I enjoyed the most, was the fact that I didn't hate any of the main characters.
Sorry. I just couldn't take this show seriously. I like how half the comments are twisting themselves into knots trying to justify the plot scenario. If the roles reversed, and it was a 15 year old female middle schooler and 25 year old male teacher, would all of you people actually be okay with it?
Edit: Just wanted to mention that the legal age of adulthood was 20 years old in Japan when this drama aired. It only recently changed to 18 years old in 2022.
It had good moments, but they are few and far between. Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi, Renai Jidai, Saikou no Rikon, Date, Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu, Love Shuffle are all better.
This series is seriously underrated. Most Sherlock shows take the existing stories and just rewrite them in a modern setting. This one has completely original stories but keeps the same dynamic between the main characters. The stories are not a complex as the originals but they are still quite good.
Did this have an actual ending or do we need to watch the Hulu spinoff?
It had a ending, but they left it kind of open ended. Felt like they added the last few minutes just so they could add another spinoff and make more money.
Edit: Just wanted to mention that the legal age of adulthood was 20 years old in Japan when this drama aired. It only recently changed to 18 years old in 2022.
