Great review. You so eloquently stated exactly the issues I had with this drama. Dylan Wang is pretty to look at, but he needs to keep studying the craft of acting. I do believe his work was far better in Love Between Fairy and Devil, so there is hope that with time he will come into his own.
It will always depend on what you want to watch. Cdrama has a lot to offer, tho this is one of the best xianxias…
There are better C-dramas out there, believe me. It just depends on your preferences. I personally like romances, so don't mind these type of dramas. I do really need for the actors to know how to act and the main leads need work on inner monologues. I recommend anything with Yang Mi. She is a wonderful actress and has been in some great C-dramas.
Good for them. Love is love, and if they want to spend the rest of their lives together, people should be understanding and not give them a hard time. Their private lives are their own.
I am nearing the homestretch and I have been enjoying this series even though the behavior of these two often vexes me. There is some great chemistry between our main leads and I am impressed with their work in building said chemistry. Would that more performers put in the effort to make a relationship believable as these two did.
If I understood correctly, they wanted lunar water to replenish the water on Earth but first wanted to test it to make sure it was safe for human consumption, hence the testing on human subjects. The findings are that the water has viral properties that make it dangerous to humans so the space station scientists are trying to find a work-around to make it safe. Despite the danger, humans still want to steal it, bring it on to the planet and patent it. All this is being done in secrecy because the type of research would bring serious repercussions if brought to light.
Oh, my God! This show is pure crack/cocaine. I love it! Very seductive and grotesque at the same time. The train is starting to go off the rails after the last episode.
Oh my goodness, Lisa is the worst! She needs a therapist. And I agree, I have no empathy for the characters, I…
Me, too! She is a lost cause. After the last episode I have finally written her off. She seems to know she is heading for disaster but just can't stop herself. Oy!
I think WL means Women love but no it's not woman love
It’s about two best friends whose friendship goes wrong when one has an affair with the other’s guy. Now the wronged woman wants revenge and things are really messy.
Everyone has such big secrets that it is hard to warm up to anyone. I think that is the intent of the writers. It is certainly an engaging drama. The plot putters along but it’s not boring. How do you all feel about Lisa? She really needs a shrink.
I loved Song Kang's performance in this drama and grew to care deeply for him and the ensemble cast. Not sure how I feel about Season 2 moving forward.
