I have watched a handful of Taiwanese dramas and found them disappointing. I am hoping Ghost Bride will change that.

Definitely, Eternal Love! Mark Chao is my dream man. I just finished watching the last episode of The Pillow Book, and even though it wasn't at the same level of excellence as its predecessor, the last episodes were very well done. I will put Goblin on my To Watch List. Currently watching The Ghost Bride and I like what I've seen so far.

May I recommend Mr Sunshine and Rise of Phoenixes for some strong romantic characters? Yes, Black was awesome!

Yes, I am aware of that but I wish they hadn't touted it as a sequel because it really isn't. Storylines and continuity matter. Eternal Love could have been long enough without the secondary romantic characters and just focused on the MLs. The show stood well on it's own. I am surprised the screenwriters were able to write a completely new story about characters they didn't have rights to.

I did a side by side comparison of the cast just to see how many parts have been recast from TLTWTMPB. It's disappointing really. I was hoping to see more familiar faces. I still don't understand why they cast such a young actress to play Chen Yu. I loved the original, Wang Ting, who is the same age as her love interest, Liang Song. I am happy that James Li reprised his role, unlike so many others. I would have loved to see Alan Yu and Ken Chang reprise their roles as Bai Zhen and Zhe Yan, respectively. Could so many have been under contract elsewhere? I have watched the first two episodes so far and I am a little underwhelmed. I hope it picks up soon. Too much silly, juvenile antics going on. Been there, done that. Also, not sure how I feel about the plot differing from its TLTWTMPB counterpart. It seems a bit disjointed with the lack of continuity. Nothing is really happening yet.

I really enjoy watching him. He lights up the screen. The Untamed is the first drama I have ever seen him in and he has done a wonderful job as Wei Wu Xian. Looking forward to seeing him act in many dramas to come!

On the final episodes of the Untamed and I really enjoyed Paul Yu’s performance as Wen Ning. He is rock solid as the long suffering and loyal Ghost General. He portrays him as vulnerable, yet tough and funny all at once. He is absolutely endearing.

Although the ending was what I expected, it felt off. I didn’t get the sense that there was this “finally” moment. The two leads looked a bit uncomfortable with their live scenes even when the chemistry between them had been just fine in the previous season. Not sure what to make of that.

I liked this series. Enjoyed how the ML goes from withdrawn and cold to warm and caring when he falls in love. Cute FL, too.
