i’m on ep 21 and i really don’t understand what’s happening with the second couple, GJ + BRS. like what exactly is the problem in their relationship?? the girl keeps sighing and looking at her phone as if waiting for GJ to text/call her, but why would he when she keeps shutting down any conversation he tries to make. at the same time, GJ is only half committed to whatever they have going on even tho he seems to want more but doesn’t have the balls to commit. they confuse me so much. neither of them communicate about it with each other, the girl just makes her own conclusions abt him and then pushes him away when he tries. and the guy isn’t off the hook either cuz he makes just as confusing, back-and-forth decisions too. i can’t imagine how they’d be a couple if they’re already like this

lmaoo i agree, i'm on episode 16 and there's really not much of a plot (still exactly as you described lol), so if it weren't for the entire cast, i 100% wouldn't have watched this far. and honestly, the cute moments between the leads is what's keeping me going in the show at this point.

i've lost count the number of times that they were abt to kiss but a phone call interrupts them 😩

I really wish it was a subtitle mistake 😭 I'm a heritage speaker of mandarin so I can understand pretty basic and conversational stuff, but the way I understood it was pretty much what the subtitles said...atp they're 5 years apart in my mind 😂

I also typically only watch costume dramas and usually not a big fan of modern dramas. This drama is just so cute and fluffy. It has me blushing and everything 😂 There's only 25 episodes and each one is like 45 minutes long, so it doesn't take up a lot of time to watch. I feel like it's better than other modern romances just bc I normally can't stand/finish watching them. It does start off a bit slow tho since it starts with SZ's middle and high school years. The romance doesn't actually start until much later. I personally love the visuals, the OSTs(!!), and the cute antics between the FL and ML 🥺 ML is literally the perfect boyfriend 😭

Can someone clarify just how old the leads are? In episode 20, they say the ML is 26 and FL is 5 years younger than him, making her 21. But she's also a college freshman/rising sophomore, who are typically 18-19 years old if following the traditional path. Idk about yall, but that's not making any sense to me 😭 Is this a plot hole or am I missing something?? 🤡

Edit: FL says she's turning 20 next year in episode 23 and then ML says he's almost 26 which counters what he said in episode 20. 😭 Ima assume that they just can't calculate and that they (and none of the other characters) know how old they actually are 💀💀

Well said. I watched Dance of the Phoenix before too and became a fan of YCY then. Her acting has improved so so much since then. I've enjoyed watching this drama so much that it's heartbreaking to watch YCY and the show receive so much hate because of haters and antis. I wish I could directly tell them how amazing the show is and how hard they've worked on this 🥺 I'm glad YCY and DYX have each other to rely on right now TT
