This had me at the Seo Ji Hoon mention! He’s hardly ever talked about and he’s one of my favourites in dramaland, but he’s disappeared since being announced to be part of that BTS drama. Come back Ji Hoon!
Sometimes I find myself getting a little bored but then it picks up and I become obsessed again. Also it's not very often that I prefer the couple once their actually together over the build up to the relationship, but these 2 once they're together as a couple are so cute it's ridiculous!
I just need to take a minute to fangirl over how interesting of a character they created in Ji Chung Shin! He could have been just one thing but there were so many layers to him throughout. He's one of my favourite villains in a long time and that's not down to one thing it's a combination of everything, writing, direction and casting. The casting was especially smart because the actor can easily play scary, but there's also an extremely real naivety and innocence to him that made me feel a sense of sympathy for him throughout his time in the drama - no matter how evil his actions were and they were very evil.
I was really expecting Aoey to not really be in love with Nubsib, but believe himself to be in love with him, because he sees that the fans like them together and he feels the only people he has that care for him are his fans, so I thought he'd believe himself to be in love with Nubsib to earn more love from his fans...sooo it turns out I was completely wrong, very surprised, the series really threw a curve ball here! I do think Aoey is a very interesting character though, I'm not a fan of his actions, but I am intrigued by him and I'm looking forward to where they take his story. I think Bruce is playing him very well.
It actually bothers me that until last week I thought that Bruce was around 18/19 and expected that he's the baby of the cast, but no he's the eldest...how!? He looks so young!
I'm giving up complaining and being angry about this drama. I'm really loving Li Cheng and Mu Rens love story, so I'm just going to ignore everything else and be happy, no more pausing the drama to rage at it, I will try to be naively happy watching this from now on.
I think I've finally matured as a drama watcher, I used to never drop dramas, but watching this has started feeling like a chore and I think even if I did manage to finish it'd end up just being an average drama for me. I love a lot of the cast, but sadly this drama is a no for me! I was so excited too!
I really miss him! He's one of my top 3 favourite actors...wish he'd return with something good soon, Youth sounds like it's going to be a complete mess and who knows when that will even be completed.
This was enjoyable but also very mediocre - I did like that they didn’t redeem the “villain” at the very end like a lot of these web series do - the things they said were just too horrible to be redeemable - I really liked the smls evolution though
I wasn't excited for this just from reading the synopsis, but that teaser was just gorgeous. It does look like it will be tough to watch, but so incredibly beautiful at the same time!
I didn't like that at the end they treated it as if the FL was the main person in the wrong. Lee Seung Yoo wasn't some puppet that couldn't say no - he made choices and the choices he made were stupid and hurt people - I wish he took a bit more accountability for his actions. Ugh. I liked this drama, but really the best thing about it was Hanis noona romance and seeing her love interests friendship with Ah Young blossom. I like the leads as actors, but their characters this time were a bit meh.
The thing I had the biggest issue with in episode 1 was Li Chengs character, but now its the main reason I'm watching drama still. He's just this excited puppy most of the time, but sometimes he has this vulnerability that feels so real and he naturally seems so charming and charismatic. I just watch these episodes as complete Charles Tu trash now. I also actually kind of liked his scenes with FYJ this week which is surprising because I hadn't liked many scenes with FYJ so far. I still don't like the brothers couple, but I'm really enjoying Muren&LiCheng- they've got good chemistry, which I found surprising because I didn't initially see it. Anyway in my opinions the episodes this week were the best so far.
Everyone was kind of sad that it seemed Kwak Dong Yeon would be getting such a boring role when this drama first came out - but look at Han Seo now - he's having one of the most interesting arcs of the drama - it's what KDY deserves!
After watching the first 4 episodes as they aired and rewatching them about a million times each I finally sat down and watched the last episode for the first time. It took so long because I really didn't want to say goodbye to these characters under Boss's direction. Anyway I cried start to finish but I managed to avoid spoilers and didn't know what to expect. Now I feel all warm inside! Shows like this a extremely hard to come by - I'll never stop gushing over it. Also Billkins talent is ridiculous - the natural charm and charisma he brought to Teh, the quirks of his character, his quiet moments - if this was a film I could see him being a nominee in so many international award shows.
