Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi in a rom com together...I never imagined them reuniting on screen like this, but I am beyond excited. I love the concept of a couple who break up and vow to never see each other again, but then are forced back into each others lives.
Episode 8 (whilst a little problematic because of how behind Korea is when it comes to lgbt rights and this isn't the best rep to combat that way of thinking) I have to say the episode was at the same time so comedically creative and smart. They literally shot a mini rom com kdrama. It had all the cliched lines, the cliched theme park date, the cliched overacting, the cliched rain scene etc! And it felt like it was shot differently to how Vincenzo usually is, they directed it like they would a rom com. It poked fun at the cliches we all love, because they seem so out of place in a drama like Vincenzo...it was hilarious. I just really appreciate how creative that was. Bravo Vincenzo!
I'm only watching Kang Min Hyuk for the first time in 'How To Be Thirty' currently (and even though they're presenting his character as a dishonest jerk at the moment) I can't help but just love him. He's so charismatic and charming that I'm fearing potential second lead syndrome. But I've never seen a Lee Min Ki drama so maybe he'll be even more likeable.
I just really love that when WKX and ZZS met neither of them were being completely their true selves. WKX presented himself as nothing but flirtatious and fun, whereas ZZS was very serious and gloomy, but slowly as they spend more time together WKS is showing that he can be very serious and dark and ZZS is showing he can be fun and flirty - they're meeting in the middle. I love how they are proving to be so similar the more of themselves they reveal to one another. Im just loving this drama, especially their ever changing dynamic!
I forgot what to expect in episode 9. I went from my cheeks hurting from smiling too much, to now being a sobbing mess at that ending. Kim Soo Hyun is just such an outstanding actor. I am incapable of handling his tears.
Sad that the people translating the manhwa for free have now dropped it, but I of course understand. It is now getting an official translation on manta.net, which is a site you pay a subscription for. I was very invested, but I'm too poor at the moment. Guess I'll have to wait for the drama to see how this adorable story ends.
It feels so strange that there's zero buzz around a new HiStory instalment. I kind of understand why there isn't, but it just feels strange compared to how hyped we all used to be about them.
So many Hollywood a-listers have gotten drunk for "Oscar winning" films and roles. A few examples: Margot Robbie, Anna Kendrick, Brad Pitt, Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman drank a whole bottle of tequila for their Black Swan sex scene - Natalie Portman literally won an Oscar for her performance in that film. I don't get why these Hollywood actors get prestigious acting awards when they feel they need to be drunk for their best performance in a certain scene, but Sam only gets hate for it. Its not like Sam went rogue - it was a controlled environment! You can have issues with the scene, but why that aspect of it. I don't get it.
Overwhelming, tense and raw. Those are the only words I can think of to describe episode 2. Its been a long time since I've literally had to pause and walk away from a film or a tv episode due to it being too intense. I really have to commend the cast and crew, because personally I think that once scene in particular was perfect (to be clear I'm obviously not saying the actions are perfect) from a technical and emotional perspective. It was supposed to feel uncomfortable, dark, broken and painful. I'm still so tense and I finished the episode a while ago! I don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to watch that scene ever again. It clearly really affected me and thats why I watch TV and films. Anyway I'm eagerly awaiting next week.
I thinks the script for this is great and the writer showed she loved the source material and know it well. Compared…
Apparently the writer has been a really big fan of Priest for a while. That's the way more productions should do it - get a someone who actually loves the original story to adapt it! But some bts photos do make it clear that towards the end some things will stray away from the original text - no one knows how much, it could be barely. Also yes, Gong Jun is perfect in this role, nobody could've embodied WKX better!
I watched episodes 1 - 4 as they aired and rewatched them a thousand times but I couldn't bring myself to watch episode 5. So since today is the day that part 2 was originally supposed to start airing I'm going to rewatch episodes 1 - 4 and finally watch episode 5 for the first time - I'm very excited.
Love that he wants to make a series with Earth and Santa as the lead's - earth deserves a chance to be the front and centre lead for once and he said it'll be cute and sweet, not depressing at all!
I love the concept of a couple who break up and vow to never see each other again, but then are forced back into each others lives.
