I still like the main couple quite a lot, I really like Charles Tu's performance, he brings this great energy and naiveite to Li Cheng and I enjoy watching him on screen. I also like the set up of the relationship between MuRen and him - their long time friendship feels believable to me and I like it as a foundation for their potential romantic relationship. Some of the things their characters do and say is stuff I didn't think would still be a part of BLs in 2020, but overall I still like them. The second couple though, I had to fast forward through their scenes, I don't get what they're trying to say with them, but I really don't like it, it made me feel a little sick - so I'll be continuing for the leads, but skipping over the second couples scenes. Sorry.
What a great lead pair, both brilliant actors, both gorgeous and you can already tell they'll have great chemistry- On a side note though when's Jung Gun Joo gonna stop being the sml and finally get an ml role!?
Park Sang Nam was really the stand out for me in this. I really disliked his character in Twenty Twenty and so I was surprised that almost immediately he became my favourite in this and that carried on throughout the whole series. I hope to see him as the ml in something soon - I think he'd do a great job.
I'm only halfway but the plot is super unique. I'm really enjoying it. It's fun, light, cute and sweet. It's been a little while since there's been a good fantasy rom-com and as that's my favourite genre I'm so happy I found this.
I personally found the chemistry of Liz and Kyro to be really lacking and on top of that I didn't love their story, but I rewatch Smile and Badz's story all the time.
All we ask for every year is to let Kim Seul Gi get more fl roles...please let this work out- even though its a webseries, when she really deserves a full length series. I still have hope it'll happen some day!
I was trying to think back to a drama which I loved in the same way that I love this one and the only one I can think of is HiStory2: CTL, over the years I have loved other dramas more than CTL, but (until WBL) I always felt that drama did emotions better than any other I'd ever seen. The emotions in them are both shown to such an effective and at times hard to watch degree - everything works in perfect harmony, directing, acting and the wonderful screenplay.
I saw someone say that this has started filming recently, I've also seen a bunch of people saying Bad Buddy had finished filming already - so I wonder which of the 2 will air after Fish Upon the Sky?
Jeon So Nee along with Park Jin Young was my favourite part of When My Love Blooms - I'm so happy to see her in the proper FL role here. And Ki Do Hoon surprised me with how much I actually liked him in Catch the Ghost, this pairing is gonna be great.
I am so in love with the book and it's been quite a while since I've been this excited about a book - I am only on chapter 60, but there's already so many parts I'm keeping my fingers crossed they decided to include in the drama and will make it through censorship. But I know no matter what Chu Wanning will constantly break my heart.
This is shot so cinematically! And the emotions are so rich and real. Also I'm just so happy to see Hong Seung Hee have a main role in a full length drama - she looks stunning in this too.
Ok, I really wasn’t prepared for Li Chang’s character the first episode, he’s just quite a lot. But after episode 2 I have to say I got used to his character and I’ve started to really really like him, he’s such an overexcited, naïve puppy, it’s kind of hilarious. I’m still trying to figure out Muren, but I’m liking him as well. The side couple...they’re just weird and uncomfortable to me at the moment. Anyway this is undoubtedly a silly drama, but it’s also fun and so I’m enjoying it.
I was just going to browse the first chapter to get an idea of where the story starts, to see if I might want to check this drama out, but now I'm 9 chapters in and dont want to put the book down. Oh no.
I know most of the time we watch gender bend dramas and think "seriously? How are they fooling anyone!?" But I honestly think Lee Se Jin is going to be a gorgeous and believable girl. Anyway, I'm excited!
When I started watching this the rating was at an 8.3 and that made me a little hesitant, but look at it now!!! It's so deserving of an 8.8 (and if the ending doesn't ruin it, higher)
