Finally completed this series and I have to say, what a dumb-ass ending that was! It really makes the time spent watching 40 episodes seem like a waste. And it was so good until the end.

Who should be the second one?🤭 They both play such morally grey characters so well, who would be the good guy and who would be the bad? 🤔 Or they could play brothers (easily) who had their family fortune stolen from them when they were kids and now they are out for revenge! Oh, I like that, have the MLs star in a revenge drama instead of all these dramas that have FLs out for revenge. 🥰

They never really said. There was a bit of a blurb in episode 23 right around 16:28 into the story. "The capital city changes. Wu is deposed. New Emperor rises, enacting new policies.'" That's it! I guess that is the easy way to overthrow the existing emperor? Plus they probably didn't want to show them executing a woman and a child so they sanitized it.
How frustrating. I wanted to finish this series today but iqiyi only has up to episode 24. I can't even express it. Have they given up on this series and said f*ck it we won't show the rest? I was willing to pay! Hell, I even went to kisskh and they don't have episodes 25 and 26 subbed yet. Wait, how many episodes is it? 26 or 29?
