That is fascinating! It really explains the character and why she acts that way perfectly if you imagine her as a mischievous child. I'm going to try watching with that in mind to see if I can get over my dislike 😉

His servants are really just awful at lying, aren't they?😂 Love the way the FL bought the family business in secret to help her grandfather😇 Oh, the way the FL turned away the ML🥺 The ML sulking🥲 LOL trying to hire her to 'escort' himself😄 I love how the bad guys think it's all part of some elaborate scheme and all the ML wants is to be with the FL😁 I do love their new dynamic! 🥰 I love the ML openly telling everyone ❤️🩹 The FL attitude is everything! 'I usually don't bother with others...I suddenly feel an impulse to punch something.'🤣 It's amazing how they are able to make the FL actually look more gaunt and almost frail. Mini Rant alert: They made the FL way too dislikeable to start with. All of the terrible things she has done to the ML, including having him thrown in jail, and we're supposed to believe that the ML is all that concerned about her? Besides lying to get him thrown into jail, she stole all his money, constantly buys things on credit that he has to pay for, forced him to ruin his life by getting a job he did not want, and he still has no money. He should be quite happy she is gone, and if he finds her again he should be looking for ways to either sell her off or have her killed. They really need to explain how/why the ML feels responsible for her cause it makes no logical sense. I'm all for a good story but it has to follow some sort of logic structure. They aren't making her any better, they are making her worse. The ML saves her life and the next minute the FL is back to extorting money from him. ML, just say no. Kick her out. Seriously ML, time to sell her off. I am starting to really seriously dislike this FL. And she started out so damn funny. Her character is not being cute or funny at all. Why did the writers make her so incredibly hateful like that.🤬🤬🤬 Ok, mini rant over. And it's just a fictional drama so at the end of the day who cares? Episodes 1-6. So far I'm loving this! A really outstanding ensemble cast, well written/acted humor, enough exciting sword and wirework to satisfy my wuxia craving. And TJC. What more can you ask for?🥰
I love seeing familiar faces popping up too. Wang Cheng Si has become my new favorite character actor. His short stint as Yan Nanxing's doppelgänger in Follow Your Heart was so damn funny, the physical comedy and his facial expressions were priceless! To me he set the tone for the entire series. I've seen him in so much lately and he never fails to deliver! 🤩And its so nice to see our favorite sexy snake Wang Yi Yao. She brings sex-appeal to a whole other level doesn't she?🐍
Who knew TJC could do slapstick comedy so well? He has done pretty much everything by now dancing, singing/acting. Here's an idea, I want to see TJC as a sexy psychotic serial killer playing cat and mouse with a smart detective next. 😁
