Just starting watching this one as part of my quest to find something to hold my attention. First episode, wow, wasn't expecting so much ick factor in this. But damn it's good. I may have to FF and turn my head away from some parts but the acting is doing it for me! NOTE: great series to watch if you are on a diet π€’
I just finished watching this for the 4th time in the past two months. I've read the novel twice as well. I am…
Desire Catcher is pretty good too. Nice bromance with a bit of not really supernatural but hypnosis. Anyhow I liked it and pretty engaging characters. Psych-Hunter is pretty damn good with a great bromance between the 2 male leads. (And then they ruined it by having the absolute worst female character ever but if you fast forward over her parts it's pretty cool) Not a modern tale but love the steampunk look of it.
I've never watched this because truthfully, the trailer on Viki looks like crap! Nothing at all what the real series is like. I would have never watched this if it weren't for seeing people here on MDL chatting about how excited they are for Season 2. So thanks all! I started binging this today and I can tell there will be no sleep in my immediate future!
This is a fun adaptation. I wasn't expecting that end. Now on the search for Death Note 2: The Last Name. In case anyone is interested, according to google, the proper order to watch the live versions is: Death Note (2006) Death Note 2: The Last Name (2006) L: Change the World (2008) Death Note: New Generation (2016) Death Note: Light Up The New World (2016)
After watching episode one, I have to say, Victoria Song as a frumpy middle-aged lady with a really bad haircut is something I never thought I would see!
There's something so entertaining about machine-generated subs. I have no idea what the story is actually about, but I'm enjoying it immensely! Episode 2, that car scene was quite steamy and wasn't expecting that.
I'm unable to concentrate on anything today so I'm sampling different series I've been wanting to watch. This one is just wow, only first episode watched but omg Neo is so damn young and adorable! And after having just watched Yu Tong in Will Love in Spring it's fun to see her in another role, also so very young! Hopefully this keeps my interest...π
I gotta say, the director is hilarious in all the behind the scenes shots they show at the end of the show. I usually skip the end credits but seriously not for this show!
WTF is up with the sister? So just because she is rich everyone is afraid of her and she can do whatever she wants in the police department? What alternate universe is this in? π
After a couple of recommendations I decided to try this series again and I must say, I'm loving it! I had tried watching it before and never got past like the first scene in the first episode, Gao Han Yu's hair/clothing were just a bit too much like a Japanese anime if you know what I mean. And the car...geez. But the chemistry between the 2 MLs is working!
Episode 3 is now available to watch on Amazon Prime. I'm not sure about this series yet. It's a bit too convoluted and trying to remember what happened the previous episode is becoming too much for this old brain. I think I'll wait for the rest of the series to drop to watch. It is a pretty cool idea and the devil/acma CGI isn't too bad. Some of the acting is typical Japanese over-the-top anime style but I still like it. Shotaro Mamiya is great in this, of course!
