I will stick with it for now. I love Wang Ziqi! 🥰 (To me, The Love You Give Me is the most perfect light-hearted family drama ever. I watch it whenever I need a pick me up. The 3 of them feel like a real family; mother, father, son. I want to see them doing lots of series together! I can see them becoming a franchise, doing lots of series, movies, commercials...they are so adorable together. (The other 2 couples are simply dreadful! Fast forward over them! Whoever thought those 4 would be a good fit was smoking an illegal substance 😂)) I really like Lu Yuxiao too. I guess I just really like have a FL that is not a toddler. Usually. Except for the 'my silver' scene 🤣 So yeah, I'll stick around for now.😂 Oh and check out Wang Ziqi in The Embers. And a fun little romp called Game for Peace. episode 6. The suspend disbelief function in my brain has almost reached it's limits. 🤯 1. The noble family takes an unknown commoner (that's all they know about her) off the streets to be a reader for their psycho daughter to try and get to the bottom as to why she's torturing and killing small pets and acting out. Ok, sure... 😏 2. Said unknown commoner has free reign to pretty much do and say whatever she wants to and to whoever she wants to say it. Ok, sure... 😏 3. They pay off the unknown commoner and tell her to leave they no longer need her services. She refuses to go saying she needs to get to the bottom of what's happening. Ok, sure... 😏 4. (Completely against character) FL starts acting like a 5 year old child whining to ML and 2ML about how she refuses to leave cause she needs to investigate 🙄 and whines and complains about 'My silver!' Ok, sure... 😏 5. Not to mention gorgeous noble 2ML has fallen for unknown (amnesiac) commoner because...why? Seriously? I love the actress but so far the character hasn't done anything to attract so much love. A lot of cringe but nothing to make him fall for her. (Oh lord that dancing in the rain! 🤮) I mean she is cute and all but so are all the women in the cast so far! Love at first sight? Ok, sure... 😏
That's just episode 6 in the first 9 minutes or so. If I started the list from the beginning....I had to get all that off my chest! 🤣
The BTS video of the sets and costumes and accessories on WeTV is incredible! I think these sets are some of my favorites out of all the c-dramas I've watched! Is there some sort of new law in China that says historical dramas, especially those starring Allen Ren, absolutely cannot have happy endings. They must all rip your heart out of your chest, piss you off, make you swear off ever watching another Allen Ren drama, ever!!!! 😱
First 5 episodes were entertaining. I do like Wang Ziqi's modern dramas. Not real fond of his helmet head in this one. Some guys look great with that style (Zhang Wanyi 💖) but most..🤷♀️
