Wow, that trailer looks amazing and violent and dark! This is just what I need to get out of this angsty everyone dies historical love stories that have been all the rage this year slump! 🥹 And dang, doesn't Ding Yuxi look like a baby in this? He looks so young when he's not all made up like his usual costume dramas. Adorable! 🥰
Fingers, eyes, ears, and toes crossed the drama keeps the novel's ending! I've been burned too many times this year, knowing that the story has a happy ending only to find the writers/directors of the drama changed it to a sad/bad/open/red umbrella ending
I am quite curious as well. I read the detailed synopsis of the novel (apparently it is quite long with lots of…
🤣 Maybe they will take turns dying and crying? Like he dies, she cries, then she dies and he cries?🤣 Woah, I found the english translation on mydramanovel.com. It has 523 chapters? 😱 Now I think I need to read it just to see what's what. 🤔https://mydramanovel.com/blossom/
Interesting trailer. No subtitles so I didn't quite understand what's happening. But it looks like the ML dies over and over and over and the FL just stands there and cries over and over and over. 🤣 hmm, might have to watch this one just to see what the heck is happening. I saw someone else mention that it doesn't seem to follow the novel at all so I guess I won't read it first. And yep, this doesn't look like it will be a HE at all!
Excellent review, and a good reason for me to take this one off my watch list. Thanks! And I have to say, this bit is just genius and oh so true: "We have the Thai BL factory releasing a bodice-ripper every other week, and at least the actors there know how to kiss. Taiwan releases a step-brother storyline once a month to titillate us, and KBL is ever at hand to give us the white-and-blue-jacket no-kiss-guaranteed school lunch once a season. "
I really want to watch this one but damn, the subtitles for youku (web, iphone, appletv) are so bad I can't follow the story! Fingers crossed someone else carries this show soon!🤞
I wish I had known before I finished it! I would have stopped and just used my imagination that they ended up together like they should have! (like Love Alarm season 2. Don't even get me started on that one 😭🤣)
I finally finished this one. I was watching it when it was being released, but for some reason I lost interest at episode 18 and just now picked it back up again. That was a good idea, it was more interesting this time. I like that there is a HE, but it's kinda funny, it's like they didn't know how to end it so they were all just standing around talking and talking and talking and then boom, end! 😂
Have you seen New Life Begins? It's all things cozy and feels like a warm hug. It's a few years old, so maybe…
I absolutely loved this series and watched it through them killing everyone (Shrimp!😭) and the FL knowing the ML is the one who shot her with the arrow. And then the FL's miraculous trek from the Gobi desert to snowy mountains somewhere. (Where the heck did that dead body come from that she stole the cloak from? Was it someone she knew? Did we miss part of the story here? Cause when you are in the mountains in a blizzard lost the chances of you finding a dead body to steal a cloak from are pretty slim). Anyhow, I watched until I saw the ML deny her and broke her heart all over again. I decided to pause until it finished airing cause I knew that there was a happy ending so I wouldn't subject myself to the sadness for long, since it was only temporary. Only to find hells no, no happy ending, everyone dies, FL wanders off by herself and gets old. The end. 🥹

Thank you for that recommendation! I haven't watched New Life Begins yet so I'm putting it on my watch list. 💐 Being American and a Disney fan I maybe could accept this explanation, except the shows I've been watching have happy endings in their novels. It's the dramas that hose up the ending! Why? Who knows.🤷 I know that dramas never 100% follow the novels they are based on, but when the novel has a wonderful happy ending you expect the drama will too. Or is that just me? After all the struggles and heartache and sweet moments either die together and see you in another lifetime or live forever with kids, cats, dogs and what not:)
Hey im sorry to bother you. Its just that i love this drama but its stressing me out with everyone treating the…
I know, me too! Her (now) ex and coworkers treat her so badly. Luckily you won't have to put up with the boyfriend for much longer. Episode 5 I think? Or maybe 6? Not too much longer. She finally does drop him. And even though she is still treated badly at work she now stands up for herself and has learned how to win despite the people that are doing their best to screw her over. Episode 7 is when she really starts coming into her own. But so far up to episode 12 and the coworkers are still trying to make her do the work and take all the credit. But she has learned so well to fight back! Keep with it, it keeps getting better. 😀
Hilariously bad? I'm loving it! From the beard and hair to the makeup session! 🤣 And Darren's FL voice is just awesome! Someone else commented on the sound issues. Yes, the music/background is really loud and the voices sometimes can't be heard over them. Kinda a bummer. I feel like this is a very very low budget series but I'm still loving it!
