At first, I didn’t think the series was bad, maybe because Park Bo Young was the lead and it focused on movie enthusiasts, which I relate to. I enjoyed it until the last two episodes, but the story felt shallow. While I could relate to Mu Bi's feelings of regret and hatred from childhood neglect, it became repetitive in the final episodes. I appreciated how the show depicted life after losing someone and the idea of living for others despite having no will to live. However, the story was weak, and I wasn’t invested in the second couple. The lack of communication between them over seven years felt unrealistic, and I didn’t care whether they ended up together.
What I really enjoyed was Gyeom’s love for movies, how it healed him, and the strong supporting characters, especially Gyeom’s brother. His story was the best part, and although it could have been explored more, it left a significant impact. Unfortunately, everything else, including the chemistry between the leads, felt lacking. Nonetheless, it was still nice to watch something I could truly relate to...the love for movies.
It's rare to see a C-drama where the ml isn't always saving the fl or being overly attentive, as if he can't live a day without interacting with her, lmao. Although I've been wanting the ml to fall in love already, I'm also happy with how unique he is in this drama compared to others.
My only complaint is that I shouldn't watch this while it's airing because I want to binge all the episodes now.
