I can see why the rating is high. It was a great drama with so many wonderful characters. A fantastic story, not just about people who are gifted and possess unique abilities, but also about parents who are willing to risk their lives to protect their children.

My only complaint about this drama is that there were too many flashbacks, although I do recognize their importance. I just think they could have used some scenes to enhance the last few episodes, as things happened too quickly. There’s a feeling in this drama where some parts seem slow, while others feel rushed. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it and still find myself missing the characters.

It has a great balance of romance, action, and the supernatural. I found myself amazed at how the characters used their abilities to fight the villains. Speaking of the villains, I cried so much for them. I was literally sobbing while ranting, wondering why they had to show the side stories of the Northern people, as I was hoping for them to stay alive and not be defeated. My heart still aches because of them. They deserved so much better!

question - so the first 10 eps focus on the parents and the rest 10 eps on the kids? also it's procedural right?
Nope, at first, they focus on the present, which is the kids in highschool, and then each episode tackles the stories of the parents and other important characters. There are a lot of flashbacks.

You just answered your own question. Studios strive to prevent situations where the 2nd couple outshines the leads.…
You must be right, but I'm still grateful that K-dramas these days are consistently featuring second couples because they do a great job of making the drama more interesting and adding extra flavor. In fact, most of the K-dramas I've watched recently have had second couples that I adored.

As much as I enjoyed the drama, I still think it's overrated and overhyped.

Both couples had great chemistry, but I really loved the second couple because I adored both their chemistry and their characters. Some of the plot twists were predictable, while others were surprising. However, I honestly expected more from the villain because, from the very start, he seemed so stupid and unserious to me. Am I supposed to take him seriously or not? I don't know, lmao. It's a great show to binge, and I'm glad I didn’t watch it while it was airing.

As for the last episode, I was literally laughing out loud because why did we suddenly get a military/war theme in the story? LMAO. Some of the scenes were cringe-worthy and unrealistic. I think it would have been better if they had ended it without him disappearing because him being threatened and being part of that family was already a punishment. It felt more like a punishment for the girl than for him. I still think that, even though they included a lot of plot twists, the execution was a bit off. But anyway, I will miss the four main leads, especially the dzaddies. 🥰

It's a crime that the second couple had so few scenes because their chemistry was so great that I wouldn't mind seeing them in a new drama together.

I don't know why I watched this, knowing that season 1 wasn't even that great. But this season? Wow, what a waste of time. Give me back my 7 hours! I was even happy at first because the characters here are better than in season 1. It's like they created this season not to solve anything, but just for money.

This is a great drama to watch before the new year starts. You might be confused at first. I even got confused to the point that I couldn't remember some of their roles. They also had a peculiar way of cutting some important scenes, lol.

Also, if you're easily scared, the first three episodes might be difficult to watch. But everything will become clearer and make more sense after 3-4 episodes. Instead of being scared, you'll likely cry a lot. I couldn't stop myself from bawling huhu, especially during the last few episodes. It was too short for such a great drama. I wish it was longer than 8 episodes.

oh girlllll. continue watching. they're annoying but they surely do add spice to this series.. that's what makes…
Don't worry. I'm just ranting haha. I won't drop the drama just because of them. I'm not even at the exciting part yet.

There are so many annoying characters, and I'm only on episode 11, especially that wife and that uncle. That uncle has been annoying from the start. I can't even count how many times I've rolled my eyes and cursed at these characters whenever they do something.

Park Shin Hye is indeed a great actress, and she once again showcased her skills in this drama. Her expressions were on point! However, I strongly believe that she was the only one who made this drama better. The cases weren't as interesting as those in other dramas; in fact, they were underwhelming. It was a good drama to pass the time, but not worthy of its rating. Still, I had a great time, especially since it had a happy ending for everyone.

The romance in the original is also sudden, but it takes more time to show the audience how the FL struggles with…
I see. I'll probably watch the original when I'm free to understand everything better.

I agree, we can see SanHa's feelings developing, and that he liked her a long time. Bur what about JuWon? She…
I agree. They only showed that she adored him when they were still kids, but you can't differentiate her actions as a younger sister wanting to have a brother. That's why it's awkward to watch. Setting aside the fact that they're not related by blood and there’s no significant age gap, the timing and everything else are just off.

Maybe it's just me, but I think San Ha and Ju Won would have been better off staying in a sibling relationship. Perhaps it's because this is an adaptation and everything happened more quickly than in the original, but their romance felt soooo sudden and awkward. In my opinion, the second couple did a great job of delivering a wonderful romance in this drama.

I feel like they could have done better by casting different actors for both the female lead and male lead.
