After watching 2 episodes, it's pretty ok. It took me about half an episode to get used to the new cast. The style is a bit different, more similar to Douluo Dalu than to the first season, but the character of the drama is maintained. HLL gives a good performance as XY. He is not an outstanding actor, but for this type of production and title, he is definitely enough. I think teenage boys will have a great time on this drama and they are the target audience. P.S. I am evaluating the series as a serial not a screen adaptation. My only reference is season 1
I saw a video when wyb said xiao zhan is photogenic. Before I know him and saw his picture I was like why this…
He, he, he :) For me, XZ has always been a 6.5. The kind of boy next door you fall in love with as a 14 year old. But as on stage or for a role XZ turns into someone unimaginably beautiful. The face is seemingly the same (although the make-up, hairstyle and even greater or lesser thinness do their part) but completely different and originally beautiful every time. So real and full of sincerity. His eyes are like two boundless galaxies filled with the light of millions of stars. When you look at him in a role, he brings out the greatest, deepest light from the heart and soul of the character he is playing and takes on such an incredible glow that it is actually hard to resist. In every role I've seen him in (I haven't seen all of them) I gain faith that there are people with beautiful hearts. Maybe it's better that he doesn't play a villain because people will start loving bad people? ;)
I think this is more than a rumor though🤔 Like the director has already visited XZ on the set of his currently…
I don't know where people get this information. The fact that he was in Hangdian at the same time does not mean anything, because several crews are currently filming in this city, and he could also have come to discuss the details of renting a set, dates, or choosing the most appropriate set for a given scene.
I don't know why he went there. I didn't talk to the director. Those who show these rumors didn't do it either. And people write whatever their imagination brings them to get more publicity and more money for their posts.
There's been no other name for male protagonist except XZ from the beginning and the sets have started building…
Real life fanfics are not part of a healthy fandom. It's the unhealthy fantasies of kids who think they own an actor/actress just because they paid to watch a drama/film. It's a lack of respect for the actor/actress who aren't seen as people just as things the 'fan' can do what they want with.
I know that the younger generation in their twenties no longer understands what basic human rights are, that freedom of speech should never violate someone's dignity and was created so that journalists could expose the crimes of politicians. I know that the new generation thinks they have the right to say even the biggest insults and they go ballistic when someone says one word of criticism against them. I know that selfishness and egocentrism are now a core value for young people but for God's sake, this is sick. If someone demands respect for themselves, let them show similar respect to others. If you don't want to be the star of a pornographic story, don't make a real existing human being one. If you must write erotic fantasies full of violence, queer and underage, at least make up original names for your characters and don't prey on real people.
A true fan will never do something offensive to a person he likes and admires. If he writes disgusting texts damaging to the idol, he is not a fan and is excluded from the community. Simple. So fans can be controlled. You can't control people who are delusional and disrespectful to the artist, but they are not fans. They only think of themselves that way in their delusions.
Is there any chance this will show in international cinemas? Not really familiar with the movie circle in china…
Yes, it is. About 20-30 years ago some Chinese films were very popular in the West, then this stopped and China showed films mainly in Asia. In most Asian countries this film will be available without difficulty. It will also be in at least a few cinemas in the States and Canada, as many Chinese new films are shown there. This production may aim higher and try to enter a wider market. They may want to try to re-establish themselves in the Western film market.
I hope XZ will play with talented actresses, not pretty faces with no talent and fans for whom the only value…
My 5 years of playing with c-ent tells me otherwise. The prettier an actress pretends to be, the more stupid, superficial and toxic fans she has, because only such fans can worship someone not for talent but for beauty. By the way, there is capital behind every pretty actress in c-ent, otherwise she would not get any significant role. Pretty faces without talent are simply too many in China. If a pretty face is not supported by talent, she must be supported by something else ;) Sorry if I offended an actress whose face you are a fan of.
Why are you here spewing all your lies?? The Untamed is a Gay censorship drama!!!! With the cover of it being…
OMG, another CP fanatic. I wrote that during the shooting of dramas the scripts change and I was called a toxic solo fanatic. For goodness sake, start distinguishing reality from fiction.
The Untamed was a story that, yes, BL, very much liked the producer, but due to the fanatical real CP, who totally bounced back after "Addicted" (2016) China began to have problems with the filming of BL. For this reason, it was decided to rewrite the story so that the censors would have nothing to attach to it. FL was inserted for this very reason. But hysterical (totally you) fans of the book started to harass the actress and blackmail the production (you admitted it yourself) so the production relented. XZ hadn't read the book and didn't know at first that it was based on BL. Anyway, he tried for a completely different role, which both he and the production admitted. And yes, his WWX is excellent, which doesn't change the fact that during production there were major changes in the script and none of the actors had anything to say, which was the subject of my comment.
And for your information, I have been writing BL for seven years, and have been publishing my BL professionally for three years on Webnovel, which is owned by Tencent, which filmed The Untamed. Professionally, meaning I have contracts and make money. So I'm not anti BL. I am anti idiots who believe the lies they want to believe because they are too stupid to sift fact from rumor. I am not pointing the finger at anyone. However, I ask you not to spread lies about 227, because all CP fans notoriously refuse to acknowledge facts and the truth, their brains rotted from bloody sugar. And since I don't consider myself a fan of any actor, I dare say, "child, start distinguishing reality from fiction and don't believe everything the big CP fans tell you, because one day you'll start flying over the cuckoo's nest" (look it up for yourself if you don't know what that means).
I've blocked you from now on, you can flood me with your delusions and I won't read any of them anyway. Three years have passed and CP are still so stupid, vindictive and pathetic. Unbelievable...
Ah yes, a fake account, clearly serving someone to sow confusion with impunity. Such a fan of The Untamed, and not even tempted to mark the drama as watched. Oy, oy... Pathetic, truly, pathetic :(
Three views, people, three views. Do you still remember what it is, or maybe you are too young? The year 2020 and the xiao fei xia doctrine. For those who don't remember, or haven't heard, let me explain: there are three points of view - mine, yours and the person on the side. Everyone has the right to like/dislike what and who they want. Everyone has the right to express their opinion. Only when expressing your opinion, try to tone down your emotions and consider whether the way you express it will offend someone.
Regarding the script and subsequent revisions, did you hear that The Untamed was originally going to have FL? XZ signed a drama contract with FL. Unfortunately, a certain group blackmailed the production and the script was changed when shooting was already advanced. Script changes are common if not universal not only in China. Sometimes several different scenes are even shot and then the director and producers choose the one they think best suits their purposes. The actor doesn't have much say here because if he interferes too much, he can get unpleasantness. And placing uncool or stupid characters often serves as a contrast and to emphasize the positive values of the main characters, which would be less clear without it.
I don't even watch this drama because it bored and annoyed me in the first episode, but that doesn't mean that others shouldn't like it either. Some people listen to rock, others to jazz, others to opera and still others to troth. De gustibus non est disputandum. Therefore, let's try to respect each other as human beings and express our opinions without unnecessary emotions. Let's each enjoy what we can.
The day people discover that they can stan their favourite actor without bashing another person is the day we…
If several people misunderstand your comment, maybe you should choose your words better? It saves everyone's nerves. If you had read my comment carefully, you would have known what I was talking about. I would add that the automatic translator does not always translate everything correctly.
The day people discover that they can stan their favourite actor without bashing another person is the day we…
When you write "FL acting," you imply that you mean how the actress plays, not how the female lead character behaves. To avoid misunderstandings, I suggest you clearly indicate "FL behaves". I know that acting is used correctly here, but acting mainly refers to the actor playing her role. And if it's me who misunderstands you and you can't tell the difference between an actress and a character, then maybe you should stop watching TV series, because it will only hurt you. Really your comment is a bit too confusing to read clearly.
When Shen Yang said 'Happy Wife Happy Life' in 'Sunshine By My Side', it reminded me of Xiao Zhan in Marvelous…
Both are Chongqing highlanders :)

Strange is this review, it looks exactly like a synopsis copied from some web site. With all due respect, is this how a review should look like? Does it follow the MDL guidelines? Or maybe it's a blitz to give the drama high ratings, although after watching 1 episode to give the whole thing a 10/10 is a slight exaggeration. Seriously, after such actions on the part of fans, don't be surprised that someone else after watching 1 episode will say that this drama is a 1/10, because I guess a lower score can't be given on this site. I understand fan fervor, but seriously such a rating at such a time and such a "review"?
Always save the world. If you save the person you love and don't save the world, where will you live? You won't…
I remind you that the original question was "Save the world or save the one you love" and I am not entering into a discussion about the essence of love in general. To all those who support the idea of "save the one you love", I wish that they find themselves in this gray non-romantic plane "world" and with a smile on their lips continue to praise the idea of "save the one you love". :) No idealistic quibbles about the love of the fatherland, a cousin or a flower will not change my worldview that in "Save the world or save the one you love" the choice should always be on the side of "save the world". And if your personality (or anyone's) tells you to sacrifice the world to save the one you love, then I hope we never cross our paths, because I have no desire to die :) Oh, and by the way, if someone saved me at the expense of others, I would never forgive that person. I would be afraid of a person who, for his own tastes, would watch the world perish with the power to save that world. This is, of course, my own opinion and last comment on this topic :)
Always save the world. If you save the person you love and don't save the world, where will you live? You won't…
But only if you think that your love is more important than every person in the world, because after all, they also have their love, their parents, their children.... Forgive me, but isn't saving your love at the expense of the lives of others an example of supreme selfishness? If so, isn't what you feel for this person by any chance obsession and arrogance not true love? True love never demands sacrifices of others. The only person you can sacrifice for love is yourself.
P.S. I am evaluating the series as a serial not a screen adaptation. My only reference is season 1

In my country, if someone mistook an actor for the character they were playing, they were always ridiculed. People need to be able to distinguish between fiction and reality and the vast majority of real life fan fiction fans cannot do that. That's why it's not healthy. When an actor gets married and gets threats because he 'betrayed' the fantasies of 'fans' about his affair with another actor, that's not healthy. When an actor can't give birthday wishes to his fiancée because he dispels the fantasies of 'fans' about their imaginary CP it is not healthy. And with all due respect human dignity is a basic human right enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights ratified by most countries in the world, Fan fiction that turns real people into porn stars involving minors is not innocent fun, it is not paying respect to likeable actors, it is a sick fantasy that harms the basic dignity of the person being described. And no one will convince me that the author's freedom of expression is more important than human dignity, because spreading illegal pornography involving minors is not freedom of expression but a criminal act. You want to write fan fiction about a beloved actor/actress, write that he or she is coming to shoot a film in your town or visiting school friends and you accidentally bump into him or her. Don't make him a porn star.
I know that the younger generation in their twenties no longer understands what basic human rights are, that freedom of speech should never violate someone's dignity and was created so that journalists could expose the crimes of politicians. Still 9/10, no, I'm changing the rating. 9,5/10
