I'm thinking of quitting this drama. I don't feel like watching characters I've grown fond of die one by one, and that's what I'm expecting for the last eight episodes. I really don't need to cry my eyes out.

I seriously don't understand what people mean by this: "I hope he gets a big project". Are you guys hoping for a tragedy the size of Titanic? What's with your mania for greatness and what is a big project?
Douluo Dalu was a big project based on a big IP. The production quality for c-ent terms is excellent.
Ace Troops was a very big project in the military drama genre. There were a lot of people involved in the project, big names in production, and the drama had a big enough momentum that you don't even see in Hollywood productions. Great F/X.
TLP is the most S+ of the possible S+. When I got acquainted with the achievements of some of the creators of this drama - really impressive portfolio. I recommend checking it out. TLP is probably the most expensive Tencent project of last year.

Rather yes, but with elements of science fiction and comedy and with less emphasis on the typical wuxia elements. Instead, there is some politics and court intrigue. In my opinion it is a neat hybrid between many genres, not pure wuxia, but it has quite a few elements of that genre and they are well done.

When you write books or make films, you assume a certain audience - an age group, a gender, sometimes even an education. For example, most women prefer xianxia to wuxia and most men prefer wuxia to xianxia. Most men prefer crime fiction and most women prefer romance. This is not to say that everyone does. I personally prefer wuxia and crime stories and I know men who prefer xianxia and romance. I don't see anything strange about that. It's just that women are more willing to express their opinion in the comments. I just have a strong impression that this drama is especially liked by women. Thanks for the clarification. As a matter of fact, over a year ago I fought intensely to have rumours removed next to one name and learned to argue my case. "The source of the information (Douban) is not an official or reliable source of information. The official drama website does not list the cast." You can include the Weibo page of this drama as it already exists in this situation. Sometimes I also used harsh words on the principle that MDL loses its credibility by posting unconfirmed information etc. It's even better when several people ask for a change. You can call for action on the actor's topic. Of course no one on MDL verifies the veracity of the information. If a few people ask for a change and you put information in the drama topic asking people to only give information from reliable sources and that Douban is not one, it will eventually bear fruit.
Actually very few actors have a tidy account because there are people who love to have achievements and post every rumour they can find. If fans don't keep a sharp eye on this, it will be free American again. So a lot of accounts could use a cleaning. I wrote here because I was only interested in GJ these days. I don't follow his career, but I wanted to see what he's currently working on and I found a whole bunch of rumours. This information chaos is not good for the credibility of your star. Verify the information on the official drama sites, don't rely on Douban because it's not an official or reliable media. You may like that so many dramas are by his name, but people who need reliable information on short notice only see unrealistic rumours. It really doesn't look good from a c-ent oriented passerby's point of view.
