I picked up this drama on-hold. I watched the first season a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but I think it might be different now. Now I know a little more about psychology, especially criminal psychology, and watching the second season I can see how naive, how outdated the knowledge of it is. It put me off.

Someday we will see which rumor was true. Although I think now every production with XZ has a high budget because his name alone will attract investors ;)
There is a rumor that a famous director Zhang Yimou have lunch with Xiao Zhan, his manager and the investors for…
I would support a sci-fi movie. I know XZ likes this genre (I don't know if he's a fan, but he once recommended "Three Body Problem") so he would have fun shooting something like this. Besides, it would be something completely new than before. But actually every new movie rumor talks about an interesting role, so which one of these rumors wouldn't turn out to be true, I'm rubbing my hands with joy :)
Before I got to know Xiao Zhan I saw half of his drama The Wolf.😅
If only half, then you probably didn't have the best experience with this drama. Personally, I think the second half, the one where there's more XZ, is better :). XZ is one of the few actors to act in a wide variety of dramas, genres and types, so even if a certain title isn't to your liking, you can always watch another one. I saw him for the first time in 2018 on FBS and while I didn't become a fan, I really regretted that he's not ML and has so little screen time. He was so good, I wouldn't have thought it was the second role of a total amateur :)
Rurouni kenshin has - I think - 4 movies. My recommendation is to watch the last one, which is called "The beginning"…
Thank you, I have watched them all. I have a great fondness for the Shinsengumi. But I also have a weakness for guys in coats running around with katanas, like Duncan McLoud in "Highlander".
j-dramas are quite specific. I've gotten a little unaccustomed to their style. But I like the fight scenes here, definitely better than in the best c-dramas. It's a completely different style and I missed it. I'm just switching over to j-dramas, so if anyone knows something similar in style - realistic fight scenes in the modern world, I'll ask for a recommendation.

Thanks, I probably will. For now though, like you, I'm waiting for something interesting to happen. And besides, I currently have a little too much free time and not enough drama with XZ. I wrote about SSA in another comment in your topic.

Fang Tienze was a very cool played arrogant millionaire kid who nevertheless had complexes and a good heart. The humor in SSA was idiotic, but relaxing. It was just a silly comedy and I had a great time watching it, especially since it was the third XZ drama for me. Romantic comedies are not my genre, but a few really made me laugh, moved me, and I rated them highly. Despite all my respect for XZ I think Gu Wei is the worst role he's played. I refrain from saying it's the actor's fault. It's the script that doesn't give him scenes where the actor can show his talent. GW is bland to me. He doesn't give me anything to look at, which is disappointing considering how phenomenal XZ's acting is. XZ as Gu Wei is like having Mozart compose a wedding chant - a waste of talent. TOoL tells a simple story, completely disconnected from the real world and lacking depth, of a romance between a dumb college student and a lifeless adult man. It is this depth that I find lacking. Even a banal story can be shown with a depth of logic and aesthetic beauty or with humor, but I'm probably defective because I can't see it in the scene with the tampons :( And sorry for being weird. During my text criticism classes, I always had a different opinion than the rest of the class and noticed something in the text that others didn't. Still, I passed with the highest grade and maybe that's why I'm bold enough to say when I don't like something and why. And if you know my comments, you probably know that some people attack me for having a different opinion, so now I write each comment knowing that someone will immediately start calling me a troll, and this, incidentally, builds a defensive reaction, which in my case is passive aggressive. For me, MDL is no longer a place for pleasant chats about drama or actors but a place where someone can attack me at any time because I wrote something they don't like.
I'd like to know if anyone is actually really unimpressed with this drama and even...annoyed. Don't get me wrong,…
I watched 5 episodes and I'm not disappointed because I wasn't expecting anything good. The script is bland. The characters make no sense. They are just stereotypes written for fans whose only requirement is to see their idol. The editing is terrible, the dialogues are boring and FL is just unbearable. Sorry, this is just a very average drama like thousands of others with the only difference being that it stars YZ and XZ so it's incredibly popular and fans of the actors really love this drama but after the fifth episode I don't have anything good to say about it. I kept quiet for fear of being attacked by raging fans, but I won't be intimidated. TOoL is just weak and that's my opinion. These actors are worthy of better scripts. P.S. A more idiotic way to deal with s PTSD or other disorder made by trauma I have not seen. Such naive tales are only possible in Chinese romances.
It's watchable, but I've seen better. I'm waiting for the next episode, but it won't be a tragedy for me if I miss its premiere. I don't even know what days it airs. It's ok, but no fireworks.
He is typical of serious guy. He likes lin zhi xiao but he has shame also. Forgive me to answer your comment because…
No problem. I just know how unpopular my opinion is and that some people have a hard time dealing with the fact that someone doesn't like what they like, so I want to avoid heavy accusations and being a troll.
I am after three episodes. I like how unromantic GW is. That's the only good thing I have to say about this drama. Thank you to everyone who ignores my comment.
