As for your second question, I think he does know that FL knows/recognises him as XL cuz he says something like ‘I can be what you want me to be’ and when FL first interacted with FFB, she spoke to him with a sense of familiarity - the manner she spoke to XL with but then he told her she was mistaken. FL was very sceptical cuz even though the personalities were different, she had this sense of familiarity and so she got Xuan to investigate FFB history. Then she received a file about FFB history from birth to childhood to adult. And basically FFB would go missing for months or years but come back. He was rather poor, would gamble and lose his money, was not that important in the family. And for a period of time he went missing and came back and took care of his sick mother for 4 years. And since then he would go MIA and come back. So FL pieced it together that when he would go missing as FFB, he is Xiang Liu who is at the battle field. His identity gets fully confirmed after one day not long after she reads the file about FFB, in the residence she was living at (her grandfather - Yellow Emperor’s) there was someone who came through her window and was injured. It was FFB, he basically stole a map and came to her room to hide. He was injured and cuz she was his best medicine, she needed her blood. She offered her wrist instead of her neck cuz she was now a woman. But at that moment XL knew that Xiao Yao fully knew he was Xiang Liu even if before she had her suspicions. He came clean to her. She knows his XL underneath FFB appearance and they basically hang out a lot together. As for collaborating to kill Xuan, idk which situation your referring too. If your referring to the event where Xiao Liu was connected to Xuan with a poisonous bug and plotting to kill him, he was Xiang Liu with white hair. If you are talking about when Xuan gets humiliated and basically gets bullied by Feng Yi Yang and FFB holding an arrow to shoot at Xuan, then he was using FFB. Anything with black hair is FFB and white hair is XL but if FL and XL are alone together, no matter whether the appearance is FFB or XL, he acts like himself which is a mixture of FFB and XL.

She ends up with TSJ. I read the novel a long time ago so her identity is complicated, I don’t want to give you that information cuz it’s muddled up.

So, FFB is the second son of the clan (his mother was the concubine) so he’s not treated the same as his other siblings, he holds no power or influence. One could describe him as free spirited, away from any sort of political warfare or power struggle. He basically dies when he is an adolescent and is devoured by Xiang Liu. Cuz FFB would go missing from time to time, his family didn’t suspect anything. As for the face, it is Xiang Liu’s face. FFB was once injured and needed surgery, plus he was adolescent so naturally one thought he just grew up and his face was always like that. Xiang Liu took over FFB place (400 years) and took care of FFB mother (4 years) so no one really ever doubted him. Only Xiao Liu and TSJ saw his face behind the mask (I’m talking about white haired XL) and so when Xiao Liu meets FFB (he has dark hair) she recognised him as XL but he pretends he doesn’t know her and acts differently to Xiang Liu so Xiao Liu thinks she might’ve mistaken him. TSJ also recognises the face but because FFB doesn’t act like XL, he’s also sceptical. No other person saw Xiang Liu so they don’t connect the dot that he’s also FFB. So Xiang Liu is not born into the clan, he just took the position of FFB. No one knows he’s a demon apart from Xiao Liu. [sorry for the long winded comment but wanted to give you an in dept explanation]

well, idk if you would like a major spoiler but what I’m going to say for now (and if you wish for me to elaborate do reply) he has 2 identities that only Xiao Liu knows.

No, she actually truly loves TSJ and maybe Xiang Liu too. She loves all three but different ways. Xuan as family. TSJ romantically and Xiang too (he’s like her confidant) but not as much as TSJ.

I do not want to spoil too much so read at your own discretion:

XY does get a happy ending and it’s not with the main ML (xuan). She ends up with TSJ. The pregnancy part is a big misunderstanding and as for Xuan killing TSJ, I think Xiang Liu saves him but FL doesn’t know it at that moment. Xuan loves FL, but she only loves him as a brother/relative (not romantically). His greed for power destroys any chance of them ever being together, not to mention the abuse he inflicted towards her (hence the title ‘lost you forever’ as he loses her). Xiang Liu is her soulmate/silent protector, he will protect her with or without her knowledge. He makes sure she is happy even if it is without him. He also has his army that he cares about. TSJ is her devoted bf, he loves her unconditionally. Never abused her and willing to sacrifice everything for her.

Deng Wei must really be on cloud 9 right now. He has 2 HIT dramas (TTEOM) under his belt in the same year. TTEOM broke shit ton of records and I can already assume LYF going to do the same. This year we really been blessed with loads of amazing cdramas.

It truly is a task deciphering the subtitles. Ep 19 and 20 did not have subs so had to use google translate and now today I have subs and it’s a task. I don’t know whether I’m watching a show or in a language class.

it’s the first time since TTEOM which is the only other drama that I have not skipped scenes and thoroughly enjoying it. I know the pain I’m going to be in to wait for the second part. I could not resist, even though I’m watching loads of other dramas at the same time.

Yes it is very repetitive. The lack of progression does make me worry that everything will be rushed at the end, like we are half way in and the same damn thing happens in every episode. I would’ve been fine with it if it was 60 ep drama but this has 39 eps.

Yh I can never take MangoTV subs seriously as well as the actual platform itself. They can produce good shows but with weird subs it can be difficult to enjoy it. It’s the same as watching the shows raw.

why did the rank go down? I do however get that hype can kill the enjoyment though. But it’s deffo worth the hype imo. And the rank needs to go back to 9.2.

Is there going to be a second part to this? Idk whether to start watching this then having to wait for the second part.

I’m reading the comments and I’m seeing a lot of complaints about fake dzy and honestly I kinda agree. I like the drama but it doesn’t give me the thrill of wanting to watch more eps, it kinda came to a point where I’m like “yep let’s hope tmrw’s ep progresses the arc quickly” cuz it’s actually quite draggy. I normally would not complain about lack of screentime of the leads cuz I understand that there needs to be other characters time to shine but those characters like fake dzy don’t add value to the ep. I’m still going to continue cuz there’s a lot of good things about the show and praying that there’s fast progression cuz it’s taken 4-5 eps (counting next two eps) for HY to realise something wrong with with DCE.

How many eps we getting tmrw? 1? Is there an updated schedule cuz YOUKU only released up until 17.

is it me but I’ve never seen a FL kiss anyone other than the ML in cdramas. Like I’ve seen FL and 2ML hug or kiss on the forehead but never actual kiss. Is it to do with censorship or just my imagination.
