She was living in the residence with Xing Yue (the 4th ML Feng Long’s sister). Xing Yue was invited to an event and persuaded Xiao Yao to go even though XY doesn’t care about it but she went to please her. Both Xing Yue and Xiao didn’t know it was an event to lure Xiao Yao in to assassinate her. Xing Yue and XY split up for some reason and she ends up in a maze. She basically gets trapped in a kill maze by one of her enemies (the last survivor of Mu family) who wants retribution for the annihilation of the Mu family bloodline. Her mom and her biological dad Qi Yo (war general) massacred the Mu Family so as a result the last standing survivor wants her blood. He along with 2 others set a kill maze and trapped her. Cuz she has weak powers, she couldn’t defend herself. They hang her up and slice her arms and legs. They slice up her bodies and use the surrounding trees (there were loads of peach blossom trees) transformed into daggers and pierced through her whole body. It was quite visceral.

Extra Spoiler:
All the ML sensed something was wrong. Xiang Liu felt the pain through the poisonous bug that connects him to XY. Jing out of nowhere starts thinking about XY despite him dealing with clan matters and his satchel which was given to him by XY suddenly falls from his waist to the floor, giving him an ominous feeling that something is wrong with XY. Xuan feels in his heart that something is with XY. All 3 rush to find XY. Jing gets there first and sees XY hanging in a horrible state. She holds her but she already “dead”. The maze goes up in flames and Jing uses his powers to protect her from the fire, being burnt in the process. Xuan comes second after searching for XY. He wanted to go into the maze but was stopped and his guards went on his behalf as he was the prince and could not risk him going there. They bring both out, Jing is passed out whereas XY injuries were too gruesome that she would be considered dead. Many doctors (best doctors they could find) presumed her dead or say they do not have the skills to revive her. Xiang Liu finally arrives (he was travelling from one territory to the other hence he was late) but he struck a deal with Xuan that he can revive her. He spends 37+ (can’t remember the exact number of years) healing her, giving her his blood on full moon when his power is the strongest. Jing on the other hand has been is coma since passing out, he is not injured physically but mentally he was heavily injured. He was giving up on life and was going to die of broken heart.

Nope. He doesn’t die. They both come close to death but thank Xiang Liu, their biggest matchmaker and saver.

She actually stayed by his side throughout the whole novel.

She does get revenge on CX, I wouldn’t call it a revenge but rather compensation. Her revenge is poisoning him. He is aware of the fact that she is poisoning him because they eat the poisonous “flowers” together, he accepts it and eats it thinking they will die together. However, she poisons him enough to keep him still alive whilst enough to kill her.

TSJ never touches his wife. She has a secret affait with Jing’s brother Hou and gets pregnant. She drugs Jing so he doesn’t know if he slept with her or not. The child is his brothers.

I can’t remember if that scene is when XY dies, I thought she throws up blood after Jing’s whole pregnancy misunderstanding. But IDK, I need to look back at the trailer again.

Edit: Looked back, her death is absolutely grim. Choking blood is nothing compared to what happens to her. She is absolutely tortured before her death.

I have not seen anyone on his team lmfao. I’ve seen more ppl struggling to choose between two men than be on his team.

I am thoroughly enjoying Xuan’s suffering 😂

@7450514 Please take this with some grain of salt cuz there is a lot that happened in 14 episodes and so summarising and keep it concise is very difficult. There is a lot of details that I missed out on, but I tried my best giving you the most important things that happened. I will edit it or add comment if something comes to my mind but for now this is all I have:

The FL, Xiao Yao is the princess of Gao Xing. She is the granddaughter of the Yellow Emperor and the ‘daughter’ of the White Emperor of Xi Yan. She loses her identity and her true appearance.

The story starts off with two children (FL and ML Xuan) who were best of friends/siblings. They loved each other but due to war and conflict, their parents died and they were separated. The FL goes missing.

Then the story starts off at present time in Qunshui Town (a territory not part of conflict/ power struggle, no rulers, people rule by themselves). The FL is in a form of a man, she is a doctor in a small clinic in town. Everyone knows her as a man. She takes care of 3 other people and so her job (as a doctor) is to earn money to feed the family.

She goes to the river as usual to wash up her plates and there she sees a beggar lying in the bush, all beaten up, messy and unrecognisable. She rescues him (who is the SML Shi Qi or Tu Shan Jing - the future Tu Shan clan brother - the most prominent clan out of every clan out there). He is at this point badly beaten up and on the brink of death. She basically takes care of him until he gradually heals up (6 months of feeding him medicine, to washing his hair etc.). One day he was supposed to wash up and needed undressing, Xiao Liu blushed which led Shi Qi to realise that the FL was a woman. She gives his name Shi Qi (17), not knowing his real identity.

One of the adopted person that Xiao Liu was taking care of needed to get married and needed a sufficient dowry and since they were poor, to collect the dowry it would take years which they didn’t have. The only way to earn that dowry is to find rare herbs in the mountain in Chen Rong territory, it is heard that there lives a ruthless General (Xiang Liu) who if you cross path with would lead to your death. Xiao Liu didn’t care as the dowry was important. She set off early in the morning and realised that Shi Qi was following her behind. They set off together until they reach Chen Rong territory where she parts with Shi Qi for a bit, she then encounters a white haired man (Xiang Liu) who is nine-headed demon. Their encounter is not pleasant, he in fact has her whipped and beaten up. Meanwhile Shi Qi was able to find rare herbs. After they reunited, shi qi helps Xiao Liu heal. They had enough money for a dowry and gets the person married off.

The story then focuses on the ML, who arrives with his sister (princess who is bratty and arrogant) and maid to Qinshui Town. They open up a wine shop across the clinic. He is the Prince Qiang Xuan→ Cang Xuan who had been searching for the FL but many say she died. Their encounter is not pleasant, he abuses her a lot. First time was when Xiao Liu poisons the bratty princess cuz she beat up one of Xiao Liu’s people and Xuan came for the antidote which he forced it out of her. Second time when Xiao Liu kidnaps the princess with Xiang Liu and he breaks her legs. Shi Qi helps her heal and stays by her side. Xiang Liu also uses her by drinking her blood for the neck (as her blood is the best medicine for him).

Shi qi goes to a shop with Xiao Liu, unknown of the fact that it was owned by Tu Shan Clan. He gets recognised and his identity gets revealed. Xiao Liu finds out who he is. Shi Qi didn’t want that because she enjoyed being Shi Qi, not TSJ who had the weight of the whole clan on his hand.

[Xiao Liu learnt to create all sorts of medicines and poisons through the teachings from Royal Mother (her teacher) before she went missing, she knows her identity but pretends not to to keep her self safe]

Xiao Liu creates a poisonous bug in Xuan which connect him with her so when she suffers, so does he. It was a way to prevent him from abusing her. Xiang Liu uses that to inflict pain onto Xuan through Xiao Liu, almost killing Xuan but FL saves him which pisses Xiang Liu off. Xiao Liu tells Xuan to leave town as he’s not safe and he tells her he will once the bug is gone. Xiao Liu does not know how to remove it but assured him she will do it. She knows how to transfer it to another person which she tells Xiang Liu and he agrees to have it transferred to him. The bug is removed from Xuan.

Xuan leaves town and comes back with the intention to take Xiao Liu to meet the White Emperor, she tries to escape with the help of Shi Qi but they get found and Xuan breaks both of her legs and also injuring Shi Qi (at that time Shi Qi didn’t tell Xuan he was Tu Shan Jing so Xuan used the opportunity to injure him). They are both locked in a cell together. They get close to each other and make a promise that Xiao Liu will only have Shi Qi in his heart. And that she will wait 15 years for him and have no one else in her heart.

FL identity is revealed. Xuan regrets abusing the one (unknown to him at that time) who he vowed to protect when they were young

You not alone cuz in my mind I’m thinking somehow this show will get an exception and the second part will be released right after. Denial “de nile” is a river in Egypt.

This gap is nothing, consider it as training for the period you gonna have to wait to watch the second part of this drama.

Jing is married to Feng Yi. She never touched her cuz he loves XY. She is pregnant with his brother’s (Hou) child. Jing gets drugged by his wife and so he doesn’t know whether he slept with her or not. So it is a big misunderstanding that leads XY and Jing to have problems.

Yeah I know. You can’t have it all. Grief is the price we pay for love.

After rereading the last few chapters of the novel, I really want Xiang Liu to have a good ending in the drama even though they won’t change it, I still want him to have some sort of happy ending. Perhaps get his own Xiao Yao in the afterlife.

It is FFB cuz XL (white haired) cannot enter any territory.

Our ML’s are as traffic lights:

Xuan = red
XL = Amber
TSJ = green

And FL is just the black border surrounding it there, just existing.

Yh he choosing her was politically motivated. CX is the same. He thought gaining power will protect her although that’s not what she ever wanted. She wanted a peaceful lifetime with her beloved even if she lost all the power and influence to get it. TSJ would sacrifice everything and Xiang Liu would sacrifice himself for her. They are the only two that I loved and cared for, especially Xiang Liu.

Since reading the novel, I’m on team YaoLiuJing. As long both of them are happy, I’m happy. Feng Long is like a wish version of Xuan, hot but too conniving.

The last sentence truly sums up CX, he was too focused on his mission not realising the person in front of him was the person he has been looking for. I don’t hate him but I don’t like him.

17 knew cuz FL blushed when she was taking his clothes off. XL knew cuz of the rabbit situation. As for CX not knowing well, CX is a living miracle. The guy has 20/20 vision yet cannot see to save himself. He is blind throughout. He is very calculating yet he could not put 2 and 2 together despite spending months drinking wine together.

That is because they were following the novel really closely. And 40 episodes are not enough to do the novel justice, even if they cut out some fillers. The only problem is that we won’t see second season until at least nov/dev because of new rules.

Well said, TSJ is my green flag, he deserves the world. XL is Amber, deserves the world too. And CX is just blood red. He is a miracle - a blind man that can see.
