what would people reccommend for fans of this? I’ve been watching Asian dramas for over 7 years now and only…
I do love a mixture of xianxia and contemporary dramas. In no particular order: - lighter & princess - time and him are just right - falling into your smile - love you give me - once we get married - here we meet again - you are my hero - love is sweet - begin again - who rules the world - till the end of the moon - love between the devil and the fairy - ancient love poetry - love and redemption - back from the brink - immortal samsara
On Reddit and multiple articles, I kept seeing posts stating how uncomfortable they are watching the younger FL…
I think I find it more concerning that people are imagining/interpreting this way. They must picture something that we don’t to make themselves uncomfortable. Like IRL most of us were in young SZ position where we had a crush on someone who was older than us and it was one sided. So the drama portrays this really well. I think some might be concerned about a young actress playing the part. But there should be no concern as the child actress played young SZ that literally admired DXJ rather than have full blown crush on him like ZL Sang Zhi did. Like if they watched the eps they would see her treating him more like a brother and that gradually changes as she grows older. I don’t even think young SZ even knew what a crush was tbh. But I find it quite hypocritical that ppl complain about age gap like there was not other cdramas that aired where the age gap between the ML and FL were like 20 years as well as the actors and actresses having similar age gap. If you gonna complain at least keep the same energy.
Don’t tell me they airing this tmrw? Cuz that’s airing simultaneously with Snow Eagle Lord. I don’t really know Tencents game plan but glad it’s airing. Now I got to juggle Destined, Snow Eagle Lord, Hidden Love and TLP. I thought tencent would wait at least till Hidden Love is over so that all the focus is on this but it is what it is.
lighter & princess (adulthood + flashback to school days), the starry love (xianxia), till the end of the moon (xianxia), back from the brink (xianxia), when I fly towards you (school drama into adulthood)
from tencent: Time and Him are just right (highly recommend, school into college and adulthood), love you give me (couple and kid drama, wholesome), here we meet again, a date with the future, nothing but you.
honourable mentions: please be my family Gen Z the youth memories
I also came across a few post on Reddit making these claims and you can tell they’re anti fans of Zhao Lusi.…
@NiaoNiao33 it’s crazy how I’ve seen (not watched) many cdramas where the age gap between the actors and actress were so huge like it felt uncomfortable watching certain romantic scenes (like the actors could be 20 and 40 as well as their characters being similar age) and I see no one complaining. But all of a sudden a 5 year age gap is so huge and making an innocent one sided love into something visceral. Where were they at when other questionable dramas were getting aired. There is nothing wrong with the drama, but deffo something wrong with the people who create these wild thoughts.
Ok... someone spoil me with the backstory on the stalker chick! Please. THANK YOU!
She is the creditor that DXJ talks about in earlier ep with SZ. The girl is the daughter of the father that DXJ’s dad murdered (hit and run then tried committing suicide to negate responsibility). She kind of pesters DXJ for his fathers mistake as if he’s the one who committed the crime. And cuz DXJ is so pure he feels guilty and have been sending her money even though it’s not his fault.

unfortunately she is gonna be a complete hassle to deal with, but doesn’t cuz that much damage to the leads (at least that’s how it was in the novel). But she gets help like on the very last chapters so probably during the last ep. I can’t remember when exactly the ML tells her but I do know that the FL finds out about the whole situation I think when she was shopping and coincidentally overheard the psycho and her mum arguing about it.

@7403129 the male lead’s (DXJ) father killed the psycho girls father on accident. It was a hit and run situation and to negate responsibility, he tried to commit suicide but failed and now is in a vegetative state. The ML is paying her as compensation cuz he feels guilty and is too good of a person but she is harassing him at home, his work place and as well as his personal life. She wants to marry him to make him suffer even though it is not his fault as to what has happened.
I couldn't agree more. Lusi is a rare talent in c- ent. I just love her. She brings out the best in her co-stars.…
well put! Like when I watched each show of hers I was like I don’t see Lusi with another male lead cuz the one she is with is perfect then I watch her next drama and I instantly fall in love with her being with another ML.
Can I just say ZLS is on a roll. There is rarely one drama that I watched of hers where I disliked it, she is amazing. I first found her on Netflix a few years ago on ‘I hear you’ after running out of kdramas to watch, from then on I instantly fell in love with her and her acting. She just seems so bubbly. Last few dramas were incredible (WRTW, LLTG, Gen Z and now HL, waiting for TLI). I have not watched many CZY dramas other than our secret and Mr Bad but I’m truly impressed. Both of their chemistry is unreal and it doesn’t feel forced at all.
Spoiler please. Whats the ending in the novel, what happened did it end SZ graduating or more than that? Thamks.…
She graduates, he proposes to her. There is no real love triangle. But it does make DXJ jealous and purse SZ. They don’t break up I don’t think (I read the novel couple of months ago).
When he will find about that he is her online boyfriend I am excited for the episodeAnd when she find out that…

Im actually scared did her parents really ask him to break up with SZ? What happened in the novel? I hate those…
Yes, but SZ doesn’t break up with him. She actually defends him. I think the parents are trying to look out for their daughter (making sure that she has the best future) however they start to approve their relationship as time goes on. So don’t worry they don’t break up at all in the novel and since the show’s fairly close to the show it’s ok.
