3) The thing is she was already traumatized by all what happened earlier. The main thing she was being "forced" to marry the uyghur prince and it's already been revealed that it was manshu behind this forced marriage alliance ( yet to be revealed in coming eps how she got such power to intervene) And who knows how many other wives that prince had and if she will be treated better there. Also she didn't want to marry him is in itself a valid reason.

But she just has 2 sad ending dramas. One and Only and tteom.

Lol I am here again after binging ep 7 and 8. Although I really made plans to prioritise my sleep, but Ig it's that thrill that made me watch even at the expense of my sleep. And OMG I was so right when I said the second case has more depth. Oh Lou chuo my apologies. I misunderstood you. This show yet again with another twist. I love how this show is clearly FOR the women. I scrolled through xhs comments and found people talking about a similar incident which happened in China omg. So it is actually close to reality. And damn so much hate for this drama. Ima be frank..just based on the happenings and good writing till ep8 and the kind of cases in future eps (mostly based on various kinds of problems faced by women) this drama is sure to be one of those superior quality dramas unless the script writer deflect from the now quality of writing. I have literally become obsessed with this show.

Finally amidst adulting, watched 6 eps. So the first ep had me feel bored cause there were things I couldn't understand and couldn't keep up with it's pace. Second ep is the one I started getting involved and understood things better and third ep connected the dots and had that plot twist reveal. I liked how princess after knowing she got played by manshu and Li Ning made sure to make them pay.

The second case started from ep 5 had even more depth and better plot and had me on the edge of my seat. The fighting scenes of bai lu are really impressive. I love this dynamic where FL (knows kungfu) is more dominant than ML. Bai lu is really custom made for peiyi's badass role. You can just tell from her mannerisms and glances how domineering peiyi is. And huai jin on the other side is too calm and obv has his own secrets. I am interested to know more ab his family. I feel like this drama is just getting better and better with every ep. Btw we got a new term "gold soil" lol.

As you reasoned, you are watching this for chemistry rather than detective cases, then this drama might not be for you. Ofc no need to push yourself. As you didn't like, please watch another drama.
