Title Gen Y Season 2 Spoiler
Y'all. I am so far gone. I was laughing and crying at the same time for like most of the episode.

Best parts about this episode? It was watching and reacting to it with BadPennyGirl. The commentary was SO hilarious and we were both just losing our minds- for both good and bad reasons. Also that ThanuWayu kiss was SO GOOD.

The worst part? Basically, the timing (not pacing) and a good chunk of the dialogue was not good. There are some possible script errors again. The pacing of the funeral part was bizarre as fuck.

Breaking it up into sections again!
-------------------------
❤ The Funeral

BadPennyGirl and I discussed early on in the season that if Pha dies, then how they handle the situation will either be very good or very bad. There pretty much can be no in between when handling stuff like that, especially in BLs. We were both hoping they'd give the mourning process a good amount of screen time. Something like showing a passage of time where both Wayu and Mark are still reeling from it. At some point Thanu comes in to help Wayu- and Mark does to! There's been a lack of Mark and Wayu moments this season. This would've been a great time to show that. And a scene or two of Sab comforting his cousin would've been a nice touch. Oh, and Mark would find ways to be there for Kit in person. And this would be the part when Kit finally talks about how he's truly been feeling about his best friend dying and the both of them have this very touching moment.

And ideally, it would've been at least a couple of weeks before either Thanu and Wayu bring up the idea of going some place. And they do so as a way to just get away from all of the stress.

Instead we got a VERY weird funeral scene: Kit isn't sitting next to Thanu and Wayu for some reason, they're all holding umbrellas even though it's not raining (I'm going to assume this might be a Thai thing and swiftly move on), Mark looks like a creep standing in the back corner watching Kit from a distance- and he texts him and Kit responds. Which is so weird, but understandable, I suppose. Since they're doing that separation thing and getting Kit mad while he deals with the death of his friend isn't a good idea, so I can see why Mark keeps his distance. But it's still weird.

And Pha's coffin is easily way too small. The scene looks like it was shot in a back yard or lot instead of an actual cemetery. Pha's older relatives aren't there for some reason?? SO bizarre.

And worse of all? They wrote it so that Thanu says some deep shit when it's absolutely not the time for it. And followed it up with a "Lets live life to the fullest, babe :)" as though his dead best friend isn't laying in a coffin that is 3 sizes too small for him 5 feet away from where they're sitting. WHAT. With what they've given us about his character so far, it makes no sense for him to say that at that time.

And then this is when the timing gets wacky: when Thanu drops off Wayu, Wayu mentions he as an exam tomorrow and needs to study. Okay, fine. Thanu suggests he stays with him and they go elsewhere to study and they do so at the cafe. Okay, fine. And then they insert an honestly cute JackKoh scene. But like. Pha JUST had his funeral. The tone shift was wild. Suddenly there's this funny little moment that feels so out of place. I would've been fine with no JackKoh this episode, honestly. And I do enjoy their scenes! Just not for this episode because there was a lot of heavy and tender moments that needed to be addressed.

Oh, and Thanu asks Wayu that same night, the same day where not 12 hours prior they were at someone's funeral, he asks with this grin on his face if Wayu would like to go on a trip. What. Once again, out of character! I have no issues with him bringing up a trip, it's just how it was brought up with the JackKoh scene thrown in there. Not good.
---------------------------
❤ Exams

We see that the very next day, everyone finishes their midterm exams and suddenly it's as though something super depressing did not just happen. The tone shift is out of wack. Then they have Sab and Phai say that Wayu and Kit are "much better now", and Sab's like "it'll take some time for them to get better", which hints that some time has passed...but the funeral, according to the dialogue, JUST happened. How are they magically okay after it?

The writers want us to believe that within 24 hours of the funeral, everyone is perfectly fine. Mark and Kit are back to their weird Thing, Thanu and Wayu are planning the one day trip, and the Juniors (minus Saendee and Pok) are going out to eat.

No. I refuse to believe all of that happens in such a short amount of time. BPG and I were like "lets watch the rest of this thinking there's been some weeks put in between both events, because we are losing our MINDS".

Now, speaking of Pok...
------------------------
❤ PokTong
So initially I had this long, written out thing about how I felt about the PokTong situation. Initially I was enraged because I thought they absolutely fucked up PokTong.

But after taking a break, doing other stuff, and eventually rewatching their scenes and actually thinking about it, I realized that they aren’t as bad as I thought. This may be long, but what I feel like my analysis is important, sooo....Anyway!

Basically, last episode we saw Pok attempt that half assed apology. And we saw Tong reject it.

Now, the thing about Pok is that this guy is pretty fucking stupid. We all know this. He doesn’t quite have the ways with words. Him being bad about appropriately apologizing in episode 10 is not surprising. Him saying what he said when he found out that it was Tong who alerted the principal about the bullying is not surprising. Him telling Tong to leave in episode 4 is not surprising. Not surprising, yes, but still very hurtful.
Poke is very much a “Do First, Think Later (Or Never)” kind of guy and clearly he’s gotten away with it for a long time. We see this again in this episode when in the first PokTong scene, he tries to apologize again, but starts off by saying that he has some kind of swim meet competition soon and that he can’t do well if he’s irritated. Now, to be fair to Pok for a millisecond, that’s true. Having this heartache will dissolve any concentration you have and affect everything, sure. But you dumbass, you don’t apologize like that! And Tong, rightfully, brushes him off.

Now let's talk about Tong. I’ve always figured Tong was allowing certain things to happen to him because he feels so guilty about what he did that he feels like he deserves these things. He and Pok are the same size- hell, you can say Tong is actually a bit bulkier. So he can easily push Pok away. But he doesn’t in the beginning. He allows Pok to make choices for him: example being when he chose the dorm room. He could’ve easily told Pok no and moved on, but he didn’t. Instead he agreed to living together, even though it’s an awful idea. Pok tells him it’s so that he can make sure Tong doesn’t hurt anyone else, but really, from this point on, he’s only hurting himself.

Once Tong leaves however we eventually see some changes.Tong makes the choice to try and help Pok with the bullying. Tong chooses whether or not he listens to Pok; sometimes he doesn’t and sometimes he does.Sometimes he walks away immediately and sometimes he listens then bounces. He chooses when Pok gets to hold onto his wrist or arm and for how long. He chooses if he wants to humor Pok and respond or not. Tong is growing and realizing that no, he doesn’t have to take this shit and he can make his own choices.

And it’s great!! It’s subtle because we have to wait days in between each episode and they’ve been getting little screen time the last few episodes, but it’s there. And I’ve been loving it.

So then we get to the second PokTong confrontation and Pok states that he can't concentrate on swimming because of their problem. But this time, in my opinion, it doesn't sound accusatory. Instead it sounds like he's actually acknowledging there's a problem and that it's his fault.
I love that Tong responds asking him if he's going to blame him again for possibly losing the competition. This is great because we've been seeing this growth with Tong where he's finally standing up for himself. And Tong asking that question, him choosing to stick around to listen, him letting Pok hold his hand, and last but not least, him telling Pok when they will talk about it later is telling. Him wanting to, and not feeling like he has to, talk to Pok and *choosing* to give him that tiny bit of hope is so incredibly telling.
Pok not arguing back with Tong when he asks the question is telling. Pok being so surprised when Tong says they'll talk later and gives him a bit of hope is also incredibly telling.

All of it, in my opinion, is important because most of the time when we see unhealthy couples like this in BLs, they’re situation is treated and explored so poorly. In the end, the victim never learns anything and accepts the abuse and the abuser continues being a piece of shit. And we’re meant to accept it and think it’s cute.

Seeing Tong grow into himself and finally accepting and acknowledging his own autonomy is powerful for a BL. And so is seeing Pok apologize over and over until he somewhat gets it right is also important.

I will say though, how their conversation goes down in the next episode is VERY IMPORTANT. They need adequate screen time and damn good dialogue.

I also want to say that I don't blame anyone who now hates PokTong or always hated them together. I know there are some people who think Tong should drop Pok regardless of my analysis. And I want to say that's also important! I would also LOVE to see a BL where the victim chooses not to go back and instead gets with someone much better. If they wanted to go that route with Tong, I wouldn't be mad. BPG has been talking to me a lot about KalaeTong and honestly...they could be cute. But also let me throw you guys another idea: KalaePokTong? Huh? Maybe??

Oh, and one last thing: whoever thought it was a great idea to have Phai be the one to tell Tong about intentions needs to be fired. Phai, the same character who chose to stick with Saendee. Saendee, who got Pok and Tong in this mess to begin with and hasn’t apologized for hiring the thugs. How tone deaf is that?? I’ve been wanting a scene where Kalae talks to Pok and/or Tong about their relationship because he was somewhat in the know about everything. But no. We get Phai. Ugh.

---------------
❤MarkKit (part 2)
Like I mentioned before, having Mark go after Kit and help him out would've been great, but that didn't happen. Instead they went right back to their separation thing. Which isn't 100% awful, but it does feel like it's dragging. This is another couple where I wish they have a well written conversation scene because they need it. Looks like we might get it next episode? Hopefully.

I will say though, the scene where they both hand made accessories for each other and their packages arrived at the same time was super cute. It does show that they both very much care for each other, so much so that they taught themselves how to make this stuff. Cute!

Now please hurry up and make up lol

----------------
❤The beach resort!

I desperately need to say this: I hate those shirts. I saw clips weeks ago of them shooting these scenes and I hated them ever since. The quote is WAY too on the nose for my liking. The choice of font type sucks. They could've worn adorable beachwear outfits! But instead I get these ugly shirts. Maybe if the designs were better and we got a scene of them shopping around, finding the shirts, and liking the message, then I'd be okay with them.

Other than that, these scenes were the best ones in the episode.
I'm sure some people are going to point out how weird it is that Thanu got them separate rooms. I'm going to counter that and ask if y'all paid any attention to their romance thus far? It makes sense. I'm fine with the choice.

The necklace reveal was fine, but initially I couldn't enjoy it because it's the first scene we get after the plethora of bad scenes that precedes it. So my head was still spinning. But in hindsight, it's cute. The kiss could've been better. BUT later on, they do give us yet another ThanuWayu kiss. But BETTER. It was so good, ohhh my word.

We get the 2nd PokTong scene that's poorly placed in the middle of the resort scenes, but then we see Wayu in his room unable to sleep because of these weird noises and whatnot.

So he goes to Thanu's room making all sorts of cute little excuses to try and ask Thanu if he could spend the night with him. Thanu, who's just not getting it, is like "Oh, I can call someone to fix your lamp?" Like, Thanu C'MON LOL.

It was very nice seeing Wayu finally get out of shell about all the physically intimate stuff during this whole part. After the first kiss, he initiates contact by putting his head on Thanu's lap and allows Thanu to almost kiss him when they share food. BadPennyGirl headcanons Wayu as ace and I LOVE that headcanon SO much! It's so very fitting for him and I love the idea of a main character being ace. Very nice.
----------------------

Summary:
Initially this episode came off as so very wacky and terrible. But then taking a second and thinking about everything...It's actually not too bad at all. The execution needs some help though. I can see myself rewatching certain scenes over and over again!

Title Big Dragon Spoiler
Ok so from the trailer one of the guys is getting blackmailed……with a s*x tape…..is that correct? Wouldn’t…
I'm trying to go back and find where I saw it (I believe it was the site where the original story is uploaded which I linked below), but I know I saw that the original story is labeled with Sa/r*ape from both sides apparently. Unfortunately, a lot of gangster themed BLs have these in their stories.

I kind of want to read the novel it's interpreted from, does anyone know the title and if it's anywhere in English?
The original is also called BigDragon. But it's not available officially in English. The author said they can't provide an English version because I assume there will be one coming out soon? IDK if by a publisher or what though.

Yeah! I thought BB had some good really points, but was sad to see so many giving other current dramas some flack. Enchante had a 8.3 rating and then suddenly dropped to about 7.5 a couple of days after the first episode aired. Made me sad because it's pretty good so far!

I agree with the statement about comparing series to one another! *A lot* of people have been doing it lately now that Bad Buddy is done. The more obvious reason as to why it's a problem is because not all stories are written the same way; there are a variety of formulas, tropes, and themes that are explored differently. Other lesser known reasons would be something like finance. Not all companies have the capabilities to hire the best writers, cinematographers, art directors, editors- the best crew, basically. So they make do with what they got! For example, it'd be ridiculous to criticize and make unfair comparisons about Siew Sum Noi just it didn't meet your personal merit and expectations that you had for Not Me.

Current example: Did any of you catch all the flack Enchante was getting the first couple of weeks? SOOOO many people were comparing it to Bad Buddy and didn't even give it a chance. It's unfair to that series.

But anyway, yes! I'm cheering for the actors and honestly the crew too. Hopefully the screenwriter gets better at their job and the director too lol

I really don’t wanna watch the series I just wanna know how pha died😅 can someone tell me pls?
First off, I would edit your post so that it's under a spoiler tag.

But yeah, Pha comes back at the very end of S1 to tell Wayu something. However, as he's leaving, Mark and Kit find him fainting and take him to the hospital (S2E1). They learn that he has a terminal illness that he already accepted his fate of dying. He does try a treatment that seems to be working, one that Kit found for him, but he stops it and chooses to die. We don't know yet why he chose to stop the treatment.

Speaking of SkyJao:

It's SO nice seeing the roles reversed where it's the top that's seeking the bottom, who doesn't really seem all that interested. I'm curious to see how they'll evolve.
On Secret Crush on You Feb 19, 2022
Episode two was a lot more tame. I'm assuming they really exaggerated the characters in the first episode since, well, it was the first one. The introductory phase.
Don't get me wrong though: Toh still collects a couple of things to save later, but it isn't shown to be as extreme as the first episode, in my opinion.

I found myself enjoying the whole episode this time, but especially the part where they're on their way to the party and are at the party. So far there honestly isn't a character I dislike; some I like more than others, but none that I straight up hate. I even like Prao! I think her actress is soooo pretty and her acting is very good.
I normally don't care for the whole female character fighting male gay character for the attention of the handsome male character trope. I much prefer it when they're friends and working together. But because the show is so over the top, I don't mind it in this case so far. Maybe Prao can stop going after Nuea and get with Kongkwan and Fon. I would be totally down for that OT3.

SkyJao fans will be pleased with this episode!

Great review as always!!

I LOVE the point you made about Pok and his werewolf costume!
I've always had this thought that one way Saendee could show he's changed is by helping Pok and/or Tong in some sort of way. So I'm really hoping they do down this route.

Hahaha YES I do enjoy chatting with you about the show too!

And yes! Despite everything I mentioned about the padding and whatnot, the whole episode didn't feel drawn out at all. I was also surprised when there was on a couple of minutes left LOL

I am looking forward to domestic ThanuWayu scenes after this, especially during the beach trip!

LMAOOOO I deliberately chose to not pay too much attention to Thanu and Wayu's costumes because I knew something about them would drive me nuts 😩

I actually think, for reasons I stated in a new post, that the circumstances of Pha's death were well planned.…
Hey!
So I do agree with a lot of what you said, especially with the music box and the part about Kit.

My issue isn't so much with what happened, but more so with how the information was delivered. For example, I have no issues with padding being used in stories. At times, they're definitely needed! I just feel like something happened before and during production that made the team use them quite a bit this season, but especially in the last couple of episodes. I've made note of them before, but in these scenes, they felt a little too off to me. I don't quite know how to explain it, but it they felt like instead of showcasing a cute, domestic moment, they just wanted to add something to makeup extra time.; it felt like padding for padding sake, if that makes sense.
I do love me some cute ThanuWayu moments and I did think these moments were cute, but they felt a little too drawn out for me. It definitely was not as bad as the MarkKit scenes in ep7. Just a little unfortunate.

The Kit phone as you've described definitely makes sense! However, with how Wayu is, I actually expected him, despite what Kit told him, to nearly run out the door, catch up with Thanu, and ask him to take him to the hospital. So I was surprised that didn't happen and instead he chose to stay.

The box, so to speak, that holds this story has cracks in it, a little more than the average BL- and I don't mind those cracks being there. I do understand and believe that there's a good reason as to why they're there and that those reasons are more than likely out of their control. Which is why I seldom ever mention them to begin with. I just felt like those blemishes were a little too noticeable this episode and I wanted to point them out and give them some thought this time around. I don't think they're terrible, but rather *very* interesting.

Also LMAO about Phai! There have been small moments in S1 where Phai says that Pok is his best friend. I'm sure all of the juniors are his best friends, but I don't recall him ever calling them that except for Pok. Plus Phai was the one that begged Tong for days to tutor Pok. So Phai wanting to help the two of them makes sense to me from that angle. I've lowkey been wanting a scene between Phai and Tong or Phai and Pok because of this.

WOOOOWEEE
Y'all ready for this week's review? This one is going to be messy.

--Character of The Week: Kalae for looking cool as fuck in his makeup? Saendee for also looking cool as fuck in his makeup? Pok as a werwolf looking SO cute? Thanu for purposefully spilling coffee on himself so he can take off shirt in front of Wayu?? I would say all four LMAO
--Not Character of The Week: None, surprisingly.

OKAY, SO. This episode...Oh, boy, this episode. The BIGGEST issue that I have with it is the editing and pre-production problems. I don't have issues with the acting or the characters- Well, one of them, but I'll mention that below in my usual format. But MAN this episode, in my opinion, has the weakest editing so far in all of S2. Maybe in the entire show.

❤ Production
(If you want to skip this whole section and go straight to the characters, you can.)

I've worked on film sets before, so there are things I'm going to notice whenever I watch a show. If I notice anything odd, usually I'll brush it off because I know how difficult it can be to work on set, get scheduling right, make sure locations and sets are ready, etc etc. Screenwriting is it's own can of worms, absolutely. And then you have producers breathing down your neck, affecting choices made while shooting. So I get it.

Now, or those who don't know: scenes are rarely shot in order- unless they have a technique that requires they do so, like one-shot films. They're usually shot by location. For example, all of the scenes that were filmed in Wayu's dorm room were more than likely shot all at once, whether that took a few hours or a couple of days. Thanks to editing, acting, directing and all of that, when put together, the story doesn't feel that way at all. But with this episode, it definitely felt like these scenes were shot individually.

The first half of the episode was shot very well! There were some really nice angles, like that close up of Wayu holding the bow in the light blue. Some of the transitions were really good too, like when Mark was walking away after texting Kit and then the camera angle changes so that we see Kit sitting just on the other side of the fake wall. Really good stuff! They love using that soft glow filter and it wasn't used too much in the first half.

But then the second half... from a production angle, I did not like it at all.
One issue they've had on and off all season is padding. Some scenes felt like they lingered a little too long. Once again, I brushed that off because I have a BIG feeling that some things had to be changed during production and because of scheduling, they didn't have too much time to really rectify it. So, fine. But the scene with ThanuWayu where they were taking pictures after they kissed felt too long. And when they were in Wayu's room, though I thought their interactions were very cute, once again certain actions felt unnecessary; we didn't need to see Thanu go and use the bathroom and then Wayu go and remove his makeup. I'm also unsure of why they mentioned the music box? Side note: BPG mentioned it's a plot hole because it was dropped and fixed by Mark earlier in the season. They could've just cut to Wayu giving Thanu coffee with Thanu thanking him for letting him use the bathroom. So I suspect those scenes are there for padding. Possibly not their fault, but sloppily edited, in my opinion.

And then we have the part where it looks like they might have sex, or at least make out more. But then the phone calls stop them. Wayu doesn't go to his phone to see who keeps calling him, which would've made sense. Instead he lingers with Thanu more, not bothering to get his phone and answer it...? And then he finally answers it after some time and we don't get to hear what Kit is telling him? Why?? I assumed that because he doesn't rush to the hospital that moment, then whatever happens next isn't going to be that serious...right?

But then we're at the hospital the next day and Pha is dying? According to Kit, he stopped the treatment...? And then what I assume to be Pha's mom comes out from ICU saying "Pha is gone" while crying. But then Kit, Wayu, and Thanu go in and Pha is NOT dead?? And then he asks Wayu to sing him a song, and he finally dies. All while there are some awful camera angles.

And I'm sitting here like "HUH????" The transition between these two scenes felt so off. My theory is that they filmed the Wayu Dorm Room scenes first and then the hospital ones. And maybe originally, the reason why Wayu doesn't go to the hospital right away is because Pha wasn't going to die just yet? But then something happened behind the scenes while filming the hospital stuff where they maybe had to rush Pha dying. Pha's actor, Big, is in another show that is currently airing. Maybe scheduling conflict? So they had to kill him off sooner? Because I was 80% sure they'd kill Pha off. Just not like this. And not yet.

AND THEN they follow it up with happy ThanuWayu moments. What?? There have been moments in the season so far where the juxtaposition between scenes were not well done. For example, after Pok and Tong have that very sad balcony scene, suddenly we're flung to a scene of Thanu happily walking to car after undressing in Wayu's room. Stuff like that doesn't give the audience enough time to process their emotions and thoughts. And they did it again this time, but much worse in my opinion because someone *just* died. I have my feeling about Pha's character that I'll talk about below, but WHAT. I think it would've been much better to cut to the credits while that song (that Bas is singing?) plays and then fade to black with no previews. Some shows have done this and it's very effective!

Some other production stuff that could've been better: 1) the use of that soft glow when Wayu was being cute and shutting the door. With Wayu it was fine, but DANG they put too much of that softening/blur effect on Thanu. 2) The fairy tale elf play could've been better. 3) The play with Kalae, Pok, and Phai was weird?? But I think it was more a translation error? When they descibed what the play was about early on, the translation didn't make sense.

Also, we're getting the beach/resort scene next episode? I honestly thought S2 would end with them happily vacationing together. Which...has me a little worried, not going to lie. Initially it said here on MDL that there were 10 episodes. iQiyi says 12, but...idk.

OKAY, lets move on to the characters.

❤ PokTong

I saw a clip from a while back where Bonus, Tong's actor, said he's sure the PokTong stuff is going to reach it's peak in the last 3 episodes like it did in season 1. So not much happening between then in this episode wasn't surprising and I did expect as much.

I also think giving them a little more time makes sense. I could not imagine them having their moment during the play stuff, absolutely not. However, Pok attempting to apologize during it while still in his werewolf Bad Boy costume makes so much sense to his character. He seemed desperate, but maybe hasn't thoroughly thought about his actions either. I don't blame Tong for not accepting it right away.

I still desperately want them to have a scene full of emotion like the balcony scene, but this time they talk things through. Talk about intentions and how they've hurt each other. Also, for the love of all things holy, either talk about how some of their sex was quite toxic or we see that via them having the most gentle and equally fulfilling sex scene we've ever seen from them. Like, honestly?? The rest of the ending of S2 could be a fucking train wreck, but I'd be pleased as can be if this happened.

Also, I'm not sure if, besides Wayu and Saendee, the costumes are meant to have suuuper deep meanings to whoever is wearing them. Like, we could say that Pok being a werewolf symbolizes change within himself.
Or they thought Pok beind a Bad Boy werewolf was hot LOL. I thought he looked VERY cute, though.

❤ Saendee and Phai

Short and sweet, their moment was cute.
Did you guys notice Klui reaching his hand out to help Saendee though?? He hesitantly pulled it back, but that's some development. Maybe in the end, they'll all be friends again?

Saendee being the one to say that if Pok and Tong really love eahc other, then maybe they can recover in a shorter amount of time is SO telling. That's my favorite thing about Saendee's writing: they have him say things that you would'nt expect him to say. I'd have thought Phai would say that, but nope, it's Saendee. It's very fun going back and watching his scene in hindsight because of this.

❤ MarkKit

Still doing their thing. As I mentioned earlier, the scene where Mark walked away and it was revealed Kit was a mere couple of feet away from him was nicely done! I think it shows that this...whatever This is, is coming to an end.

HOWEVER. I also think that they may try and use Pha's death as the reason for Kit staying. And if they do, then what would've been the point in having them do all of This?? Which...now that I think about it, wouldn't that be ironic?

Kit has been saying that they can't do certain things because it would all be in vain, thinking he's right about not telling Wayu about Pha (episode 2). And he was partially correct. Wayu and Thanu's relationship struggled for a bit when Wayu finally found out. But this time, he'd be completely wrong about him and Mark needing to be separated.
THAT would be interesting.

Not much else to say, other than that. NEXT.

❤ ThanuWayu

They were very cute! And I'm glad they finally got to kiss!

I know some people are going to get mad about it taking so long, but you guys have to understand that the reason it took so long was because a lot of obstacles kept getting in their way. They met each other years ago and would've fallen in love if it were for Pha (possibly) lying about it being him who saved Wayu. I think going this route with their love story rather than the typical formula in BLs where they kiss and/or have sex pretty quickly just to fulfill the audience's instant gratification is great.

Their journey so far has felt quite real, and having them kiss of the first time while dressed up tells me it's meant to be a fairy tale romance kind of moment. I think it was nicely done.

Thanu purposefully spilling coffee on himself so he can undress again in front of Wayu was hilarious. But this time, Wayu did not look away! Seems like they're finally ready to have sex.

And then Pha happens. Again.
Speaking of....

❤ Pha

I'm not upset that Pha died. I can see why some people would be upset, I'm just not. I mentioned above my thoughts on how it happened and why I'm not crazy about that.

One of the things that really stood out to me though was that apparently at some point, he refused treatment. This isn't surprising since some people with major illnesses choose to do this for a variety of reasons. Hell, he already accepted his fate but it was Kit who convinced him to keep trying. However, from a tv show perspective, I sort of wish they would've at some point directly told the audience about his decision.

This story is written so that we know just about everything. Choosing to hide certain bits of info can come off as very random instead of a good surprise when the moment comes. It's because we're so used to being in the know. It did feel random, but to be fair to them, they did leave some breadcrumbs, like with his makeup slowly becoming more pale and the lighting in his room not being as vibrant.

I'm still not quite sure how to feeling about the reveal.

The biggest thing that got me was this vibe that *maybe* Pha stopped treatment because of Wayu. I honestly hope that isn't the case, but it also could be, which is CRAZY to me.

Wayu denied Pha's advancements in episode 6 and that's just about the same time we begin to notice the changes. He stops Wayu from visiting him and seemingly only allowed Kit to visit that one time even though Wayu kept trying to. And then he asks Wayu to sing to him right before he dies.
And it all makes me VERY curious as to how the writers want us to view Pha's character. Because on one hand with him being a terminally ill, makes sense for him to act this way. Someone in his state would probably try and get with the person they once loved before dying and even say or do things that're hurtful. But on the other hand, Pha has a history of being manipulative. Are we still supposed to be suspicious of him or feel absolutely saddened by his predicament? Or is it supposed to be a mix of both?

Because to be very honest, I was like 98% suspicious of him the entire time. I figured he'd make it in the end and continue attempting to fuck things up for Wayu and Thanu. And maybe *that's* what the writers wanted us to think this whole time. Hmmm...

Well, those are my thoughts! I'm nervously excited about episode 10. It almost feels like it's going to be the last episode, and that terrifies me. We'll see!

Oh! You need a VPN if you don't live in Thailand. We both live in America and use a VPN set in Thailand. That's pretty much the only way it works on iQiyi. If you don't have one, you'll have to wait until it's uploaded on some other site, like bilibili tv.
EDIT: You can also watch it on Star Hunter's YT channel, but that requires a membership that's a little more pricier. Plus I believe you either don't get access or you get late access to extras, like BTS footage.

No. It's not due out until tomorrow at 11:20 am, EST.
Whoever set up the clock before the show aired got it wrong. I haven't tried it, but apparently it's either difficult or impossible to change the time.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!THEN WHAT WAS THE POINT OF HIS OBBSESION 😭😭😭
I came across a clip where it shows him and some of the others shooting other scenes. So there's still a good chance they'll explore the issue(s) between Thanu and Padbok. I'm a little worried how they'll go about it though.
