Title Evergreen Love Spoiler
This is so unrealistic and frustrating towards the end! The guy leaves her without a proper explanation, comes back a year later and the girl welcomes him with open arms?! What kind of boyfriend does that? Couldn't she have google the guys name or do some digging when he initially left, or even when he was staying at her place? Come on, who welcomes a stranger to her home, esp if she's living alone. He could be a serial killer! The girl lacks common sense and has low self-esteem that she'll accept a homeless dude. And this dude is douche for ghosting her.

Good thing this a romance flick!

Some of the events were predictable as I was able to call them before it was revealed. 1) Jojima was actually the accomplice of the mom. 2) Nao was actually the legit daughter and true bloodline of the shop's family, not Tsubaki. 3.) I felt like Takigawa was watching Nao to compensate for something he had done, but I didn't predict that he was the actual killer.

Entertaining J-drama nonetheless!!

I found this funny and entertaining. No need to think as you watch the movie... just enjoy the ride. Some people would see the female lead to be annoying, but IMO, she was funny and she played the character well. Maybe because I really liked her in "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas" that her portrayal in this movie didn't come to me as annoying. The teacher btw, is dayum fine!!! LOL!

It's a mediocre teeny-bopper flick. I didn't feel the chemistry and the plot was weak. What was with Satsuki's story? It was insignificant and shallow.

I did not like the girl! Aoi is so indecisive! Shiba confesses his love in the beginning but she brushes it off when she meets Sosuke. She obviously falls in love with Sosuke as the movie progresses, but the moment she finds out that Shiba has a tumor, she leaves Sosuke and chooses Shiba? I mean, I feel bad for Shiba for having the illness, but I don't see Aoi's decision as love, more of friendship, or forced love onto due to the sudden situation. Sosuke deserves better. Still, in the end, she ends up getting both guys. Really?

Btw, I read the manga and I really dig that story better that this movie. They don't play the illness/someone's dying card (I hope it stays that way).
On Meet Me after School Oct 11, 2020
I know a lot of people are liking the show and hyping it up, but I can't seem to enjoy it. I just finished episode 4 and I am hesitant to continue even after reading some spoilers. I just cannot seem to understand Hijiri's decisions. She has a nice and handsome fiancé her age, but she derails and falls for a 15 year old middle school boy due to her insecurity as a teacher and as an adult? As an adult/teacher, she must take responsibility and guide the boy to the right path, even if he's the pursuer. He is in a fragile age and needs proper guidance. I cringe whenever Hijiri gazes at the boy.

I'll put this on hold for now and see if I'll ever continue it.
Enjoyable drama but I was just not fond of the pairing. I really like Masashi, but just wished they weren't cousins and maybe childhood friends instead. I also hoped that the age gap between Yuri and Junko was slightly closer compared to 15 years. Maybe 10 years would have been better or even lower. Yamashita was the only acceptable love pairing in a societal perspective, without judgement. However, the ideal personality and best boyfriend material among the guys was really Masashi for me (if only they weren't cousins).

Had some good share of funny moments. I also like the pairing towards the end. They got that right! :)

Title Crash Landing on You Spoiler
Usually, I would root for the underdog in a love triangle, etc., but gosh, I really liked the chemistry of the main leads! Also the chemistry of the 2nd couple!

I just didn't like the ending that much. I didn't like they had to kill off Seung Jun and made Dan lonely again. I was hoping they staged or faked his death and he'll just pop out of nowhere... but to no avail. I know a perfect ending I'm imagining wouldn't be realistic, like... SeRi being able to meet the friends (the boys and housewives) she made in North Korea, and SeRi and Captain Ri having the freedom to meet anywhere and anytime they want. But hey, at least they took the realistic path and made it work. I'm also glad SeRi's second brother and wife got what they deserve. They are just horrible! I found the older brother and his wife adorable together!

I didnt like that ending.. she didnt deserve him running on her that way .. he didnt give her the chance to apologize…
Totally agree. I was like - dude, you ran away for a year, came back and got welcome back with open arms and a kiss by the girl. The girl is tooo easy!! I would move on and date the other guy probably. Haru was a coward from start to finish! But oh well.

This movie was pretty slow pacing. I guess if you're into slice of life genre, alongside romance, this is for you. Overall, it was an "okay" watch. I did like the cast of the movie though.

Should have watched this sooner! Great movie about friendship. Bittersweet!
On Finding Mr. Destiny Feb 24, 2019
The poster covers are deceiving. Thought would be a fun, rom-com, but instead it was a bit boring and slow-pace for me, imo. Watched it coz of Gong Yoo, but I only finished the movie solely coz of that.

Title The Con Artists Spoiler
It was a decent watch!

Random question though. Was Lee Ji Hyuk baiting Cho from the beginning? Because he took in Park Jong Bae and said to be "fake.... act like a traitor that even he will be deceived", back in the bar, even before the jewelry heist, before Cho caught them? Also when Lee made the fake statue for the auction that Cho won that was bugged? Was it intentional that he wanted to be scouted by Cho or was it coincidence? Or did I miss something?

Had this in my watch list because I watched the anime (and loved it), so I finally decided to take a look at it. Sorry to the fans who enjoyed it, but it's not as great as the anime. I actually cried hard watching the anime. I didn't feel like crying at all while watching this. I felt that it was a bit dragging and lacked some oomph. I am a fan of the female lead, but it wasn't enough to make it as close to the level of the anime.
