The female lead, Wang Yunna (played by Bai Lu), returns to Hong Kong after spending seven years in the United States to escape a deeply traumatic, toxic past.
Upon her return, she falls in love with a pure-hearted young fashion designer named Zuo Wensi, played by Chang Huasen.
She meets his sister, Wei Shudong (played by Samantha Ko). She realizes that his sister's husband—making him the brother-in-law of Chang Huasen's character—is none other than her cruel, obsessive ex-boyfriend, Teng Haiqi, played by Peng Guan Ying.
Yeah, ofc you can. A lot of them are very old and low-budget, but Mystic Nine, Ultimate Note, and Archives: The Nanyang Mystery are fans favorites. Plus, they give you background info so it won't be to confusing but i would start with mystic nine.
Unveil: Jadewind? Love Beyond the Grave? Archives: The Nanyang Mystery? On the other hand we gotta stop glorifying…
I thought the same, most people liked it bc of the visuals like i get it, but the story was good in the beginning, and it went downhill, (it's the same thing with Love in the Clouds they loved it because of the visuals not the writen plot which it was pretty good, but it wasn't a masterpiece)
