I feel bad for Yang Zi. Not only does she have to deal with haters from male celebrities, she also have obsessive fans who likes to control her. Yang Zi want to act in this project. If her fans don't like it then they shouldn't watch it. It's so sad that c-ent is now full of fan wars and sasaeng fans. I really want this drama to be successful.

Will you said the same to Xiao Zhan fans in the comment section defending his character whenever someone complained about how weak his character is? I started watching Chinese dramas 10 years ago, I think I can tell the difference between good acting and bad acting.

The plot is similar but it's actually adapted from a novel by Mu Qing Yu

I am not a super fan but I hate it when people attack her when she act cute. That’s her character. I’ve have also seen when someone attacked Xiao Zhan for his character, everyone starts to protect him by saying it the script’s fault. I really hate the double standard between female and male celebrities. I will also do the same for other celebrities.

In Ep 1, she mentioned that she just transformed into a human form after hundred thousand years. So everything will be new to her in her human form.

It is nothing new or disrespecting to categorize celebrities in China. Top stars like Xiao Zhan and Yang Mi are considered AA listed or S listed. They are the most popular and contributed the most traffic in China. Next will be the A listed celebrities. They too are high ranked but does not have as much as commercial power as S listed celebrities. Then it B listed, C listed and so on. Celebrities are listed this way for two reasons: to see who is popular and how much their salary is for each project. If a drama is low budget then they will cast a B listed celebrity as lead but if a drama is high budget then they will cast a AA or S listed celebrity. The more popular the celebrity the costly it will be. So there is no way a drama will downgrade and cast a celebrity that is less popular or have less commercial power than their original cast because it could mean they will lost viewership.

There is nothing wrong with idol-turned actor. Xiao Zhan himself is an idol as well. Also I am not saying anything bad as Zhang Yu Xi as she is currently the 'it' actress from H&R but she is in no way as popular as you think she is. She might be one day but she is not right now.

And Blackpink is kpop. This is the chinese industry where dramas make more money than idol groups so a lot of idols are all turning to acting to earn big cash. Singing is not a good career path for celebrities in China. So the more popular the idol, it is more likely that they will turn to acting. Only the non-popular ones don't go to acting as they have no commercial value and won't be casted by production companies.

Rather than knowing some actress from dramas you watched, you should look at the trending list of celebrities in Weibo to understand who are truly the famous and traffic stars in China. To compare a popular celebrity like Wu Xuan Yi to B rated celebrities like Zhang Yu Xi and Song Yi is very disrespectful. Also, if you know Chang Xiao then you should know Wu Xuan Yi too as she is also a member of Cosmic Girls.

That is not how the industry works. Just because some fans disliked Wu Xuan Yi, the producers will not change her with another actress. She is from Yuehua Entertainment and Yuehua is pretty big and have a lot of traffic stars like Wang Yibo and Fan Cheng Cheng. To change Wu Xuan Yi will indirectly offend Yuehua and it will be no good for anyone. Also, Wu Xuan Yi is very popular. She is a former member of Rocket Girls and she is often listed very high on the celebrity trending list. She is definitely more popular and famous compared to Zhang Yuxi and Song Yi. So, I think if they want to keep the original cast and there is no schedule conflict, then Wu Xuan Yi will remain as Xiao Wu.

Xiao Wu is a rabbit beast and not human so it make sense that she lack some intelligent and common sense.

This is Wu Xuan Yi's first acting project. For a newbie with no prior experience, she is pretty good. She is definitely better than Xiao Zhan was in his first roles.
